This is due to the difference in the timing of completion in the morning and evening, and not due to differences in the speed of the solar wind, etc. As it is said, due to different regions, there is a difference in the timing of sunrise and sunset. Therefore, there are differences in the length of day and night. Although it seems that the sun's movement is fast or slow, and there are differences in the length of morning and evening, in reality, it is not so. This view is confirmed by correct teachings and logic. So, is there a difference in the size of the sky and the region where the sun travels around Mount Meru? Although the sun has southward and northward movements, there is no difference in the size of the region it travels. If there were a difference in size, then a day would be more or less than sixty hours, which contradicts the previously stated reasons. Therefore, here, the sun moves south away from Mount Meru in sequence, and in the north, it moves closer to Mount Meru. In any continent where the sun moves slightly away from Mount Meru, in the continent behind it, the sun moves slightly closer to Mount Meru. It does not maintain the same size from all directions of Mount Meru. The fourth point is that, in general, in the first month of winter, when the sun's southward movement reaches its end, it is the winter solstice. According to common rough calculations, the shortest day is twelve yud-tsam or twenty-four hours, and the longest night is eighteen yud-tsam or thirty-six hours, which is when the winter solstice occurs. This occurs in the first month of winter, which is the eleventh month of the Tibetan calendar. If there is no intercalary month, it usually occurs before the ninth day of the eleventh month of the Tibetan calendar. If there is an intercalary month, it may occur around the twentieth of the eleventh month, or even at the beginning of the twelfth month. In the first month of summer, when the sun's northward movement reaches its end, it is the summer solstice. When the day is eighteen yud-tsam and the night is twelve yud-tsam, it is the summer solstice. This occurs in the first month of summer, which is the fifth month of the Tibetan calendar. If there is no intercalary month, it usually occurs before the ninth day of the fifth month of the Tibetan calendar. If there is an intercalary month, it may occur around the twentieth and the sixth month.

It may also occur at the beginning of similar dates. Similarly, the vernal equinox occurs in the first spring month (Dvo month), and the autumnal equinox occurs in the middle autumn month (Khrums month). This usually occurs in the second and eighth months of the Hor calendar. These will also occur as before, depending on whether or not there is an intercalary month. If combined with the zodiac months, the winter solstice occurs in Sagittarius, and the summer solstice occurs in Gemini. The vernal and autumnal equinoxes occur in Pisces and Virgo, respectively. More details are still needed. Great scholar-accomplisher Norzang Gyatso and other scholars of the Kalachakra believe that the longest day or night is 36 hours and the shortest is 24 hours, which occurs in the northern mountain Gangden, not in Tibet. Because in Tibet, the longest day or night is about 33 hours, and the shortest is a little over 26 hours. They believe this, and it has been proven by pure logic and reasoning, so it is very important. These four times of solstice and equinox are the four unchanging nails. How many days are there between the summer and winter solstices and the autumn and spring equinoxes? From the time of the winter solstice, after about ninety constellation days, or ninety-one days and nineteen hours three minutes and three breaths, or ninety-two date days and forty-six hours nine minutes and one breath, the vernal equinox will occur. Similarly, the time between the other three solar terms is about the same. From the winter solstice day of the previous year to the same day one year later, it takes eleven days. Similar calculations apply to the other three solar terms. According to the Kalachakra view, these solstices are considered to be the two extreme points on the diameter of our continent. Otherwise, it is believed that there will be a summer solstice, a winter solstice, and a spring and autumn equinox every day. For example, on the day of the summer solstice on this continent, it is the winter solstice in the north and the autumnal equinox in the east.
