And, it is a summary of meaning. Firstly, if things are not born by their own nature, then why do worldly people not see that very unbornness, but see them as being born by their own nature? It follows that worldly children do not see the nature of blue, etc., as it is. Because worldly people have thick ignorance, like a mass of dark rain clouds, that obscures their minds, therefore, to them, blue and other objects appear as perverse things established by their own essence. Well, even if one does not see the nature, how does one see it perversely? It follows that there are indeed examples of seeing things perversely in this way. Just as some with impaired senses, due to the power of blurred vision, wrongly perceive hairs, two moons, peacock feathers, bees, and so on, as being of the nature of existence even though they do not exist, so too, due to the fault of ignorance, the unlearned ordinary person imagines various compounded phenomena such as blue, etc., even though they do not exist by their own nature; that is, they are seen by the intellect. If, in the Sutra on Dependent Arising, it is said that actions arise from ignorance, and without ignorance, actions do not arise, it seems that the meaning is explained in terms of ignorance and actions being established by their own nature. This is undoubtedly understood only by the unlearned, that is, they are swayed by it. When the learned see it said that actions are caused by ignorance, they understand the emptiness of actions, which are empty by their own nature, and through the sun of good intelligence that realizes the suchness of dependent arising, they dispel the thick darkness of ignorance and are liberated from samsara. Someone says: Those things are indeed existent by their own nature. If things do not exist in ultimate truth, then in conventional truth as well, those things would be non-existent, like the son of a barren woman. Therefore, we should not argue and investigate here. Those hairs, etc., which become objects of the mind for those with blurred vision, etc., since they are unborn, why?

Now, you who have cataracts, see non-existent hairs but do not see the son of a barren woman. For those with cataracts, let us argue for a moment that your eyesight is impaired by the influence of the cataracts of ignorance. Since both hairs and the son of a barren woman are unborn in nature, why do you see forms and so on, but not the son of a barren woman? This should be refuted and examined. Don't just look at those with cataracts; you, the opponent, should also be examined. If you see dream houses and cities of gandharvas, as well as water in mirages, people conjured by magicians, images, and echoes, which appear to exist but do not, how can you see them but not the son of a barren woman, since they are like the son of a barren woman and do not actually exist? This is unreasonable and should be refuted and examined. Later, I should also be examined in this way. If forms and so on do not exist in ultimate truth, then in conventional truth, they should also not be seen like the son of a barren woman. To say this, the reason is uncertain and erroneous. Although the objects of form and so on do not actually arise in reality, because they exist in conventional truth, they are not like the son of a barren woman and do not become objects of worldly sight. Therefore, the Sutra says, "Beings are said to be like dreams, there is no distinction in them, there is no reality in dreams, those with wrong thoughts are attached." And up to, "Like a very pure kāñcana (藏文:གསེར།,梵文天城体:kāñcana,梵文罗马拟音:kanchana,汉语字面意思:golden) mirror, in which there is no image of self-nature, so know all dharmas, like trees." This explains that although dharmas do not exist in nature, they exist in conventional truth. Secondly, all objects of form and so on are, in their own essence, unborn in both worldly convention and ultimate truth, because they are not established by their own essence. For example, the son of a barren woman does not have his own nature in ultimate truth, nor does he exist in worldly convention. All things are not always inherently existent, for the reason stated above.
