And because it does not pervade like investigating permanence and impermanence, according to our own system, the impermanent sentient being imputed based on the continuum of aggregates is established as the one who transmigrates in name only, and the previous reasoning does not harm this. Secondly: If a person transmigrates, then on the aggregates, sense bases, and elements, if one searches for it in five ways, if there is none, what will transmigrate? From appropriation to appropriation, if one transmigrates, then there is no existence. If there is no existence, no appropriation, then what is it that transmigrates? So it is said. If many revered ones say that the investigation of permanence and impermanence cannot harm, because one cannot say that a person is the same as or different from the aggregates, is permanent or impermanent, so will such a person transmigrate? This is also unreasonable, if the self-established self, on the aggregates, sense bases, and elements, when searching in five ways such as one and different, if it is not found, then what will transmigrate? Because it does not transmigrate. Furthermore, when transmigrating from the appropriation of a human to the appropriation of a god, is the existence of the human abandoned or not? If like the first case, between the two existences of gods and humans, without an existence endowed with the five aggregates, one must take birth as a god, this is unreasonable, because there is an intermediate existence between the two. If there is no other existence between the two, and there is no aggregate of appropriation, because there is no cause to impute as self, then what is that person? Because there is none. If there is none, what will one transmigrate into? Therefore it is unreasonable, because the place of transmigration is also not there. If like the second case, it is also unreasonable, because the self of the human and the god become one. Secondly: The cessation of formations, in no way is it reasonable. The cessation of sentient beings is also, in no way can it be reasonable. So it is said. If the cessation of a person is self-existent, then the cessation of the aggregate of formations is self-existent, in no way is it reasonable, because neither the aggregates nor the person are self-existent. The sentient being is substantially different from the aggregates, and the person who cannot be said to be the same or different, the cessation is self-existent, in no way can it be reasonable, because it is substantially different from the aggregates, and cannot be said to be the same or different.

Since there is no person, if it is determined that the one who wanders here does not exist by nature, then it can be determined that samsara does not exist by nature. If that is determined, then it can be determined that the one who attains liberation and the liberation to be attained also do not exist by nature, so first one should strive to realize that the person does not exist by nature. Second, there are two: jointly refuting that bondage and liberation are established by nature, and separately refuting them. The first is: Those conditioned things that have the nature of arising and ceasing, will not be bound or liberated, like the former, many sentient beings, will not be bound or liberated. Thus it is said. For those conditioned things that have the nature of arising and ceasing, there is no binding, that is, binding does not exist in itself, because binding does not exist in itself for each moment and continuum. The reason is that each of the moments of years, months, days, and morning, afternoon, etc., cannot bind, and the continuum also cannot bind. Those will not be liberated by nature, the reason is the same as before. Just as in the former, it is not appropriate to have bondage and liberation for conditioned things, sentient beings also do not bind or liberate by nature. The reason is that if it is permanent, there should be no bondage and liberation, and if it is not permanent, there should also be no bondage and liberation. The reason for the latter is that each moment that arises and ceases cannot bind or liberate by nature, and the continuum also does not bind or liberate in this way. Second, there are two: refuting that bondage exists by nature and that liberation exists by nature. The first is: If attachment is binding, then with attachment there is no binding, without attachment there is no binding, in which case will there be binding? If before the bound, binding exists, then it depends on binding, that also does not exist, the rest is shown by measuring the past and the unpassed. Thus it is said. If taking attachment etc. is binding, therefore bondage exists by nature, then the aggregates of taking attachment etc. do not exist in themselves as binders, if they exist, then they do not go beyond the two, therefore for those who have attachment etc., nature will not bind, if it binds, then for it there is again a need for another meaning of the binder, that is also not reasonable. Without attachment there is no binding
