From the perspective of classification, various categories of karma are shown, what kind of karma produces what kind of result, and four other categories of karma. The first is divided into three types: classification from the perspective of results, classification from the perspective of causes, and classification from the perspective of both. The first is divided into three types: virtuous and so on, three types of merit and so on, and three types of karma that show the difference in experiencing retribution. The first is: Karma is pleasure and displeasure and others, it is virtue and non-virtue and others. It is said. The Dharma nature of the contaminated virtuous karma is called happy karma, because it is the cause of producing pleasant ripening. The Dharma nature of non-virtuous karma is called unhappy karma, because it is the cause of producing painful ripening. Karma that is different from either virtuous or non-virtuous karma is the intermediate karma, because it is the karma that does not produce either pleasant or painful ripening. The second is divided into two types: brief instruction and detailed explanation. The first is: merit, non-merit, immobility, pleasant feeling retribution, etc. Karma, its Dharma nature is that you have three types, namely meritorious karma, non-meritorious karma, and immovable karma. It also has three types, namely pleasant feeling retribution, as well as painful feeling retribution and neither pleasant nor painful feeling retribution. The second is: merit is the virtuous karma of the desire realm, immobility is born from the upper realm. Because the land is those, karma matures, therefore it is immovable. It is said. That karma, its Dharma nature is that you have three types of meritorious karma, etc., namely the virtuous karma of the desire realm is meritorious karma, non-virtuous karma is non-meritorious karma, and karma born in the upper realm is immovable karma. The latter is established, because the karma included in the land of the upper realm all matures the fruit of ripening in the land of the upper realm, so the fruit of ripening will not move in other lands. Therefore, this is because the karma of the desire realm will move the fruit of ripening elsewhere, so it is not like that. The third is divided into three types of experiencing retribution, divided into five types, and explains the difference between the determination and non-determination of karma, there are three types. The first is divided into two types: one's own view and the views of others. The first is: virtuous karma up to the third dhyana is pleasant feeling retribution, above that, it is neither painful nor pleasant feeling retribution.

It is said, this is the non-virtue of experiencing suffering. Karma, in terms of its nature. The difference in the three types of experiences—happiness, suffering, and equanimity—that you mentioned earlier is that the virtuous karma from the desire realm up to the third dhyana is the karma of experiencing happiness, the karma from the third dhyana upwards to the peak of existence is the karma of experiencing neither suffering nor happiness, and the non-virtuous karma of this desire realm is the karma of experiencing suffering. The second is, 'There is an intermediate below,' some say, for what reason? 'From the maturation of the distinctions of dhyana, because of the desire for three maturations without prior or subsequent.' It is said, the fourth dhyana, in terms of its nature. Below you, even below the third, there is an intermediate between happiness and suffering, namely the karma of experiencing equanimity, some say. What is the reason? Because it is known from the fact that the actual distinction of the first dhyana has the fruit of maturation. Therefore, there, if there is no feeling of equanimity, there is no happiness or suffering, therefore maturation will be completely non-existent. Therefore, without prior or subsequent, in one continuum, there is the maturation of three feelings—happiness, suffering, and equanimity—because it is reasonable to want to think so. The teacher says, that is unreasonable, because there is no karma of experiencing suffering there. The second is, 'Nature and conjunction, object and maturation, and from transformation into the manifest, there are five aspects of experience.' It is said, karma of experience, in terms of its nature. You have five aspects, namely, feeling experienced by nature, touch experienced by conjunction, form experienced by object, happiness and suffering experienced by maturation, and karma experienced manifestly, such as feeling suffering. The second has two: brief explanation and detailed explanation. The first is, 'That is also definite and indefinite.' It is said, the three karmas of experience, in terms of their nature. Each also has two, namely, two karmas, definite and indefinite. The second has three: general classification, separate explanation of characteristics, and separate explanation of definite experience. The first has two: actual and the views of other schools. The first is, 'In the Dharma of seeing, etc., after experience, there are three definite aspects.'
