Clearly showing the various subjects of many treatises by name is a necessary delight for the wise. Clearly showing the various subjects of many treatises by name is a necessary delight for the wise. This is a treatise called "Clearly Showing the Various Subjects of Many Treatises by Name is a Necessary Delight for the Wise." Having respectfully bowed to the all-knowing Shakya King who directly sees all knowable things, the great treasure of wisdom Mipham Manjushri, the Second Buddha Lobsang Drakpa, and all other excellent objects of refuge, from the well-spoken scriptures and their commentaries, some of the names and terms of the laws of acceptance and rejection, etc., which arise therein, are collected together and clearly explained in easy-to-understand language. That is, knowable things, measurable things, the established basis, what is established by valid cognition, what is cognized by valid cognition, and what is realized by valid cognition, as well as names such as dharma, existence, and object, the method of reading mantras, called the ornament of speech. It is only that there are different reverses for one meaning. Impermanence, things, the ability to function, conditioned, made, born, other-dependent, self-characterized, and destructive dharmas, etc., have the same meaning. Permanence, indestructible dharma, and non-thing dharma, unborn, and non-ceasing dharma, etc., have the same meaning. Because it is established in dependence, it is dependent arising. Because it is the object of mind, it is knowable. Because it can function, it is called a thing. Because it cannot function, it is a non-thing. Because it is an accumulation of many, it is a aggregate. Because it produces and increases, it is a source. The self-result, the kind of cause, is called a realm. By this, one can infer the meanings of other remaining words, knowing that there is a fear of multiplicity here. Conventional and ultimate, are two truths. Dharma and person, selflessness also has two. Imaginary, other-dependent, and perfectly established, are three natures. Form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, these five are the five aggregates. Eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind faculties, are the six faculties. Form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, dharma, these six are called the six objects. These faculties and objects are the twelve sources. From eye consciousness to mind consciousness, these six are called the six consciousnesses. Faculty

The eighteen aggregates of aggregates and consciousness, the sutras say that the realms are also eighteen. On top of the six consciousnesses, add the two, Alaya and Klesha mind. Some also believe that adding them together makes eight consciousnesses. The four great elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, plus space, are also said to be five realms. Including consciousness, it is also said to be six realms. Form has two types: color and shape. Blue, yellow, white, and red are the four basic colors. Clouds, smoke, dust, fog, light, darkness, sun, and shadow are divided into eight branch colors. Long, short, square, round, high, low, straight, and crooked are called eight types of shape forms. Sound has two types: comprehensible and incomprehensible. Each type is further divided into pleasant and unpleasant. Smell has two types: fragrant and unfragrant. Sweet, sour, bitter, astringent, salty, and bland are the six tastes. Each is divided into six, totaling thirty-six. The four elements, softness, roughness, heaviness, lightness, hunger, thirst, and cold, are the seven, totaling eleven tactile sensations. The four noble truths of suffering, origin, cessation, and path, each has four aspects, totaling sixteen. The truth of suffering has four aspects: impermanence, emptiness, selflessness. The truth of origin has four aspects: cause, arising, condition, combination. The truth of cessation has four aspects: cessation, peace, excellence, liberation. The truth of the path has four aspects: path, practice, understanding, deliverance. Impermanence and so on are called the sixteen aspects. Ignorance, action, consciousness, name and form, six senses, contact, feeling, craving, grasping, existence, birth, and old age and death are the twelve links. Below the earth, on the earth, and above the earth are the three realms. These are also called the three existences. The desire realm, form realm, and formless realm are called the three realms. Jambudvipa, Videha, Godaniya, and Kuru are called the four continents. Deha and Videha, etc., have eight subcontinents. Mount Meru is surrounded by seven golden mountains, namely Yoke-Holder Mountain, Axle-Holder Mountain, Double-Holder Mountain, Good-Looking Mountain, Horse-Ear Mountain, Elephant-Nose Mountain, and Edge-Holder Mountain. From the four continents to the Brahma world, adding one direction together becomes one thousand, called a small chiliocosm. A thousand small chiliocosms become a medium chiliocosm, and a thousand medium chiliocosms become a great chiliocosm. Surrounding it is the Great Iron Mountain.
