凡是那能使坛城持续到轮回边际的美妙声音，一旦落入任何应化众生的耳中，也就是说，一旦听到，就能夺走该应化众生的衰老、老死，也就是能断绝这些。第二是，从“声音柔软而温和”到“若能宣说天空的梵音才能象征”。这显示了两个方面：实质和它的作用。第一是：至尊您的话语有六十四个支分，那是什么呢？柔软，温和，悦意，合意，清净，无垢，明亮，悦耳动听，值得倾听，不僵硬，美妙，温顺，不粗糙，不粗野，非常温顺，悦耳，使身体平静，使心灵平静，使心满意足，产生喜乐，完全不执著，应该完全了解，应该完全理解，非常清晰，令人愉快，令人非常愉快，使一切了解，使一切理解，合乎逻辑，有关联，没有重复的过失，具有狮子的声音的力量，大象的声音，龙的声音，手行也就是龙王的声音，乾闼婆的声音，迦陵频伽鸟的声音，梵天的声音，妙音鸟的声音，像天帝的妙音一样悦耳，像鼓的声音一样，不傲慢，不高低，跟随一切声音，音节清晰，没有不完整的，不沮丧的，不虚弱的，非常喜悦的，普遍的，可理解的，持续的，有关联的，使一切声音圆满，使诸根完全满足，不被轻视的，不变的，不仓促的，在眷属的坛城中完全闻名的，平息贪欲的，调伏嗔恨的，消除愚痴的，因此能消除三种毒素，摧毁魔军，以具足一切殊胜的方式出现，因此具足六十四种支分。那些有“ཞིང་”和“ཅིང་”的是连接词。

Whatever melodious speech continuously maintains the mandala until the end of samsara, once it falls into the ears of any disciple, that is, once heard, it seizes the aging, old age, and death of that disciple, that is, it cuts off those things. Secondly, from "speech is soft and gentle" to "it can be symbolized if the Brahma sound of the sky is proclaimed." This shows two aspects: the substance and its function. The first is: Your speech, venerable one, has sixty-four limbs, what are they? Softness, gentleness, pleasantness, agreeableness, purity, immaculateness, brightness, melodiousness and pleasantness, worthiness to be listened to, non-rigidity, melodiousness, tameness, non-roughness, non-coarseness, extreme tameness, pleasantness to the ear, making the body calm, making the mind calm, making the heart satisfied, generating joy and happiness, completely unattached, to be fully understood, to be fully comprehended, very clear, making happy, making very happy, making all understand, making all comprehend, logical, related, free from the fault of repetition, having the power of a lion's voice, the sound of an elephant, the sound of a dragon, the hand-goer, that is, the sound of the dragon king, the sound of a gandharva, the sound of a kalaviṅka bird, the sound of Brahma, the sound of a śaṅśaṅteu bird, as melodious as the melody of the lord of the gods, like the sound of a drum, not arrogant, not low, following all sounds, clear syllables, without incompleteness, not discouraged, not weak, very joyful, pervasive, comprehensible, continuous, related, making all sounds complete, making all senses completely satisfied, not despised, unchanging, not hasty, completely renowned in the mandala of the retinue, pacifying desire, subduing hatred, eliminating ignorance, thus eliminating the three poisons, destroying the armies of demons, appearing in a way that is endowed with all kinds of excellence, therefore endowed with sixty-four limbs. Therefore, neutrality was maintained here. These sixty-four qualities are, as stated in the *Inconceivable Secret Sutra*: The speech of the Tathagata, the peaceful wisdom, possesses sixty-four aspects. What are these sixty-four aspects? For example, the emanation of gentle speech, and so forth. As stated in the meaning of the sutra, and in the *Twenty Thousand Verses Sutra*: In order to show the virtue or root of sentient beings' realms, as explained extensively by "gentle," and so on. In this Dharma practice and some other texts, there also appears "the mandala of the unexamined wheel," and in some places it is written as "unmarked." Unmarked is explained as not being rough, and I think that is the meaning. Secondly, as mentioned above, all sixty-four sounds, even a single part of the voice, lack nothing. Its continuous function is to give happiness to the ears of fortunate disciples as long as the sky is pervaded, that is, until the end. Here, if the meaning of "pervade" is explained in this way, it seems appropriate, because it is not that the sky has an end, so it is said to pervade. Therefore, "ultimate" refers to the way of examining the end, just as the meaning of "how far does the sky reach?" refers to the invisibility of its edge. When giving happiness to the ears of the fortunate, the sound does not seem too loud to the person who is close to you, and it is not too small for the person who is far away, but the size is moderate. For example, when various colors of paint meet crystal, they appear in various colors. Similarly, for countless sentient beings to be tamed, the speech also changes to match their respective languages. The speech emanates not only from the mouth, but also from the crown of the head, the space between the eyebrows, the throat, and so on, as described in the *Inconceivable Secret Sutra*: hair, forehead, eyes, ears, nose, shoulders, fingers of the arms, ribs, chest, navel, secret place, thighs, knees, calves, ankles, soles of the feet, etc., and other marks and examples, such as the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks, are clearly shown to come from all parts of your body. However, even if it appears in this way, there is no thought of "I do this and that" for all of these.
