Because it is necessary to generate (the view of emptiness). Although it is not definite for those with dull faculties, for those sharp-witted disciples who seek liberation, in order to generate Bodhicitta and to establish the vow to seek liberation, it is necessary to first generate the view of emptiness. As the Ornament of Clear Realization states: "Having sent forth correct knowledge and effort first, one becomes certain of ultimate reality." Therefore, it is meaningful that the commentary states that from the path of accumulation, the absence of truth is first ascertained, because it is in the sense of clarifying the view at the beginning of entering the path. Next, in the section "The Three Wisdoms Comprehend the Eight Topics," there are two parts: debate and response. First part: Some argue that this verse of praise in the Ornament of Clear Realization, which praises and prostrates to the three wisdoms, is it praising all the Prajnaparamita, or just one aspect? If the former, it is unreasonable, because there is the fault of having too few objects of praise. If the latter, it is also unreasonable, because in that case, it would only be permissible to praise one, such as all-aspect wisdom, but praising all three wisdoms seems to have the fault of having too many objects of praise. Response: There is no such fault, because there are two special reasons and necessities for praising in that way. The reason is that the three wisdoms encompass all the realizations of the four noble ones, and considering this encompassing, the three wisdoms are directly praised. The necessity is to know that the eight topics of realization encompassed by the three wisdoms are the nature of Prajnaparamita, and that these eight can also perfectly accomplish the wishes of the four noble ones. The three wisdoms encompass the eight topics of realization, because if one practices any of the three wisdoms, or practices any one of them, then one must be practicing any one of the eight topics of realization, or be encompassed by the practice of any one of them. Next, in the section "Listeners and those who follow them," the classification of Nirvana is generally introduced, and the way of explaining the classification. First, if Nirvana is classified by expressible terms, there are many types, such as Nirvana by nature, Nirvana of the Great and Small Vehicles, Nirvana with remainder, and Nirvana without remainder, and so on.

Ra. The so-called "Nirvana by nature" is a synonym for emptiness, because it is said that way due to the reason that it has never arisen as a Dharma of the afflicted side from the beginning. Nirvana, which is divided into samsara and nirvana, is generally a liberation from samsara. However, some people believe that if it is the truth of suffering, then it is necessarily samsara, which is not reasonable, because there is the truth of suffering in the continuum of the Hearer Arhat who abides in the Nirvana with remainder. It is not reasonable to think that all suffering truths are samsara, because the impure container world is the truth of suffering, but it is not samsara. In samsara, sentient beings who are bound by karma and afflictions are those who wander in samsara, but they are not samsara itself. If it is not like that, it is unreasonable, because all actions related to samsara become one, that is, where is samsara, where to wander in samsara, and how to wander in samsara are all samsara without distinction. According to our own system, how is samsara established as the nature of samsara? That is, the part or difference of being reborn again by the power of karma and afflictions can be established as samsara. There are many different views on nirvana, but in general, it is like this: individual cessation that abandons afflictive obscurations is the nature of nirvana. There are two types: individual cessation that abandons all afflictive obscurations and possesses the aggregates of suffering that are the result of previous karma and afflictions is called Nirvana with remainder; and individual cessation that is free from such aggregates of suffering is called Nirvana without remainder. Therefore, in this case, the meaning of remainder and no remainder is based on abandoning afflictive obscurations, whether or not there is a remainder of the aggregates of suffering. Other schools have different views on remainder and no remainder, such as the Prasangikas who consider whether or not there is a remainder of the appearance of truth, and some Sautrantikas and followers of scripture-based Mind-Only schools believe that at the time of the Hinayana Nirvana without remainder, the cause of conditioned phenomena is completely cut off. The Vaibhashikas believe that at the time of Nirvana without remainder, the continuum of matter and consciousness is cut off, so in that case, the meaning of remainder and no remainder is also
