If it exists, it is either one with the aggregates or different from the aggregates; it must be one of the two, this is a necessary pervasion. The term "analysis of the four key points" is used. The path of accumulation, the path of preparation, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the path of no more learning. If divided according to Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and the Great Vehicle, they become five, three, and fifteen. The path of preparation has four: warmth, peak, forbearance, and supreme dharma. The path of seeing and the path of meditation each have two: meditative equipoise and subsequent awareness. Meditative equipoise also has two: the path of no interruption and the path of liberation. The first is Joyful, the second is Stainless, the third is Illuminating, the fourth is Blazing, the fifth is Very Difficult to Conquer, the sixth is Manifest, the seventh is Gone Afar, the eighth is Immovable, the ninth is Good Intelligence, the tenth is Cloud of Dharma, the eleventh is Universal Light, which is the place of Buddhahood; the former ten are considered the ten grounds. Generosity, ethics, patience, diligence, concentration, and wisdom are called the six perfections. Skillful means, power, aspiration, and knowledge are the ten perfections. Material giving, dharma giving, and fearlessness giving are the three kinds of giving. It is also said that there are four kinds, including loving-kindness. Restraining from misdeeds, gathering virtuous dharmas, and benefiting sentient beings are the three kinds of ethics. Accepting suffering, not minding harm, and gaining certainty about the dharma are considered the three kinds of patience. Armor-like diligence, gathering virtuous dharmas diligence, and benefiting sentient beings diligence are the three kinds of diligence. Concentration that focuses on the conventional and ultimate is of two kinds. Similarly, wisdom should also be divided. Whatever is conditioned is the conventional truth. For the unconditioned, there are two: conventional truth and ultimate truth. All imputed phenomena are the conventional truth. The perfectly established nature is the ultimate truth; emptiness is considered the same meaning. Inner emptiness, outer emptiness, inner-outer emptiness. Great emptiness, ultimate emptiness, conditioned emptiness, unconditioned emptiness. Ultimate emptiness, beginningless emptiness, undispersed emptiness. Undiscarded emptiness, self-nature of all dharmas. Own characteristics are unobservable, no entity. Self-nature and no entity. The self-nature, the end of each is emptiness. Combined, these are the eighteen emptinesses. Except for the last two, there are only sixteen. Inner dharmas are truly empty, that is, inner emptiness. Outer dharmas are truly empty, that is, outer emptiness. Similarly, the remaining ones should also be understood. The four mindfulnesses are of body, feeling, mind, and phenomena. Abandoning what is unwholesome that has not arisen, causing what is unwholesome that has arisen to cease, causing what is wholesome that has not arisen to arise, and causing what is wholesome that has arisen to increase, is right abandonment.

To abandon non-virtues that have already arisen and to practice virtues; to generate virtues that have not yet arisen and to increase virtues that have already arisen: these are thoroughly explained as the four right abandonments. Desire, diligence, mindfulness, and investigation: these are the four legs of miraculous power. Faith, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom: these are the five faculties, and also the five powers. Mindfulness, discrimination of dharmas, diligence, joy, perfect pliancy, concentration, and equanimity: these are considered the seven branches of enlightenment. Right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration: these are the eight branches of the noble path. These are known as the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment. Mirror-like wisdom, wisdom of equality, discriminating wisdom, accomplishing wisdom, and wisdom of the sphere of reality: these are the five wisdoms. Divine eye, knowledge of past lives, and knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements: these are considered the three knowledges. Emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness: these are the three doors of liberation. One with form contemplating form, one without form contemplating form, liberation through overcoming, and the aspects of cessation of suffering and its cessation. Including the liberations of the four formless realms, there are eight liberations. The four concentrations, the four formless absorptions, and including the absorption of cessation, there are nine successive abidings. Flesh eye, divine eye, wisdom eye, dharma eye, and buddha eye: these are the five eyes. The superknowledge of the divine eye, the divine ear, knowledge of others' minds, recollection of past lives, miraculous powers, and the superknowledge of the exhaustion of defilements: these are the six superknowledges. Buddha, dharma, sangha, ethics, generosity, and the deity: these are the six recollections. Knowing what is possible and impossible, knowing the ripening of actions, knowing various inclinations, the order of elements and faculties, the path of all-going, purification from afflictions, recollection of past lives, transference of beings, and the exhaustion of defilements: including the powers of knowledge, these are the ten powers of the Victorious One. Perfection of abandonment, perfection of realization, and in regard to obstructing dharmas and definite emergence, the four fearlessnesses are the fearlessness of vows. The four analytical knowledges are analytical knowledge of dharma, analytical knowledge of meaning, analytical knowledge of language, and analytical knowledge of eloquence. Absence of confusion and idle talk, absence of loss of mindfulness, absence of non-concentration and diverse thoughts, absence of unexamined equanimity: these are the six non-protections. Desire, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, wisdom, and liberation: these are the non-declining qualities. The six unmixed realizations, and body, speech, and mind.
