One, it should be abandoned. Because it is to be abandoned by meditation, it is not pervasive. Some say: Here, whatever is taken as an object and can generate outflows, that is the meaning of 'with outflows.' Cessation and path, the two, should be with outflows. Because taking you as an object can generate outflows. That is so because the cessation that takes cessation as an object and the cessation that takes the path as an object inherently have what is to be abandoned by the path. That is so because it is said in the root text, 'The root of cessation and the path are to be abandoned by seeing.' If you admit that, then those two, taking you as an object, should increase outflows. Because they are with outflows. You cannot admit that, because the auto-commentary says, 'They do not increase with those two, so there is no fallacy that those two are inherently with outflows.' Our own system is that whatever increases outflows or afflictions through the means of either object or association is the meaning of 'with outflows.' Here it says, 'Why are those with outflows? Because all outflows increase in them.' Therefore, there are characteristics established through the means of object and association. Like the ten form aggregates are the former, and subtle increases are the latter. A dharma that does not increase outflows through the means of either object or association is the meaning of 'without outflows.' And there are characteristics, like the path truth and the three unconditioned phenomena. The second is: All conditioned phenomena other than the path, why are those with outflows? Because all outflows increase in them. The truth of the path without outflows, and also the three unconditioned phenomena, space and the two cessations. Among them, space is unobscured. Whatever cessation arises from individual examination is separation, is individual, is individual. What constantly obstructs arising, other cessations do not arise from individual examination. Thus it appears. This has two aspects: word meaning and marginal analysis. The first is: All conditioned phenomena other than the path truth should be with outflows, because for whatever reason, all outflows increase in them through any means of object and association. The truth of the path and the three unconditioned phenomena should also be without outflows, because as before, outflows do not increase. Space and the two cessations should be without outflows, because of the same reason. Among them, the space of the unconditioned should be of an unobscured nature.

Because it is established for those colored things that do not obstruct each other. The cessation in the continuum of an Arhat is the subject, called cessation by individual examination, because it is the truth of cessation obtained by the power of the uninterrupted path of individual examination of the four truths. The individual examination cessation that has abandoned the four, such as suffering to be abandoned by seeing, is the subject, it is a separate entity, because the entity of the dependent is separate. Other cessations that are not individual examination cessations are the subject, they are real, because they are cessations other than the cessation that hinders the future arising of their own objects to be abandoned. The reason is that it is not obtained by the power of the uninterrupted path, but is the cessation that has not arisen because its own objects to be abandoned are temporarily lacking in conditions. Second, the analysis of extreme views. Some say that the word "also" in "the three conditioned things are also" becomes meaningless, because there is nothing to include, which is not established, because it is to refute the space accepted by the Sthavira school and the Vaisheshika school, and to show that it is not only the undefiled path truth. Some say that if it is a cessation lacking conditions, then it is pervasive of a cessation that is not an individual examination, which is unreasonable, because like the cessation of impermanence and the cessation of meditative absorption and the cessation of the dhyana of rebirth in the heavens, it is not any of the two cessations. Second, explaining in detail from the aspect of the limbs. It is divided into two parts: identifying the places where one must be skilled, and showing the merits of being so skilled. The first part is divided into two parts: the places to be skilled in, and the way to determine them. The first part is divided into two parts: the classification of the realms, aggregates, and sources, and the detailed distinction of the sense organs that are the objects of the realms. The first part is divided into three parts: the general characteristics of conditioned phenomena, the classification of the three dharmas, and the detailed distinction of the aspects of the realms. The first part is divided into two parts: distinguishing from the aspect of characteristics, and distinguishing from the aspect of names. The first part is: conditioned phenomena, those dharmas, are also the five aggregates, such as form. It appears. Here it is divided into two parts: the meaning of the words and the analysis of extreme views. The first part is: the dharmas of conditioned phenomena, those are also the subject. If we include it from the classification here, then there are five, namely form, etc., that is, the aggregate of form, the aggregate of feeling, the aggregate of perception.
