Because of abandonment, it is constant, because it is an unconditioned dharma that is free from the birth of karma and afflictions. It is steadfast, because it is a dharma that ultimately has no death and no cessation. It is peaceful, because it is the abandonment that has abandoned all faults. It is eternal, because it is the nature of dharma without aging. It is the place of uncontaminated bliss, because it is the peace that has abandoned suffering and its causes. Thus it is said, in the Uttaratantra: 'Because it is free from birth, it is constant; because it is without cessation, it is steadfast; because it is without duality, it is peaceful; because it abides in the eternal nature of dharma; because of the truth of perfect peace and cessation.' In general, the nature of dharma is difficult to realize, and in particular, the Svabhavikakaya is a profound dharma that is difficult to realize directly. As it says in the Uttaratantra: 'Because it is subtle, it is not an object of hearing; because it is ultimate, it is not an object of thought; because the nature of dharma is profound, it is not an object of worldly meditation, etc.' 'Why is it like a blind man to form, a child has never seen it before, like a young child in a born family, like the form of the sun, even the noble ones.' As it is said, the latter two lines show the example that even the learning noble ones are difficult to realize. In short, the Svabhavikakaya possesses five characteristics and five qualities, namely the unconditioned that is free from birth and death, etc., the inseparability of the nature of dharmadhatu, being free from the extremes of imputation and denigration, being liberated from the three obscurations of afflictive obscurations, cognitive obscurations, and the obscuration of meditative absorption, and the five qualities of the nature of luminosity such as being stainless and without conceptualization, and the fact that it is vast and immeasurable, unable to measure 'only this much', unable to count 'only this number', unable to think of the four extremes with logic, and because others do not have it, it is unequal, and the five qualities of purifying the two obscurations together with their imprints. As it says in the Uttaratantra: 'The Svabhavikakaya of those Buddhas has five characteristics. In short, it should be known to possess five qualities. Unconditioned and without distinction, both extremes are completely abandoned, afflictions, knowable objects, and meditative absorption, are definitely liberated from the three obscurations, stainless, without conceptualization, and yogis.'

Because it is the realm of... The essence of the Dharmadhatu, because it is pure, is luminous. Thus it is said. Immeasurable, countless, inconceivable, incomparable, the ultimate of purity, the self-existent body that is fully endowed with all qualities, because it is vast and countless, it is not the realm of speculation, and because it has abandoned only habitual tendencies, immeasurable, etc., are arranged in order. Thus it is said. Ultimate realization is omniscience, and although many characteristics of it are described, they will not be discussed here. In short, there is no attachment or obstruction to all knowable things, just like the sun to form. Thus it is also said: Because afflictions have been abandoned, there is no attachment. Because all obscurations of knowledge have been purified, there is no obstruction in all things. Thus it is said. Second, regarding the Sambhogakaya. The basis for the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, to first attain the two forms of the Dharmakaya is the Sambhogakaya, the form body of the Buddha, the complete and ultimate form of qualities, and the body that is unique from others is also that. This is a body of wisdom, without flesh and blood, so there is no abdomen or internal organs at all. The Sambhogakaya has five certainties, because it has the certainties of body, place, retinue, dharma, and time. It has five distinctions, because the body is adorned with complete marks and signs, the speech constantly teaches the Dharma, the activity of benefiting beings is continuous, there is no effort, and the five aspects of showing various different forms of the body. As stated in the Uttaratantra: "Perfect enjoyment of various dharmas, because the self-existent dharma appears, and because of the common cause of pure compassion, because the benefit of beings is continuous, and because of fulfilling desires as desired, with the magical power of the wish-fulfilling jewel, it abides in perfect enjoyment. Speech, manifestation, and activity are continuous, and there is no manifest action, and showing that it is not its essence, here it is said to be five different kinds." Thus it is said. Third, the emanation of the Sambhogakaya, the supreme emanation body, such as our teacher who shows the twelve deeds, etc. As stated in the Uttaratantra: "With great compassion, he knows the world." etc.
