That (mental factor) nature, you are called the many-ground of mind, because it pervades all minds. That is the general characteristic, but if it is said to be mind, then its surroundings do not necessarily have samadhi, because it is difficult for all distracted minds to have samadhi, and if it exists, there will be the fault of samadhi being too universal. Secondly, there are ten, as the Abhidharmakosha says: Faith and non-carelessness, extremely subdued, equanimity, knowing shame and having embarrassment, the two roots of non-harm, diligence constantly arises in goodness. As it is said, it exists. These ten natures are called the many-ground of goodness, because they arise around all good minds. That is also the same as before, the two roots are non-attachment and non-hatred. Thirdly, there are six, as the Abhidharmakosha says: Ignorance and non-carelessness, laziness and, deceit and pride, and harm, constantly arise in the afflicted. As it is said, it exists. These six natures are called the many-ground of affliction, because they arise around the minds of all afflicted ones. Fourthly, there are two, in the unwholesome there is shamelessness and, no embarrassment. As it is said. These two natures are called the many-ground of unwholesomeness, because they arise around all unwholesome minds. Fifthly, there are ten, anger and, resentment and deceit, and, jealousy and harm, stinginess and, deceit and pride, and harm, etc., are the grounds of minor afflictions. As it is said, it exists. These ten natures are called the ground of minor afflictions, because the corresponding companions are small, the types to be abandoned are small, and the arising object is small. Secondly, there are eight uncertain ones, investigation and analysis, and regret, sleep and anger, attachment and, arrogance and doubt, named, eight are uncertain. As it is said, it exists. These eight natures are called uncertain, because they arise uncertainly in the above categories. Because, investigation and analysis and regret arise in both Dharma and non-Dharma. During sleep, both good and bad minds have it. Both doing good and bad, anger arises depending on the two. Those two

Attachment and clinging to one's own possessions will arise. Pride will also arise due to the qualities of lineage, appearance, enjoyment, and learning. It is like having doubts about both Dharma and non-Dharma. These are not necessarily fixed in one category, but due to the influence of motivation, etc., they may belong to other categories. Reflection, regret, and doubt are not entirely fixed in the three categories of virtuous, non-virtuous, and neutral; sometimes they may become virtuous, sometimes non-virtuous, and sometimes they may become neutral, so they are uncertain. I have already explained these detailed classifications in my commentary on the Treasury of Knowledge and in the classifications of the Five Aggregates, etc., so I will not elaborate here. Secondly, regarding the classification of reasoning, it has already been explained elsewhere, and here I will only briefly explain it. That is, in the Commentary on Valid Cognition, it says: 'That which pervades the property of that subject, is called the reason.' The word 'reason' briefly explains that there are three aspects to this: the definition of the reason, the classification, and the explanation of related content. The first is: the establishment as a reason, the definition of the reason, the establishment as a reason for proving it, the definition of the reason for proving it, whether it exists or not, it is pervaded by the reason that proves it, because if it is it, it pervades the establishment as a reason for proving it, for example: rabbit horns, as the subject, are impermanent, because they are rabbit horns, this is the establishment as a reason. The establishment as a reason for proving that sound is impermanent, the definition of the reason for proving that sound is impermanent. Similarly, explain the way to state it to others. The establishment as a reason for proving that sound is impermanent by the reason of being made, the definition of the reason for proving that sound is impermanent by the reason of being made, even if it is it, it pervades being the same as being made. Secondly, there are two: the explanation of the correct reason and the explanation of the pseudo-reason. The first has three: its basis, definition, and classification. The first has two: the basis of the subject-property and the basis of pervasion. The first has three: the definition and example of the knowable subject, without fault. The first is for example: you, by the reason of being made, proving that sound is impermanent, established as the subject, you are also determined by valid cognition as being made, and the understanding of impermanence has already begun
