If one can well enter and believe in the profound meaning, then even the powerful negative karmas such as the five heinous crimes will be purified. What need is there to mention others, having such benefits and so on, as explained by the noble Nagarjuna and Je himself. The fifth has three parts: the way of showing the profound meaning by scripture, establishing the meaning of the scripture by reason, and explaining the divisions of emptiness. The first has two parts: quoting the scripture and explaining its meaning. The first is: In the Ten Bhumi Sutra, it says: When the fifth bhumi bodhisattva enters the sixth bhumi, they enter with ten dharmata samenesses. What are the ten? They are as follows: All dharmas are signless sameness, all dharmas are natureless sameness, likewise, unborn, unarisen, secluded, primordially pure, without elaboration, without acceptance and without rejection sameness, all dharmas are like illusion, like dream, like mirage, like gandharva city, like moon in water, like reflection, like emanation sameness, all dharmas are neither existent nor nonexistent sameness. And so on. The second is: That scripture shows the way of seeing objects from the sixth bhumi onwards. The seven phrases, all dharmas are like illusion and so on, show the way of seeing objects in post-meditation. The rest show the way of seeing objects in the state of meditative equipoise. Because, the first two lines briefly show, and the rest explain in detail. Because, all dharmas are signless, that means, when the sixth bhumi bodhisattva has just attained meditative equipoise, in that state, there are no different signs such as blue and yellow, it is sameness. All dharmas are natureless sameness, that means, all dharmas are not established by their own nature, it is sameness. Explaining it in detail is: Future objects are naturally unborn, it is sameness. Past and present objects are naturally unarisen, it is sameness. Objects of the three times are naturally empty, it is sameness. Moreover, it is not temporarily fabricated, but primordially completely pure, it is sameness. Signs such as blue and yellow and elaborations of speech and concepts are naturally nonexistent, it is sameness. The way of seeing objects in meditative equipoise

In order to show that acceptance and rejection are not established by their own characteristics as equality, and that things and non-things are not established by their own characteristics as equality. The way of observing the realm of subsequent attainment is shown by "illusion" and so on. For example, when a magician transforms a wooden block into a horse and cow, the wooden block appears as a horse and cow, but in reality it is not established as a horse and cow. Similarly, form and so on appear to be established by their own nature, but in reality they are not established, but are shown as the equality of emptiness of truth. Here, among the ten, the equality of non-origination is mainly explained. As the self-explanation says: "Therefore, here, only the equality of the non-origination of dharmas is shown by reason, intending to easily show the equality of other dharmas." Just as the teacher said at the beginning of the Madhyamaka treatise: "Not from oneself, not from others..." until "It is a near saying." Second, establishing by reason is divided into two: establishing the selflessness of phenomena by reason and establishing the selflessness of persons by reason. The first is divided into four: refuting the four extremes of origination, eliminating disputes over refutation, preventing clinging to extremes by the origination of dependent arising, and determining the result of analysis by reason. The first is divided into three: establishing the proposition, showing the proof, and explaining the meaning of establishment. The first is divided into two: generally indicating the recognition of what is to be refuted and explaining the meaning of the present. The first is: In order to generate a pure view of realizing emptiness in one's own mind, it is necessary to first have a general meaning of what is to be refuted, the truly established, appear in the mind. Because if this does not appear first, the non-affirming negation that merely refutes true establishment cannot appear in the mind. As it says in the Bodhicaryāvatāra: "Without touching the imputed, one does not grasp its non-existence." So, what is the extent of what is to be refuted? There is, because there are two kinds of what is to be refuted: the extent of what is to be refuted by the Prasangikas and the extent of what is to be refuted by the Svatantrikas. The first exists, because that which is established by its own nature, not merely established by the power of names, terms, and conventions on the dharmas of form and so on, is the ultimate object of refutation of the correct reasoning of the observer of ultimate truth. What is merely refuted on the person like that which is to be refuted?
