Therefore, the fruit to be produced does not exist by its own nature. If, according to your view, the cause that is established by its own nature does not produce the fruit, then the cause does not exist in its own nature. The cause cannot be considered a cause in the same way as the fruit, and if it could, the cause would become without reason to be considered a cause, because it is also not existent. Phenomena, by their very nature, will not become a fault as you have said to me, a Madhyamika, and moreover, things that are known in the world are also existent and reasonable. Because both of these cause and effect are established without distinction, like an illusion. The third part has two points: debate and answer. The first point is: The opponent says, this analysis of whether the cause meets the fruit or not also applies to you. Does this refutation refute by meeting the one being refuted, or does it refute without meeting? Doesn't this fault also fall on you? Because it is like that. Therefore, you want to refute our vow of realism, but you cannot refute, because when the refuter speaks such words and only destroys his own sect. You who speak of no self-nature will not be accepted by the holy ones, because, for your own words, there will also be the dust of counterattack, like the appearance of refutation, without correct reason, and slander all things. Furthermore, you are also a perverse refuter, because, you have not correctly established your own sect, but only refute the sects of others. The second point is the answer, which is divided into four points: the way in which one's own refutation and establishment are reasonable, the reason why the faults of others are not the same, just as one can establish no self-nature, but conversely one cannot establish it, and the way to understand the remaining refutations not mentioned here. The first point is divided into two points: the way to refute the other party, and the way to establish one's own party. The first point is: Phenomena, by their very nature, that fault mentioned earlier, it is impossible for it to become a fault for the Madhyamika, because the refuter

Isn't refutation done when the object of refutation is not encountered? Or, if it has been encountered and claimed to be "is," then this fault will necessarily fall on the debater who claims that things are inherently established. Because we do not claim that things are inherently established. Because, according to us, both refutation and being refuted are not inherently established. Secondly, here, what is to be proven, what proves; what is to be produced, what produces; what is to be refuted, what refutes, etc., are all very reasonable. For example, when you see an image, you will see the differences in the sun's disc and face, and the sun's image being obscured by Rahu, etc. The sun, the face, and their images, whether they meet or not, are analyzed by searching for the meaning of the name, and it is unreasonable to produce them. However, depending on the sun and the face, an image arises merely by nominal designation. Although the image is not real, it has the function of proving its own face beautiful. Similarly, it is the same here. In order to purify the defilement of wisdom, which is like a face—ignorance—the reasoning of dependent origination, etc., which can see the function, is the correct way to realize that what is to be proven is without inherent existence, and it should be understood that this is more reasonable than claiming inherent existence. Secondly, Realists, your accusations against us are entirely your own discouragement. If the essence of the object of proof that makes one's own object of proof understood, is inherently established, and directly becomes the object of knowledge, and the essence of the object of proof is inherently existent, then, whether the object of proof and the means of proof meet or not, applying the reasoning of refutation and establishment, inherent establishment is also non-existent. Thirdly, all things of the Madhyamikas are things, that is, inherent nature.
