They believe that setting up a hundred altars and performing fire sacrifices is the most excellent method for accomplishing Brahma. They acknowledge a permanent self, and even though Brahma arises from the gate of emanation through the mind of the Lord Brahma, Brahma himself is the creator of all worlds. In particular, they acknowledge that Brahmins come from the mouth of Brahma, and they believe that the four Vedas also arose from the four faces of Brahma. Third, the grammarians consider Brahma to be the teacher among teachers, names, and tenets, and because they focus primarily on sound, they are called grammarians. They believe that the Brahma of sound, which has become an entity, is a permanent entity without beginning or end. They say that it is without parts of direction and time, and is the essence of all things, the nature of the three letters A, U, and Ma. They believe that sound enters into objects with real power, and that all internal and external things exist in that single nature. They also perform sacrifices to the Lord, and they boast that the emission of semen during intercourse with a woman is the supreme path. They consider the empty, clear appearance when coarse thoughts cease at the time of ejaculation to be the main part of the path, and they say that such a blissful emptiness, a state of being dazed, is liberation. They believe in a permanent self, and in terms of epistemology, they consider the Vedas alone to be self-arisen valid cognition, while some also accept the two valid cognitions of direct perception and inference. Fourth, the Vedantists consider Brahma to be the teacher of the Vedists or Vedantas among teachers, names, and tenets. They say that they have exhausted the Vedas, so they are Vedantas. Some of these people believe that the self is as small as a mustard seed, while others believe it is as large as Mount Meru but cannot be pointed out. Others believe that there is a person who pervades all sentient beings, is permanent, immortal, and possesses eight characteristics. As it says in the Blaze of Reasoning: "The upper direction is the head, the lower direction is the feet, the sky is the belly, the directions are the hands," and so on. He alone is the cause of all containers and contents, and whoever sees him as golden in color believes that good and evil are equal at that time. Fifth, the secretists consider the teacher to be the same as before among teachers, names, and tenets. They follow the teachings of the secret nectar drops of the Vedas spoken by Brahma.

Therefore, those who follow the earth are called the Secret Sect. It is said in the commentary of Uma Ornament that they believe that the "self" which is the nature of the four elements such as earth is permanent, and that the nature of consciousness pervades all beings and is omnipresent. Sixth, the Ishvara sect. In terms of teachers, names, and tenets, the previous teacher was Ishvara, the master was the moon, and later it was the youth Malen. Because they consider Ishvara to be the teacher, they are called the Ishvara sect. They believe that Ishvara has ten incarnations, as it is said: fish, turtle, boar, man-lion, dwarf, the two who bring joy, Krishna, Buddha, the one with the lineage, these are the ten incarnations. Ishvara is the creator of beings, and so are the permanent atoms, and they also consider him to be the creator of the vessel and essence world. They acknowledge that the emptiness of the cessation of samsara is liberation, and they believe that practicing certain wind yogas can grant the liberation of Ishvara. Ishvara also arrogantly says: all the good things of the vessel and essence world, such as the sun and moon, are mine. They also believe that ("I") is permanent. Seventh, the Veda sect. In terms of teachers, names, and tenets, Ishvara and Gyalpok are the teachers. Because they study the Vedas, they are called the Veda sect, and because they follow Gyalpok, they are called the Gyalpok sect. They believe that the "self" is the nature of experiencing pleasure and pain, is temporarily impermanent, and is an omnipresent consciousness that exists separately from the body, a kind of wisdom that cannot distinguish between the entity and the opposite. They acknowledge that all languages other than the language of the Vedas are false. The first point, as stated in the Pramana Sutra: others are the opposite of me, by the nature of the follower...etc. The second point, as it is said: the language of men is false, because the Vedas were not created by men, therefore it should be measured by pramana. They believe that liberation from the evil realms is liberation, and for this purpose they serve the five fires, and also perform fire offerings, and the horse sacrifice is said to be the same as what was said before. They consider their teacher Gyalpok to be omniscient, but they do not acknowledge the omniscience of knowing all that is to be known, because the knowable is infinite, and the defilement has entered the nature of the mind and cannot be separated from the mind.
