and cannot be shown. Similarly, regarding the ultimate truth that is like the sky, the way of traversing with a bird-like ultimate bodhicitta, that non-elaborate state, just as the bodhisattva himself realizes it, he cannot show it to the listener without elaboration. So, it goes without saying that the listener cannot realize it in that way. As stated in the Sutra of Ten Grounds: 'Just as the traces of birds in the sky, the wise cannot speak of them nor see them. Likewise, all the grounds of the sons of the Victorious One, if they cannot be spoken of, how can they be heard?' Therefore, the number of qualities, power, the way of increasing perfections, and the way of holding the ripening result, these four are briefly as follows: As will be explained below, the first ground has twelve hundred thousand qualities, the second has twelve thousand qualities, and so on, increasing from higher to higher. And the power to purify the defilements of each ground, and the practice of generosity on the first ground and the perfection of discipline on the second ground are more advanced, and so on. And on the first ground, holding the Jambudvipa, and on the second ground, holding the result of being a king who has power over the four continents, and so on, these four are established in order. Secondly, there is a reason why this first ground is possessed by the aspiration of Samantabhadra, as stated in the Sutra of Ten Grounds: 'The one on the first ground makes countless hundreds of thousands of aspirations,' in order to gather all these aspirations into the aspiration of Samantabhadra. There is also the aspiration of Samantabhadra, namely the 'Samantabhadra's Aspiration for Excellent Conduct,' in which the aspirations such as 'In all Buddha-fields throughout the ten directions and three times...' and the two verses such as 'How Manjushri, the hero of wisdom, knows...' are the supreme aspiration and dedication. So, what is the boundary of moving to this ground? There is one. The last moment of the path of joining the Great Vehicle, with the uninterrupted path that can serve as the real antidote to the imputation of obscurations, when it is attained, it is then established as moving to that ground. Thirdly, some say that the ten samadhi wisdoms of the ten grounds are uncontaminated wisdoms. Then, the samadhi wisdom of the first ground is also an uncontaminated wisdom, because the proposition is reasonable. If you admit that it is so, then it must be an uncontaminated wisdom, because you have admitted it. If you admit it, then the first ground

The meditative wisdom that abides equally in the emptiness of all phenomena in the manner of a general meaning, is a dharma. Because, therefore. Because, therefore. Because it is the meditative wisdom in the continuum of the first bhumi being. Because, therefore. Because of that dharma. Because, therefore. Because it exists. Because, therefore. Because there exists the wisdom of the first bhumi that realizes emptiness in the manner of a general meaning. It cannot be admitted, because it is conceptual thought. Some say, if it is the first bhumi, then it is pervaded by the path of seeing. Then, the path of cultivation that has become the nature of the first bhumi, is a dharma. Because, therefore. Because, therefore. Because it exists. Because, therefore. Gyaltsap Rinpoche said: The first bhumi needs to be completed over a long period of time, such as kalpas, so it should be known that there are also cases included in the path of cultivation. Some say that when one has just attained the first bhumi, there will be giving, planting aspirations, plowing fields, and newly taking the ripening of karma. That is unreasonable, because if one is a person who has just attained the first bhumi, one must be a person who directly realizes emptiness. Because there is no sentient being who, while abiding in the samadhi of directly realizing emptiness, can engage in such mundane activities. Some say that the continuum of a person who has just attained the first bhumi has the first bodhicitta. Then, his continuum has bodhicitta. Because the commitment is reasonable. If admitted, then his continuum has the Mahayana mind of enlightenment. Because of admitting. If admitted, then his continuum has a wisdom that is not uncontaminated wisdom. Because of admitting. If admitted, then it is unreasonable. Because the wisdom in his continuum must be the path of no obstruction. Some say that when one has just attained the first bhumi, one sees that one can attain omniscience for the benefit of sentient beings, and a special joy arises in the mind. Therefore, it is called "Extremely Joyful." As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras: Being close to enlightenment, and seeing the accomplishment of the benefit of sentient beings, a great joy will arise, therefore it is called "Extremely Joyful." If you say so, it is not pervasive, because it is something that happens in the post-meditation state. If it is not so, then it would follow that that samadhi has a mind that takes mundane objects as its object.
