The sprout dharma that is considered to exist is not born from itself, because birth is meaningful and has an end. This argument is an implied argument, and it elaborates on the faults of one's own system mentioned earlier. However, the former and latter are not considered to be a brief statement and a detailed explanation, and it is not considered that the brief statement still has its own meaning. Secondly, the way of refuting is, as stated in the Clear Words: Some people think that this is unreasonable, because no reason and example are stated, and the faults stated by others are not eliminated. Because it is a word of fault, it is established by reversing the meaning of the present, and by manifesting the meaning of reversing its dharma, things will be born from others, and birth will become with fruit, and birth will become with an end. Therefore, it will contradict the established tenet, thus speaking of faults. There are three meanings to this statement: the way of refuting by not pointing out the reason and example that can prevent self-birth, the way of refuting by not eliminating the faults stated by the Samkhya school, and the way of refuting by contradicting the tenet of the Madhyamaka school. The first is, Lektan says: Your explanation is unreasonable, because it does not point out the reason and correct example that can prevent self-birth. The fault and argument are as before, and the argument is also as it is already determined, then, the dharma of things that have birth is not born from itself, because birth is meaningless and endless, or, if it is born from itself, then birth must become meaningless. Whichever of these two arguments is adopted will not exceed. If according to the first, then it is unreasonable, because this reason will become a reason that is not established for the Madhyamaka school, because the Madhyamaka school admits that birth is meaningful and has an end. If according to the latter, then it is also unreasonable, because for the Samkhya school, this has been established for a long time, so it will become a reason that is not established, because if they determine that it is born from itself, then birth will definitely become meaningless and endless, then it must also be determined that there is no self-birth. The second is, the Samkhya school says: You say it is not born from itself,

The meaning of what is said. Is it desired to understand it from the cause-shoot that is already manifest from the time of the fruit? Or is it desired to understand it from the sprout that is not manifest at the time of the cause? If according to the first, that is unreasonable, because for us Samkhyas, it becomes the establishment of what is already established. If according to the second, that is also unreasonable, because the sprouts that exist in an unmanifest way are born from the self. No matter what reason is established, it will lead to contradictory pervasion. Third, there is the fault of contradicting the tenets of the Madhyamaka school, because in the post-attainment inference of realizing the non-existence of self-origination, it is necessary to definitely establish the subject, reason, and example. And it has already been said that it is not permissible to establish it according to your established "already accomplished things." Moreover, the power of the words "because of transformation" makes sentient beings the subject of the argument. They are not born from themselves, because if they were born from themselves, birth would become meaningless and endless, but in reality it is meaningful and has an end, so it is necessary to establish the opposite meaning as the reason in this way. If this is established, then it is necessary to infer a birth that is different from the mere negation (non-cessation) of the object to be proven, which is the cessation of self-origination. If this is the case, then there is the fault of contradicting the Madhyamaka tenets, which admit that the object of attachment to the commitment to the non-existence of self-origination is a non-cessation. The reason for this contradiction is that if the previous opposite meaning is established as the reason, it will lead to the inference of other-origination, because by admitting other-origination and negating self-origination, it will naturally lead to the inference of other-origination. This is also because you have clearly admitted that the origination of things is divided into two types: self-origination and other-origination. One origination is what is to be proven. Because self-origination is negated, it will lead to the inference of other-origination. Moreover, it seems that you yourself must admit the inference of other-origination, this is just a presumption, not an emphasis that other-origination has already been inferred, because this is the time to analyze the doubts of the intelligent. This is because Lekden himself has already admitted other-origination, and thinks that Buddhapalita also admitted other-origination, because he did not understand the way in which Buddhapalita did not admit other-origination. Third, explaining the intention of the commentary by the glorious Chandrakirti in a way that avoids that fault is divided into two parts: showing that the fault does not apply to Buddhapalita, and Lekden
