because it is contradictory. It is also unreasonable to meditate on the self-existence in the three aggregates that are neither (existent nor non-existent), because this is also harmed by reason. Therefore, the three—what is meditated upon, who meditates, and how to meditate—should not be the object of self-existence. Secondly, even if the objects of the environment and beings are not truly established, if one assumes that the emptiness of those things, which is empty of truth, is truly established, and meditates with this in mind, then that is not meditating on suchness, because it is not meditation. This is because it is a view that fosters attachment to emptiness as true, which is not permissible. If one meditates by holding the cause, etc., of what is to be meditated upon as self-existent, then that is not meditating on suchness, because cause and effect, and what is produced and what produces, are non-existent by nature. Thus, there is not even a little bit of self-existent thing that has become the object of desire for the fruit, because the three spheres of what, by what, and how to desire are not truly established. The first of these three (emptiness) shows the door to liberation—emptiness; the second (signlessness) shows signlessness; and the third (wishlessness) shows wishlessness. Therefore, there is no object for meditating on a dharma other than what is merely imputed by mind or thought, because everything is merely imputed by mind. Such a view of emptiness is the common general meaning of both Sutra and Tantra, and of the four classes of Tantra. Thirdly, if one thinks that it is enough to meditate only on the great bliss wisdom that arises from relying on the method of drawing the mind into the central channel, relying on the inner and outer life force, causing all karmic winds to enter Sanskrit Romanization: dhūta; Chinese literal meaning: cleansing), and going through the three stages of entering, abiding, and dissolving, and combining the two emptinesses explained in the context of the general meaning of letters, then it is not enough. That is because when the life force of the method of drawing the mind into the central channel dissolves into དྷཱུ་ཏཱི, the aggregates are non-existent, that is, the mind dissolves into clear light, and merely meditating on the union of bliss and emptiness of the mind that dissolves into clear light is not meditating on the illusory body. If one thinks that it is enough to merely add the illusory body of the third stage to be meditated upon on top of the mind entering the central channel, then it is also not enough to merely meditate on what is added, because that illusory body must be purified into the clear light of meaning. Therefore, the previous mind entering the central channel and the reality of the illusory body

It is non-existent to meditate on each of the two, the existent and the non-existent, separately. Because for the existent, there is no object of meditation on the substance of the indivisible union body, because the union body does not exist in that alone. Secondly, it is non-existent to meditate only on the wisdom that merges the illusory body, the non-existent, into the meaning of clear light, because there is no pure illusory body in that. As previously explained, what is to be meditated upon is not just meditating on an impure illusory body, because there is no vajra body of similar lineage that is continuous. Therefore, it is not appropriate to meditate on the existent illusory body and the non-existent ultimate clear light each separately, so it is necessary to meditate on the union of the two. When union is attained, the three wheels of the meditator, the object of meditation, and how to meditate, which grasp as true, along with the seeds of grasping at truth, will not exist, because these are abandoned from the root. Thus, said the great Vajradhara, inseparable from the body, speech, and mind of the Bhagavan. Secondly, from the Bhagavan to what was said by Vairochana. From the Bhagavan Tathagata Vairochana himself, entering into the samadhi called "Vajra of Manifest Enlightenment of All Tathagatas," which is the understanding of clear light and the realization of non-duality, having entered into such a samadhi, this bodhicitta was spoken. All objects of the external world are devoid of inherent existence, and moreover, the apprehended form aggregate, which is included in the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, and the form-possessing elements and sense bases such as the eye, and all that is included in the apprehending consciousness, are naturally established, and are the realm of emptiness that has completely abandoned these. Such selflessness of phenomena is naturally clear light from the beginning, and is the wisdom of the object of realizing this. Being equal to that clear light, that is, non-dual, is the union body. That body is also the nature of one's own mind, which is primordially unborn by nature, all is empty, it is the very nature of the clear light of meaning, and is inseparable in essence from it. Thus, the Bhagavan
