It is like becoming that way. The meaning of dependent arising is the meaning of emptiness of inherent existence. Because of clinging to the reason for dependent arising, it is regarded as inherently established. In general, realists refer to all those who believe that things are truly established. In particular, in this context, those who cling to inherent existence based on the reason that effects arise from causes, such as Vaibhashikas, Sautrantikas, and Cittamatrins, are all realists of their own schools. The Svatantrikas can also be included in that category. Therefore, "merely by name" also refers mainly to one's own school that clings to inherent existence based on the reason for dependent arising. The entrance is the path or basis for entering. By saying "by what means should one lead?" it shows that the method or sign of realizing emptiness, which is the absence of inherent existence other than the reason for dependent arising, is the same as or no more excellent than that, which is praise. Third, since you, the realist, admit inherent existence, then for inherent existence, being newly transformed by conditions does not exist, and it needs to be independent of other conditions. But dependent arising is established in dependence on others and is regarded as artificial. Therefore, how can the two be gathered together on the same basis without contradiction? That is to say, it is not possible to establish them on the same basis without contradiction. This comes from the Mulamadhyamakakarika's "inherent nature is not artificial," etc., and the meaning of "inherent nature changing into another nature will never be reasonable." Although unconditioned dharmas are not artificial creations produced by causes and conditions, they are transformed or established by the power of one's own clinging, as stated in the sutra: "These are established by the power of discrimination," etc., and in the commentary on the Four Hundred Verses, it is also said: "It exists only because there is discrimination," etc. Fourth, because the above reasons are such, therefore, for example, although illusory horses and elephants are not real horses and elephants, they appear as horses and elephants. Similarly, any dharma that arises in dependence on causes, conditions, parts, and discrimination, although it is inherently devoid of establishment from the beginning, appears as inherently established, therefore

You, who teach all these phenomena of dependent arising, declare all things to be false, like illusions. Here, "from the beginning" means the very first, and "empty" means non-existent, that is, the meaning of being empty by nature. The meaning of "appearing there" is also that, for the conceptual thoughts in the minds of ordinary beings, all phenomena of dependent arising, although empty of inherent existence, appear to be established. However, this is not how they appear to Buddhas and noble ones. However, that which appears to others as truly established, appears to the Buddhas, because if it did not appear to the Buddhas, it would become non-existent. Whatever appears to the conceptual and non-conceptual consciousnesses of ordinary beings appears to be established from its own side. Therefore, although in this context all the consciousnesses of ordinary beings are admitted to be mistaken consciousnesses, it must be accepted that there exists a consciousness that is valid ( प्रमाण,pramāṇa, ಪ್ರಮಾಣ) with respect to the nominal nature of the five objects such as forms and sounds. The third part has three aspects: how certainty arises from showing the nature of reality; how certainty arises from reversing the root of faults; and how certainty arises from realizing the meaning. The first has two aspects: the absence of objections due to showing the nature of things; and how to give certainty to others by relying on the path of dependent arising. The first is: the way in which you, the teacher, have taught many other scriptures, even opponents cannot find fault in accordance with the Dharma, because it is inferred that all those scriptures are well-suited to the state of reason, that is, they are considered, by believing in this very path of dependent arising that you have spoken of. What is the reason for this? It is because by explaining this dependent arising, the seen, that is, the manifest that has become the object of the direct perception of ordinary beings, and the unseen, that is, the hidden objects, are shown in sequence, far removed from the opportunity to impute existence by nature and to deny existence nominally. "Not finding fault in accordance with the Dharma" means that although there may be what appears to be an objection, it is an objection that is in accordance with reason. "Seen manifest" refers to the direct objects of the valid eye consciousness of ordinary beings, such as pillars and vases. "Unseen hidden" is divided into slightly hidden and very hidden. The first is like sound being impermanent, and like other worlds. The second is like giving leads to
