Because in conventional terms, self-origination is illogical, that is why. The second point is: If the self-origination of forms etc. does not exist in either of the two truths, then will forms etc. become non-existent? The answer to that is: That fault does not apply. Because, even though all phenomena such as forms are empty of inherent existence, their results will certainly arise from causes that are empty of inherent existence. It happens in that way. For example, empty things, that is, false images and so on, arise in dependence on a collection of causes and conditions such as mirrors, which is not unknown in the world. And as it is known, from empty things such as images, visual consciousness and so on arise with the appearance of those images and so on. Because it is like that example. Therefore, it is also said in the sutra: From a perfectly clear mirror, just as an image appears without inherent existence, so should trees and other phenomena be understood. Because it is said that way. Although worldly old people certainly do not establish that an image appears as a face in a clear mirror, they do not realize that even though the image appears to be true, it is not established as true. Because in their minds, there is a way of clinging to the object of fixation of the concept that the image is established by its own nature, without having refuted it. Therefore, merely realizing that the image of a face is not truly existent as a face is not the realization of emptiness. Because the commentary says: The mere falsity of the image being empty of a face is something that all worldly old people who do not turn their minds to any scripture or reasoning that demonstrates emptiness can establish. Therefore, it is unreasonable to consider such a realization to be a crude form of understanding. Because it is said that way. Here, there is a way of using an image as an example, that is, the image that appears as a face does not say, "This part appears as a face, and this part does not appear as a face." Because the two parts are not distinct, so from all the parts that appear as a face, even though the face is empty, it is not contradictory to arise in dependence on its own causes and produce a result. Similarly, in the consciousness of ordinary beings, blue and so on with their own characteristics
