is the supreme one. He is the lord and master of the assembly of Bodhisattvas, and the owner of the assembly of Tathagatas. In short, the venerable one is shown to be the master of lineage and mandala. Because they have control over the qualities, they possess power, and therefore they are also called great powerful ones. That power is also the power of wisdom, so it is said that wisdom itself is cherished. Because the Dharma and the venerable ones are cherished by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, they are called cherished ones. Because they abide in the ultimate path of the Great Vehicle mantras, they do not rely on others, because the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, etc., do not rely on other teachers. Regarding the distinction of the qualities of speech, since they have attained the correct understanding of each meaning, they are the lords of words; since they have attained the correct understanding of each Dharma, they are the owners of words; since they have the correct understanding of each definitive word, they are skilled speakers; since they have the correct understanding of each fearlessness, they have power over words. Because they teach the Dharma in various languages, the words are infinite. Because they teach the meaning without deceiving, the words are true; because they teach in accordance with the meaning without contradicting the past and future, they are speakers of truth, namely the truth of suffering, the origin, the path, and the cessation, these four noble truths are the teachers for the beings to be tamed. These are explained according to the literal meaning, and there is also a way to show the differences of the teachers who empower the hidden meaning through these. Because it is impossible to regress to the path of the Lesser Vehicle, they are non-regressors, which means non-regression from complete enlightenment. Because they do not come to samsara due to the power of karma and afflictions, they are non-returners. In order to tame the beings to be tamed, the guide manifests as residing in the assembly of Pratyekabuddhas, or as living alone like a rhinoceros. Or, teaching the Dharma to those of the Pratyekabuddha lineage, as it is said that the Pratyekabuddhas attain the state of Arhat. In order to make the lineages of various beings to be tamed conform to their respective lineages, they teach various methods of liberation from samsara, and place them on that path of liberation that is sure to be liberated. The only great method for attaining that state is virtuous action. Here, "great" refers to
