Because there is a way of criticizing "increased mother," that is, because it is said, "even greater than increase," and so on. The third and fourth have ways of explaining the meaning and summarizing the meaning. The first is, such as "in this, all-knowingness," and so on, and the second is, because it is explained by "therefore," and so on. In the context of "Ravior, what is the path of the Hearer," and so on, identifying the three knowable paths taught here, from which of these three paths do the three, knowing, arising, and perfecting, arise? The extent of the three, perfecting, maturing, and purifying. Identifying the true limit and then realizing its extent. And five, such as explaining the general and specific meanings. Although there are many different views on the first, there is one's own system, that is, the wisdom that directly realizes the selflessness of the person is the path of the Hearer's knowable object taught here, and it is also the path of the Hearer from the perspective of conceptual designation. Similarly, the wisdom that directly realizes the emptiness of the two apprehensions is the path of the Solitary Realizer, and the wisdom that directly realizes emptiness is the reason for establishing it as the path of the Buddha. The first two abide in the category of the Hearer and Solitary Realizer's realization, and are the main objects of meditation, so they are called their paths. But these two are not the actual paths of the Hearer and Solitary Realizer, because they also exist in the continuum of the Great Vehicle's noble ones. Second, the way in which these three paths generate the three, knowing, arising, and perfecting, from which path is that, although those Great Vehicle practitioners with definite lineages who have not previously followed the inferior path have perfected the coarse types of Hearer and Solitary Realizer's realization from the first ground, and the coarse types of abandonment from the eighth ground, because their perfecting of the Hearer and Solitary Realizer's abandonment and realization, and their becoming Buddhas, are simultaneous, they simultaneously abandon the two obscurations. The reason is that the Compendium says, "Simultaneously abandoning the obscuration of afflictions and the obscuration of knowledge, simultaneously becoming an Arhat and a Thus-Gone One." From the first ground, a coarse type of realization is perfected, because the direct realization of the two selflessnesses arises on that ground, and from the eighth ground, a coarse type of abandonment is perfected, because the manifest clinging to truth is abandoned. If from the first ground one strives to abandon afflictions as the main object to be abandoned, as do Hearers and Solitary Realizers, then one can abandon it, because the first ground practitioner has more path realization and merit than the Hearers and Solitary Realizers.

Because it possesses the power of the path that incorporates differences such as faculties and senses. The Mahayana path of seeing, in the practice of the forbearance of the Dharma of suffering, contains the meaning of the practice of abandonment and realization of Hearers and Solitary Realizers. Third, the three, perfection, maturation, and purification, each have their own measure. The complete perfection of the power of the root of virtue, which is the cause of being able to effortlessly accomplish the benefit of others while remaining in a state of single-pointed samadhi on the nature of reality, is the measure of the complete perfection of the aspiration prayer mentioned here. The complete perfection of the power of the root of virtue, which is the cause of being able to establish countless sentient beings, the retinue to whom countless manifestations of the body are shown in hundreds of thousands of billions of Buddha-fields, etc., on the noble path by merely teaching a single verse of Dharma, is the measure of the maturation of sentient beings mentioned here. The complete perfection of the power of the root of virtue, which is the cause of the accomplishment of the special Buddha-field where one will become enlightened, is the measure of the purification of the Buddha-field mentioned here. The latter has two measures of purification of the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya Buddha-fields. The first is that in the Buddha-field where one becomes enlightened as the Sambhogakaya, the retinue is entirely composed of noble Bodhisattvas. The second is that in the special Buddha-field where one becomes enlightened as the Nirmanakaya, the retinue is entirely composed of those with the five clairvoyances. Through the complete perfection of the power of the root of virtue, it also becomes the measure of the purification of the Buddha-fields of these two. If it is a Buddha-field where the manner of becoming enlightened as the Nirmanakaya is shown, it is not necessarily a pure Buddha-field. Because our teacher, although he showed the manner of becoming enlightened as the Nirmanakaya in this Buddha-field, this is not a pure Buddha-field. The pure Nirmanakaya Buddha-fields are also not the same. Some Buddha-fields are equal in extent to the three thousand great thousand worlds and are used only by the noble ones. Some are small in extent and even ordinary beings can be born there. In some, those who are born there can never fall back into the lower realms. In some, even if they are born there, they can still fall back. For example, Sukhavati is a miraculous birth, and in the Buddha-field of Akshobhya, it is a womb birth, etc., they are not the same. Fourth, explaining the measure of identifying and manifesting the ultimate reality. There are two types: general explanation and the identification of the ultimate reality mentioned here. The first is that the ultimate reality is the same as emptiness. The Madhyantavibhaga says: Emptiness in short
