Although it mainly depends on the basis, it is not absolute. Because by relying on the basis of arising, the ground knowledge and path knowledge can also be established. Reason: Because the ground knowledge taught in the third chapter and the path knowledge taught in the second chapter must be established in this way. Therefore, it must be admitted that the directly shown ground knowledge and path knowledge in the first and second lines of this praise have different ground knowledge and causal path knowledge. Otherwise, it will become irrelevant and contradictory to scripture and reason. For example, according to the previous reasoning, the directly shown Lesser Vehicle ground knowledge of the first line exists. Reason: Because there is its directly shown Hearer's Vehicle noble path. Because there is its directly shown Hearer's Vehicle noble one. Reason: Because the plural word "those who seek peace, the Hearers" directly shows the Hearer's Vehicle trainees, the noble ones. Reason: Because it directly shows them and implicitly shows the Solitary Realizer noble ones. Reason: Because when explaining this meaning, the commentary says, "The Hearers and those who are inclined towards them..." etc. Although there are many things to be examined, I have said only this much. Fourth, regarding the meaning of mother and son. Some say that just as there are three mothers in the world: the mother who gives birth, the mother who nurtures, and the mother who accomplishes purposes, similarly, here the mother also has three: the mother who gives birth to her own son, the noble one, the mother who nurtures, and the mother who accomplishes the desired purpose. Some say that the meaning of mother and son here is the meaning of establishment. That is unreasonable. Because the meaning of mother and son here is established through the way of what is born and what gives birth. Reason: Because the earlier knowledges give rise to their own sons, the later noble ones, and that is said to be the meaning of mother and son in this context. How does it give rise? Because by practicing the earlier path, one will attain the later noble state, and that is how it gives rise. Those who follow the Dharma, because they are devoid of the nature of one and many, etc., apply the verses appropriately, and show that the ground, path, and result are all empty of inherent existence. First, for the trainees who are to be trained by the Ornament of Clear Realization, there is a way to generate faith in the three wisdoms of the Mother, because for the three wisdoms of the Mother

Although I have not seen any harm to the essence and differences in abilities of the mother, just hearing the praises offered, one generates joy without doubt, thinking that the Three Wisdoms certainly possess such qualities of essence and ability. The second has three parts: identifying the object to be refuted by the valid sign that examines ultimate reality; explaining the reasoning that refutes it; and explaining the stages of generating realization. The first has two parts: the reason why the object to be refuted needs to be identified; and the way to identify it. The first is: in order to generate the pure view of realizing emptiness in the mindstream, it is necessary to first identify the object to be refuted. For example, to ascertain the non-existence of a pot through valid cognition, it is necessary to first have a general idea of the pot appear in the mind. This is because if one does not know what a pot is like, one cannot ascertain that a pot does not exist anywhere. Similarly, if one does not know what the object to be refuted, true existence, should be posited as, one cannot realize the non-true existence that is the refutation of that object. As stated in the "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life": "Without touching the object of investigation, one cannot grasp its non-existence." The second is: Regarding the identification of the object to be refuted according to the system of the Svātantrika school, I have already explained it in detail elsewhere, as explained in the Madhyamaka Manifestation. To summarize here: phenomena such as forms are posited by the power of appearance to an uninjured mind. This is because they are merely posited by the power of appearance to an unconfused mind that is not corrupted by immediate causes of confusion. That is, they are merely posited by the power of appearance to a conventional mind that agrees with reality. If that is the case, one cannot posit existence merely by the appearance to a confused mind that does not agree with reality, such as the perception of a blue snow mountain, and such as the belief in true existence. This is because the color of the snow mountain is not blue, and true existence cannot be posited. Therefore, that which is not posited by the power of appearance to an uninjured mind, but is established from the perspective of the unique way of abiding of the object itself, is the ultimate object to be refuted by the valid sign that examines ultimate reality. This is because that which is established merely by the power of appearance to an uninjured mind is the conventional way of existence of phenomena such as forms. Therefore, phenomena can be posited by the power of appearance to an uninjured mind, but not without the power of appearance, but by their own unique
