Now, for the yogi himself, the three of the vessel, birth, death, and bardo that will occur in the future can serve as both a basis for training and a harmonious condition for the Dharma. For others, those that have occurred and will occur are harmonious conditions for the Dharma, but because they are not the main object of training. The third part has two points: the difference between method and wisdom, and how these are transformed into the meaning of the two, E-Vam. The first point has four parts: explaining the aspect of wisdom emptiness, explaining the aspect of easy method, explaining the way to combine method and wisdom, and explaining the meaning of the inseparability of the two truths. First point: Regarding the wisdom of emptiness, from which tantras is the reason taught here? The root tantra says, "With emptiness of causes, etc., as the preliminary." And, the explanatory tantra, the Conduct Tantra, says, "Śrī (Tibetan, Devanagari: श्री, Romanized Sanskrit: śrī, literal meaning: auspiciousness) is non-dual wisdom." and so on. The Ocean of Dakinis also says, "Even the non-duality of E-Vam (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal meaning: thus) and so on, is expressed by the letter called Śrī (Tibetan, Devanagari: श्री, Romanized Sanskrit: śrī, literal meaning: auspiciousness)." and so on. It is also taught in many scriptures such as the Hevajra Tantra. These also show the special view of emptiness, so the view of emptiness must be sought with certainty through hearing and thinking. Because it is like the lifeblood of the path to liberation, it is indispensable. As the Samadhiraja Sutra says, "If one separately understands the selflessness of phenomena, and separately examines and meditates on it, that is the cause for attaining nirvana. Whatever other cause there is, it will not lead to peace." And, the protector Nagarjuna also said, "Those who do not know emptiness are not a basis for liberation. In the prison of the six realms of existence, those who are deluded will wander in samsara." Therefore, not to mention obtaining a pure view of emptiness, merely having a doubt about the meaning of that principle will plant the seed of liberation and be able to destroy existence. As Aryadeva said, "Even with little merit, one will not doubt this Dharma. Even just having doubt, one will destroy the ocean of existence." Therefore, especially for the union of bliss and emptiness, one must obtain the view of emptiness. If one does not obtain it, even if one wants to practice the union of bliss and emptiness, one will not be able to do so. Regarding the way to establish the view of emptiness in detail, one should understand it as it appears in the Madhyamaka treatises.

In summary, all internal and external phenomena are devoid of inherent existence because they arise from their own causes and conditions, being interdependent. For example, the reasoning of interdependence is like a reflection. These phenomena are not truly existent because they are not truly existent in either oneness or multiplicity. For example, one should establish the meaning of selflessness through reasoning that is free from oneness and multiplicity, like an illusion. If we briefly explain how these two aspects are established, it should be done as follows: The former, internal and external phenomena, depend on their own causes, conditions, and parts, and the parts also depend on the collection of their respective parts. Therefore, because they depend on that, they do not exist independently or with inherent existence. The latter, phenomena arise from the collection of many parts, so they are not truly established as indivisible oneness. Because they are not truly established as one, they are also not truly established as many. Therefore, one should apply this to all phenomena. As it is said in the Vajra Dakini: "All are of the nature of space, and space itself has no nature. All beings in the three realms are like illusions. Stable and moving beings are without any specific characteristics." When explaining its meaning, it is said in the "Ear of Actual Accomplishment": "Space is merely a name for the obstruction of tangible objects, so it has no other characteristics. Similarly, all phenomena, such as the aggregates, are of the nature of space, merely names. However, space is different from emptiness because it has the ability to perform functions. Therefore, although all beings in the three realms are false, they are like illusions with the ability to perform functions. If one examines all beings of the environment and inhabitants with reasoning that investigates reality, nothing can be specifically pointed out." Therefore, in this context, one must also establish that all phenomena are without inherent existence through reasoning such as interdependence and freedom from oneness and multiplicity. As it says in that very text: "If one merely thinks that phenomena are not truly established, like reflections and illusions, but there is no reasoning to establish it, then it is just empty words, and one will not find the correct view."
