Just as one revolves involuntarily, enters a deep well, climbing upwards is difficult and descending is easy, revolves without interruption, is pressed down by the weight of water and struck by walls and the like, so too are these sentient beings of samsara. They are tightly bound by the ropes of karma and affliction, revolving involuntarily, entering the well of samsara, the cause for being born in a good destination is difficult and the cause for being born in a bad destination is easy to accumulate, controlled by the three poisons, revolving without interruption with the order of before and after not at all certain, and oppressed and tormented by the three sufferings. Therefore, they also change in this way: by which agent, in which place, in what manner, by which cause are they gathered into the four cycles of existence? That is also because, by which agent are they made to enter the cycle? It is by this very untamed and unpacified mind. In which place? From the peak of existence to the Avici hell. In what manner? Like there is no time when one does not revolve. By which cause and condition does one revolve? Because of being controlled by karma and affliction, one gathers into the four cycles of existence in an uncertain order. The third is: Some say that if it is compassion focused on sentient beings, then it is pervasive that it is compassion focused on sentient beings, which is divided into three. The compassion in the continuum of the Buddhas and noble ones is the compassion that focuses on all phenomena. Because of that reason. Because of that reason. Because it is compassion that focuses on all phenomena. Because of that reason. Any compassion that focuses on all phenomena and realizes the wisdom of no self-nature. The latter is because it is omniscient. If you accept, then it is unreasonable. Because it is compassion that focuses on phenomena and compassion that is without focus. Because of that reason. Because of that dharma. Some say that for compassion that focuses on impermanent and selfless sentient beings that have become its object, it is pervasive that it is compassion that focuses by distinguishing sentient beings as impermanent and selfless. Compassion that focuses only on sentient beings. Because of that reason. Because of that reason. Because it is compassion that focuses on sentient beings that have become its object. It is pervasive, because the sentient being that has become its object is an impermanent and selfless sentient being.

Because it is sentient. Some say that if it is compassion that only focuses on sentient beings, then it must be the compassion in the continuum of a person who has never determined that sentient beings are impermanent and selfless. This is unreasonable, because the noble Bodhisattvas have such compassion in their continuum. Because their continuum has innate clinging to reality and permanence. When a person who has determined impermanence through valid cognition establishes any impermanent dharma, it is not necessarily distinguished by impermanence. Because a person with innate clinging to permanence, when alternately establishing any object of focus, is also not necessarily distinguished by permanence. Some say that in the continuum of a Bodhisattva residing in a pure land, there is compassion that only focuses on sentient beings. This is not established, because if it is the compassion in their continuum, it must be objectless compassion. Because if that is the case, it must be compassion in which sentient beings, who have become its object, appear as unreal. Because from the eighth ground onwards, clinging to reality has been abandoned. Second, there are three parts: word meaning, general meaning, and marginal analysis. First, the object of knowledge, Chandrakirti, pays homage to both dharma and objectless compassion, in order. For example, like the moon in the water that is moved by the wind and sways, like water, it perishes with each moment. Focusing on the moving, that is, sentient beings that perish in an instant, the compassion that focuses on the dharma of wanting to be free from suffering, and also like the moon in the water, although appearing as real, seeing the emptiness of being established by its own nature, focusing on sentient beings and wanting to be free from suffering, the objectless compassion, to these two I also pay homage. Second, there is a reason why the first compassion is called dharma-focused compassion, because the person with compassion, previously relying on the recognition of the momentary arising and ceasing of sentient beings, thereby prevents the sentient being from being permanent, singular, and independent in consciousness. Relying on this, it can also prevent the sentient being from being a different entity that is different in nature from its own aggregates. Relying on this, sentient beings only rely on the dharma of their own aggregates.
