One and a half thirds, that in between is the medium size. The large size of an uncut upper garment is twelve cubits in length and three cubits in width. The small size is five and a half or six or seven cubits in length and one and a half and one-third cubits in width. That in between can also be taken as a medium size. The large size of the lower garment is seven cubits in length and two cubits in width. The small size is just enough to cover the two knees from the back and the center of the navel. At the time of blessing, if it is a real patchwork robe, then focus your mind and pray, saying, "I, a monk named so-and-so, have made this Dharma garment that is proper and suitable for use. I bless it as a Dharma garment, a patchwork robe." Do this three times with good method. Similarly, for all twelve, from the upper garment, skirt, lower garment, and its lining to the large cloth, the ritual should be performed as before, except for changing the name "patchwork robe." If the three Dharma garments are made of real material and are proper, then bless them as described elsewhere. If it is just a substitute that cannot be used as material, then say, "I, named so-and-so, bless this garment as a patchwork robe." Similarly, apply this to the other two. The lower garment is worn under the skirt during the day, and the lining of the lower garment is worn under the skirt at night, the size being the same as the skirt. The dust cloth and its lining are worn under the upper garment during the day and night as before, the size being the same as the upper garment. The mat is three cubits long, two cubits wide, and six fingers. The rest is not discussed here, but should be done as described elsewhere. Furthermore, if there are extra Dharma garments, mats, etc., then bless them as extra utensils, or bless them as many extra utensils. Moreover, if there are many like patchwork robes, it is said that one can be blessed as a utensil for living, one as an extra utensil, and the others as necessary utensils. If there are things that must be done according to the Vinaya, but cannot be done due to local customs, then dedicate all the extra utensils to the Lama and the Three Jewels, and then trust in them and hold them. It is said that doing so will bring benefits and there will be no fault at all, or the fault will be small, so it should be done in that way. If not, but with attachment...

If one clings to "I," nothing other than faults will arise. Regarding the ways of holding clothing and other items, the benefits of acting according to the rules and the faults of not acting accordingly should be understood as they are explained elsewhere. There are four types of medicine: timely medicine, limited-time medicine, seven-day medicine, and lifetime medicine. The first is mainly for relieving hunger, and monks can only consume it in the morning. It is divided into five types of food and five types of condiments. The first is rice, tsampa, meat, flour, and fried noodles. The second is five types of roots, stems, flowers, fruits, and leaves. In addition, there are soup, yogurt, milk, and whey, etc. Roots refer to radishes, potatoes, and buckwheat, etc. Stems refer to sugar cane, sea buckthorn, and plants known as la phik, etc. Flowers refer to lotus and utpala flowers, etc. Fruits refer to grapes, peaches, plums, apples, etc. Leaves refer to potato and radish leaves, etc. The second type is limited-time medicine, mainly for relieving thirst, and monks can consume it in this Jambudvipa from dawn to sunset. For example, very thin drinks filtered with gauze, and very thin brown sugar water, etc. The third type is seven-day medicine, mainly for relieving accumulated diseases, and monks can consume it after blessing it within seven days. For example, ghee, oil, honey, and brown sugar, etc. The fourth type is lifetime medicine, which can relieve various diseases such as wind, bile, and phlegm, and monks can consume it after blessing it for the rest of their lives. For example, amla, three sour tastes, etc., and most of the medicines mentioned in the medical classics. However, even if they are medicines mentioned in those classics, it does not mean that monks can eat them all. Because the medicines mentioned in those classics are of various kinds, and there are many that cannot be eaten. For patients, even timely medicine is allowed to be consumed at non-times. For non-patients, it is also allowed in certain situations such as times of poverty. However, alcohol is not allowed even for patients. The methods of blessing these medicines should be learned from elsewhere. Here briefly
