It is merely clinging to the self. Because it is merely the continuum of the aggregates, it connects the previous and subsequent lives. The reason is that in the previous life, driven by afflictions, one accumulated contaminated karma, from which arises the stream of consciousness of the intermediate state, which has the nature of aggregates, and from that arises the stream of consciousness of the birth state. For example, just as the continuum of a lamp continues from before to after, so too does the mere continuum of aggregates enter the womb, and so on. Secondly, it says: 'Like being thrown, the continuum gradually goes, having been born from karma and afflictions, to those other worlds, the wheel of existence has no beginning.' This wheel of existence, you have no beginning, because previously driven by ignorance, you accumulated contaminated karma that propels. It is again and again established in the later existence, just as it was previously thrown. Because ignorance and other karma preceded in the previous life, here the continuum of aggregates arises gradually, and having been born here, also by the power of karma and afflictions, one goes to other worlds in the future. Regarding the manner of entering the womb, it is clearly explained in the Sutra on Entering the Womb, which I have already written elsewhere, so I will not repeat it here. Secondly, there are two views: the Vaibhashika and the Sautrantika. The first view has three aspects: the way of completion, the way of collection, and the way of rotation. The first view has three aspects: a brief indication, a detailed explanation, and a summary of the meaning. The first is: 'That is the twelve branches of dependent origination, three parts, two and two at the beginning and end, and eight in the middle are completely possessed.' This refers to both the meaning of the words and the detailed examination. The first is: The three stages of the arising of the continuum of aggregates possess the twelve branches of dependent origination, that is, they possess the twelve branches from ignorance to old age and death. It possesses three parts: the beginning, the end, and the middle, that is, the first two branches are the former limit or the beginning, birth and old age are the latter limit or the end, and the eight branches from consciousness to existence are placed in the middle part or the end. Having eight in the middle is based on the case of being fully possessed, but it is not necessarily so, because birth

There are also three other possibilities. Because there is also death in the intermediate state. Second, regarding the analysis of extremes. Some say that the twelve links must necessarily be completed in three lifetimes. This is unreasonable, because they can also be completed in two lifetimes. The reason is that in the previous lifetime, due to the power of ignorance, karma was accumulated on consciousness. Because of craving and grasping, that karma was nourished, causing existence to become powerful, so that when one is born as a god or human in the next life, the other branches are also completed. Some say that the first two links of one cycle are completed in the first lifetime, aging and death are completed in the third lifetime, and the other eight links are completed in the second lifetime, which is the meaning of being completed in three lifetimes. This is unreasonable, because such a thing is impossible. The reason is that aging and death must occur in the lifetime in which birth is taken. However, the statement, "Two at the beginning and end, and eight complete in the middle," is not contradictory, because it is merely a general statement of how ignorance and action come first, aging and death come last, and the other eight appear in the middle, and not from the perspective of past, future, and intermediate lives. Some say that the meaning of "three parts" is merely to divide into three parts as previously explained. This is not correct, because it is in order to understand the twelve links in the three times of past, future, and present. The reason is that the first two links are the past, aging and death are the future, and the other eight links are for understanding the present. Some say that the dependent arising of ignorance is pervaded by ignorance. The aggregates of form that have become the dependent arising of ignorance are such. The reason is, because of that reason. The reason is that the sutra says so. If you accept, it is easy. Some say that if it is the consciousness that is a companion to ignorance, then it is pervaded by ignorance. Feelings and other phenomena that are in accordance with ignorance are such. The reason is, because of that reason. The sign is easy to clarify. The second is: Ignorance and affliction exist first, actions are previous karma, consciousness is the connection of aggregates, name and form are after that, the six sense sources grow, that is the union of three, awareness is the cause of pleasure and pain, etc., feeling is before attachment.
