The two concepts focus on their respective objects, the apprehended and the apprehender, based on how they focus on the object and the subject. The apprehended is the object, such as form, and the apprehender is the subject, such as a person or consciousness. There is a meaning of holding the enjoyment and the enjoyer as true, that is, holding what is to be known, cultivated, abandoned, and attained as true through actions, which is the meaning of holding the enjoyment as true. Holding knowers and knowers, cultivators and cultivators, abandoners and abandoners, attainers and attainers, etc., as true through various actions and agents, is the meaning of holding the enjoyer as true. There is a difference between substance-grasping and imputation-grasping, which is established based on focusing on substance and imputation. There are many kinds of substantial existence from the perspective of nomenclature, namely, substantial existence established by reason, permanent substantial existence, functional substantial existence, and independent substantial existence. These have differences, that is, all knowable things are the first, permanent things are the second, objects are the third, and consciousness and color are the fourth. The latter is a real substantial existence, while the first three are not real, because there are things that are not substantial existence and exist, and if it is permanent, it is pervaded by not being substantial existence. There is a difference in imputed existence, such as a person, a chariot, a pillar, a vase, etc. Third, the number is definite, because the number of phenomena of the apprehended and the apprehender is definitely four. Fourth, there is a reason for arranging the four concepts in that order, that is, the four concepts are explained in this way because of the ease and difficulty of subduing them. Because there is a difference in the ease and difficulty of certainty for the phenomena of the apprehended and the apprehender. Fifth, there is whether it is in the form of affirmation or negation, because for the object of conventional phenomena, most are affirmative concepts, and those that focus on emptiness are all negative concepts. Sixth, there is a need to explain the four concepts of grasping at truth that focus on the phenomena of the apprehended and the apprehender here, because it is to show that one should not grasp at truth in any object or subject that enters and returns. The mind does not yield, etc.

In these instances, there are generally two types of instructions: general and specific. The first is that, in general, there is a distinction of a guru, because it is established as a person who can well show oneself the points of what to adopt and abandon. There are two types of this, namely, the special and the ordinary. The reason is that it is so merely by showing definite benefit and higher realms. The second is that there is a distinction of a guru for a Bodhisattva on the path of application, because it has two types: an external guru who fully shows the means and wisdom, and an internal guru who holds it without falling to the extreme of either samsara or nirvana. These two have differences, because like the supreme emanation body who teaches the Dharma is the first, and the special means and wisdom of its lineage are the second. In the case of "the six dharmas of realization," etc., regarding the classification of lineages, there are two views: the Sravaka school and the Mahayana. The first is that the Sarvastivadins consider a mind that is not attached to self and what belongs to self as a lineage. Moreover, being content with just a coarse Dharma robe, similarly, the three minds that are content with just coarse merit and just coarse dwelling, and the four that are fond of renunciation and meditation are considered as the lineage of the noble ones. The first three are the auxiliary conditions for practicing the path, and the fourth is the actual way of practicing it. The second is that there are two views: the Mind-Only school and the Madhyamaka school. The first is that there are four: essence, division, difference, and how lineage is established as conditioned phenomena. The first is that it exists, because it is something capable of producing its own result, a non-defiled concept. That is, those who accept the alaya consciousness consider it on top of the alaya consciousness, and those who do not accept it consider the seed of the non-defiled mind to be on top of the six internal sense bases. The second, if divided, there are two types: the naturally abiding lineage and the developing lineage. The third, these two have differences, because the one that has not been nourished by the conditions of hearing, etc., is the first, and the seed of the non-defiled mind that has been nourished is the second. The Mind-Only school that follows the scriptures accepts sentient beings with extinct lineages, as it says in the Ornament of the Sutras: Some beings are certain to engage in evil, some beings always engage in
