Regarding the basis and afflictive mind, they do not wish for it. Most of the common views are as previously stated, such as the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, as asserted by the Vaibhashikas. Secondly, regarding the path, there are two aspects: what is to be abandoned is the same as the Vaibhashikas, and the object of the path is the sixteen aspects of the four truths, such as impermanence. Although they also make the distinction of the five paths, they do not wish for the establishment of the ten grounds and the enjoyment body, as before. However, it is said that this school has a desire to accept the Mahayana. If so, then it is clear that they also acknowledge the ten grounds and the establishment of the enjoyment body that are explained later. The wisdom that realizes the selflessness of persons is the nature of the path of liberation. The selflessness of persons is considered to be like the emptiness of persons being empty of a self-sufficient, substantially existent entity. And that emptiness is also suchness and the perfectly established. Furthermore, they also assert the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the eight liberations, the nine meditative absorptions, etc. Although some wish to attain Buddhahood, they cannot abandon the intention of primarily seeking their own peace, so that intention does not become the proximate cause for attaining Buddhahood, and a valid explanation is also seen. Although there are no special methods, they believe that by mainly meditating on the path of realizing differences, they can attain enlightenment in their own path. Thirdly, regarding the result, by merely abandoning non-afflictive ignorance, one attains the inferior Arhatship; by practicing the path of abandoning both afflictive and non-afflictive ignorance in union, one attains the Buddhahood that perfects the two benefits as the result. This school also asserts the stages of stream-enterer, etc., for the Hearers. In short, this school and the Vaibhashikas both assert the two truths as the basis, the path of realizing the sixteen aspects such as impermanence as the path, and the two enlightenments, inferior and complete, as the result. Furthermore, they both assert non-revealing form as form, and direct perception and inference as valid cognition, etc., being similar only in assertion, but it should be known that there are internal differences. For example, the Vaibhashikas assert unconditioned phenomena, indivisible particles, etc., as ultimate truth, while the Sautrantikas assert these as conventional truth. The Vaibhashikas assert that non-revealing form is truly existent form, but...

It is like the form that is imputed by the earth. Third, regarding the Mind-Only school, there are four points: definition, meaning of the term, classification, and tenets. The first is: those who do not accept external objects but accept self-awareness and other entities as truly established, and who proclaim the Mahayana tenets, are the definition of Mind-Only. The second is: because they assert that external objects do not exist and that the three realms are merely the nature of mind, they are called Mind-Only or Consciousness-Only, and also Yoga practice. Examples include: Vasubandhu, Dignāga, Dharmakīrti. Third, classifying it, Mind-Only is divided into two types: True Aspectarians and False Aspectarians. The appearance of gross forms to the direct perception of the sense faculty that apprehends forms is the basis of the debate between the two types of Aspectarians. False Aspectarians believe that what appears in that way does not exist as it appears, while True Aspectarians believe that it does exist in that way. True Aspectarians are further divided into three types: Equal Number of Subject and Object, Half an Egg, and Non-Dual Diverse. That is, when the eye consciousness apprehends variegated colors, from the perspective of the object, it presents different aspects of blue, yellow, etc.; and from the perspective of the subject, it also gives rise to consciousnesses possessing different aspects of blue, yellow, etc.; therefore, it is Equal Number of Subject and Object. Also, from the perspective of the object, although it presents different aspects of blue, yellow, etc., from the perspective of the subject, it does not give rise to consciousnesses possessing different aspects of blue, yellow, etc., but rather gives rise to consciousness possessing only a variegated aspect; therefore, it is Half an Egg. Also, when apprehending in that way, from the perspective of the object, it does not present different aspects of blue, etc., but rather presents only a variegated aspect; and from the perspective of the subject, it does not give rise to consciousnesses possessing different aspects of blue, etc., but rather gives rise to consciousness possessing only a variegated aspect; therefore, it is called Non-Dual Diverse. False Aspectarians are also divided into two types: Defiled False Aspectarians and Undefiled False Aspectarians. The difference between them is based on whether or not they believe that the nature of the consciousness of subject and object is defiled by defilements. There are still many more detailed classifications of these, but they are omitted due to their abundance. Moreover, it is said that the Sutra school also has three types, including Equal Number of Subject and Object. Fourth, regarding tenets
