As in the case of "simultaneous," etc., regarding the classification of what is to be abandoned and the antidote, there are two types: general and specific. The first is: the way the antidote abandons what is to be abandoned has different meanings. For example, vows abandoning what is to be abandoned is a temporary abandonment; when the actual body of the first dhyana arises, it is said that the desire realm's afflictions are abandoned, meaning that during that samadhi, the desire realm's afflictions are not allowed to manifest; if one obtains the forbearance of the path of application, one will not be reborn in the lower realms, because the conditions are not complete; for example, when the noble ones abandon suffering and its origin, and birth, aging, sickness, and death, the former means that they no longer occur, and the latter means that karma and afflictions no longer cause them; for example, when the Sambhogakaya Buddha abandons impure realms, it means that he does not reside there; for example, when a holy person abandons bad friends, it means that he does not associate with them; for example, when a monk abandons afternoon meals, it means that he does not eat them at that time. However, the way the path of no interruption of seeing and meditation abandons what is to be abandoned is by permanently abandoning it through the antidote leaving a mark. The way of abandoning is: when the path of no interruption of the Mahayana path of seeing arises, the tendency to manifest and the cessation of conceptualized clinging to reality are simultaneous. The way that the completion of that arising and the completion of the cessation of conceptualized clinging to reality abandon the two is simultaneous. Similarly, when the path of no interruption of the peak of existence arises, the tendency to manifest and the cessation of innate clinging to reality are simultaneous. The way that the completion of that arising and the completion of the cessation of innate clinging to reality abandon the two is simultaneous. Similarly, when the path of no interruption of the Hearer's path of seeing arises, the tendency to manifest and the completion of arising, and the tendency to the cessation of conceptualized clinging to the self of a person and the completion of cessation are the way of abandoning. And when his path of meditation, the vajra-like samadhi, arises and is completed, the way of abandoning innate clinging to the self is as before. When the path of no interruption of the Pratyekabuddha's path of seeing and meditation arises, the tendency to manifest and the completion of arising, the tendency to the cessation of all conceptual thoughts of clinging to external objects together and the completion of cessation are all as before. However, when the paths of no interruption are completed, although those objects to be abandoned that are their own share have ceased, they are not abandoned, because

This is because the liberation led by these, or at the same time as it arises, is established as having abandoned those to be abandoned. As the commentary says, "The thief is expelled" and so on, the meaning is like that. After that, in the context of "as it is thought" etc., there is a way of establishing a definite number for the Sutras, that is, the Sutra that directly shows the ultimate truth as the main thing to be explained and speaks according to the literal meaning, is the way to establish the Sutra of Definite Meaning. For example, the three types of extensive, medium and concise. The Sutra that does not directly show the ultimate truth as the main thing to be explained, is the way to establish the Sutra of Provisional Meaning. The latter has two types, according to the literal meaning and not according to the literal meaning. For example, the Sutra "Alas! All conditioned things are impermanent" and so on, is according to the literal meaning. The Sutra that is not according to the literal meaning has two types, the Sutra with Intent and the Sutra with Hidden Intent. These two have a way of establishing them, that is, the Sutra that speaks not according to the literal meaning with the intention as the main thing, is the Sutra with Intent. The Sutra that speaks not according to the literal meaning with the necessity as the main thing, is established as the Sutra with Hidden Intent. If the first one is divided, there are many types, because there are four intentions such as the intention of the three equalities. For example, the Sutra "At that time he became the Buddha Vipaśyin", is the intention of the three equalities. For example, the Sutra "Father and mother are to be killed" and so on, is the intention of other meanings. The Sutra that shows that one can be born there just by making a prayer to be born in Sukhavati, is the intention of other times. For the sake of those who want to acknowledge the self-sufficient substance of the person, (the Buddha) says to their face, "Monks, there is a burden, there is a bearer of the burden" and so on, showing its existence like this, is the intention of the person's thought. The first one is that the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, speak with the intention of the equality of the three doors of perfecting the accumulation, attaining the Dharmakaya and accomplishing the benefit of others. The second one is spoken with the intention of abandoning the attachment like parents and the destructive view like the king and its retinue. The third one is spoken with the intention of being born there at some other time in the future. The fourth one is spoken with the intention of making the practitioner reasonably hold on to the cause and effect.
