Because it is established by increasing it from there. Fifth, there is meaning in the words, because "lineage" means cause. Because it is the cause of becoming a Buddha, whether real or imputed, therefore it is said that way. Sixth, here we do not want sentient beings with severed lineages, because the lineage of abiding nature pervades the continuum of all sentient beings, so all sentient beings are capable of attaining Buddhahood. The reason is that the defilements of the mind-continuum of sentient beings can be separated. The reason is that defilements arise like sudden clouds and are not the nature of the mind. The sutras that speak of the existence of severed lineages are provisional, because they are explained as provisional through the three aspects of intention, necessity, and harm to reality. There is an intention, because it is intended that those with wrong views who hate the Dharma will not attain liberation for a long time. There is a necessity, because it is to prevent them from hating the Dharma. There is harm, because the obscurations in the continuum of sentient beings can be abandoned by antidotes, and the activities of the Buddhas enter into the continuum of all sentient beings, and the lineage of abiding nature pervades them, and so on. The lineage of the Buddha-nature abides in the continuum of all sentient beings, as it says in the Uttaratantra: "The Thusness is in all, without distinction, yet utterly pure. Therefore, the Thus-gone One is its nature, hence it is said that all beings possess the womb." And it is explained through nine examples and nine meanings. Seventh, there is a way to guide from the lineage, first, as explained in the Shravakabhumi, after understanding their aspirations, they hear the Tripitaka of the Greater and Lesser Vehicles, and then guide their meaning. Then, when guiding according to the stages of the path of the three types of persons, they are gradually guided in how to learn renunciation, loving-kindness, compassion, bodhicitta, and the six perfections of conduct, and so on. However, it is not contradictory that this Ornament does not explain lineage first, but explains bodhicitta first, because if it is according to the order of arising, it should explain lineage first, but here it is from the perspective of entering the Mahayana path, according to the order of explanation, so it is only that bodhicitta is explained first. Expelling thieves and bolting the door
