That is so. In reality, my inner thoughts are like those with the consciousness of an animal, please look upon me with compassion, compassionate protector. That is (the above content). Samsara is called the ocean because the depth of the ocean is like Mount Sumeru, and the outer edge of samsara is long; just as makaras and other beings live in the ocean, birth, old age, and other things live in samsara. There are also many other similarities. Leisure and endowment should be understood from elsewhere. This support is similar to a boat, as it is said in the Bodhicharyavatara: "Relying on the boat of a human body, one can cross the great river of suffering." That is to say, a boat is the best method for crossing great rivers and oceans, and similarly, the leisure and endowment of a human body is considered the supreme method for crossing the ocean of suffering. Furthermore, since one needs to accumulate a great deal of merit, it is difficult to obtain, and relying on it, one can accomplish many happinesses in the future, so obtaining the leisure and endowment of a human body with great meaning is not like something indestructible. On this basis, one cannot prevent it with one's own or others' power, that is, one cannot make it return. Moreover, one cannot escape to another place where the Lord of Death cannot reach, the messenger of the Lord of Death with such power, that is, birth, that is, death will definitely come. Not only that, even though one has seen that one is controlled by disease and old age, and it has already been manifestly established, there is no certainty as to when one will die, and at the time of death, one must abandon everything such as body, possessions, and retinue, knowing full well that one will go alone to the next world, yet letting the years, months, and days pass meaninglessly, please have mercy on me, who am extremely ignorant, and say with compassionate pity: The time has come! The so-called messenger of the Lord of Death is because the Lord of Death, Yama, is the king, and death is like his messenger, so it is said to be the messenger of the Lord of Death. Another way of saying it is that one can also directly call death the messenger of the Lord of Death. Sending is dispatching, meaning sending. Regarding the phrase "knowing full well that one will go," the Three Heap Scattered Verses says "without thinking of going." Moreover, needless to say, one has the confidence to obtain ultimate happiness and the state of definite goodness. The excellent higher realms praised by the Able One as a bodily support for accomplishing the path of definite goodness, even just the body of a good realm

I do not have the confidence to fight, would you abandon me with indifference? You should not be indifferent! Confidence means obtaining certainty, and this is a negative modifier for the following sentence. Therefore, it means do not be indifferent, please do something for me. Even if one has obtained a body of leisure and fortune in the heavens, what is the use if one does not have the power of wisdom to properly discern the meaning of the scriptures, and has not found the right path? One will still fall back into the ocean of samsara. Therefore, because of being obscured for a long time by the darkness of ignorance and delusion, and being unable to properly discern what should be taken and abandoned, I who am completely confused and ignorant, please grant me the lamp of wisdom that can well understand what should be taken and abandoned. Here, delusion does not only refer to clinging to reality, but also to ignorance of what should be taken and abandoned. The reason why it is named darkness and dimness is that just as dimness or darkness obscures objects in the evening, it also obscures the recognition of what should be taken and abandoned. Wisdom is called a lamp, just as a lamp dispels darkness and makes objects appear, it also destroys delusion and makes profound meanings appear. The second part is explained from "the blazing iron" to "please liberate". This part is divided into two points: separate explanation and common explanation. The first point has six aspects, the first of which is to contemplate the suffering of hell, putting the eight hot hells together to tell: born and existing on the ground of blazing iron, hot and rough flames come from the four directions and burn, and also a rain of weapons falls from the sky on the body, terrible messengers of Yama seize and pierce with the sharp tip of the iron mill, some are poured molten copper juice into their mouths, which is very hot, and there are those who pierce the tongue with burning iron nails, experiencing such suffering. The rain of weapons falling refers to the Reviving Hell, piercing with the sharp tip of the mill refers to the Hot Hell, and the others.
