That is not reasonable, because in those two, the milk itself transforms into yogurt without changing its essence. If you abandon the state of milk and want it to transform into yogurt, and the milk does not transform into yogurt, that is not reasonable. If the milk does not transform, then what other thing is the substance of yogurt? This is not reasonable. Second, refuting the proof of emptiness established by its own nature has two parts: the actual text and refuting contradictions with scripture. First: If there is a little non-emptiness, there will also be a little emptiness. If there is no little non-emptiness, how can there be emptiness? Thus it is said. As you wish, if there is a little non-emptiness, that is, a phenomenon established by its own nature, then the emptiness that depends on it will also have a little established by its own nature, but that is not reasonable. Because emptiness and selflessness are both accepted as common characteristics, if there is not even a little non-empty thing as the basis, then how can its emptiness exist by its own nature? It will not exist. Moreover, those who assert entities believe that both the subject and the predicate are established by their own nature, while the Madhyamikas believe that both are non-existent by their true nature, and that is the difference. Therefore, if the true emptiness of something like a vase is established as true, then the vase on which it depends must also be established as true, because it is contradictory for a false thing to be the basis of something that is truly established. The second is: The Buddhas said that emptiness is to make all views arise. Those who view emptiness, they are incurable. Thus it is said. Emptiness should not be regarded as truly established, because the Buddhas said that emptiness is for the sake of causing all evil views of clinging to truth to arise, that is, to eliminate them. Those who view emptiness as existing by its own nature are phenomena, and are extremely reprehensible, because they are said to be incurable, that is, to have views that cannot be cured. For example, medicine becomes the cause of disease. Second, for example, quoting the Sutra of the Source of Jewels. Third, it is the commentary on the thirteenth chapter called "Examination of Actions." Second, refuting the proof that things exist by their own nature has three parts: meeting with one's own

Refuting having self-nature, clinging to causes and conditions, and bondage and liberation having self-nature. The first part has three points: explaining the treatise, combining with scriptures, and stating the name. The first part has two points: refuting the establishment of self-nature of encounter, and thereby showing that encounter, etc., are refuted. The first part has two points: establishing the proposition, and explaining the proof. The first point is: the object to be seen, the seeing, the seer, these three, two by two, and all of them also mutually, there is no becoming of encounter. Likewise, desire, attachment, and the object of attachment, afflictions, the remainder, and the remainder of the sense fields, also exist in three ways. Thus it is said. Among the three, the object to be seen, form, the seeing, the eye, and the seer, consciousness, between the eye and form, or the eye and consciousness, and between form, not only that, but all three also at the same time mutually encountering is non-existent. Likewise, desire and attachment, or desire and the object of attachment, also between the two and all three also at the same time mutually will not encounter, it should be observed. Likewise, the remainder of afflictions, hatred and ignorance, etc., and the remainder of the sense fields, hearing, the hearer, and what is to be heard, etc., also combined in three ways, neither the two nor the three have self-nature encounter, do not have self-nature existence, this is the proposition. The second part has two points: refuting that the other does not have self-nature encounter, and refuting by analyzing one and different. The first part has three points: listing the syllogism, applying this method to others as well, establishing the reason. The first point is: if encounter becomes other and other, because of the object to be seen, etc., that other is non-existent, therefore it will not encounter. Thus it is said. If encounter has self-nature existence, then mutually becoming other and other must have self-nature encounter, that is unreasonable, because that other, the object to be seen, etc., does not have self-nature existence, therefore, for the Dharma spoken of above, encounter will not have self-nature existence. The second point is: for the object to be seen, etc., merely, not only is there no other, but also anything together with anything, as other is unreasonable. Thus it is said.
