Because it is as explained the method of practicing the Great Yoga of the Completion Stage. Second, what are the basis for cultivation in the Completion Stage and how to cultivate them? There are two aspects to this: identifying the basis for cultivation and the method of cultivation, and the method of combining with the Dharma. First, not only the Completion Stage, but there is a main basis for cultivation in the Two Stages. The three states of birth, death, and bardo that the yogi himself will experience are the main basis for cultivation in the Two Stages. How to cultivate them? Here, in the context of Sutra and Tantra, it is not like cultivating by purifying the previous mind with its defilements through the power of practicing the path, or by eliminating the defilements that obstruct the manifestation of Dharmata, or by severing the continuum of self-grasping and clinging through the wisdom that realizes selflessness. Rather, it is by cultivating the path that is in accordance with the three states of birth, death, and bardo, and their forms as they are, that these three are cultivated. In the context of the Two Stages, although the combination of these three may seem similar, there are differences. In the First Stage, the third basis for cultivation is cultivated through manifestation, suppression, and aspiration. In the Second Stage, it is cultivated genuinely by abandoning the seeds, and the path that is in accordance with the third basis for cultivation and its forms as they are, and the Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya of the fruition are genuinely accomplished. Second, there is the method of combining with the Dharma. The gradual dissolution of the six elements of a human born from a womb in Jambudvipa, including earth, water, fire, wind, luminosity, increase, and the three attainments, and the arising of the clear light of death, are in accordance with the Dharmakaya of the path and fruition. The five lights and winds that have become the mount of the clear light of death, and the co-emergent cause of mind, the bardo wind body with the form of hands and feet from where one will be born, separated from the old aggregates of Vipaka, is in accordance with the Sambhogakaya of the path and fruition. The bardo being entering the center of the father and mother's sperm and blood and taking birth is in accordance with the Nirmanakaya of the path and fruition. Moreover, the three Dharmakayas of the basis, path, and fruition are mutually in accordance with the Dharma.

Moreover, the three Nirmāṇakāya and the three Saṃbhogakāya are also in accordance with each other in terms of Dharma nature. Therefore, these three objects of purification are termed the three bodies of the basis because they are said to be so due to the reason that they are in accordance with the path of concord and the three bodies of the result. Here, although the terminology of the five stages of the basis is not explicitly explained according to the system of the Collected Works of Āryas, I think that doing so would not be contradictory. Just as in the Collected Works, generating the five stages of the path and the three bodies in a manner similar to the five stages of the basis and the three bodies is also very feasible in this system, as can be known from occasions such as mixing. In this way, there is a way to establish the five stages of the basis: from birth to death, the inhalation and exhalation of breath in the nostrils is the first stage of the basis, the Vajra Recitation; the three appearances of appearance, increase, and attainment at the time of death are the second stage of the basis, Mind Isolation; the clear light of death is the fourth stage of the basis, Clear Light; the intermediate state of existence is established as the illusory body of the third and fifth stages of the basis. There is also a way to establish the five stages and three bodies of a day: the inhalation and exhalation of breath in the nostrils in a day is the Vajra Recitation of a day; the three appearances of appearance, increase, and attainment during sleep are the Mind Isolation of a day; the clear light of sleep is the Clear Light of a day; the special body of dreams is established as the two illusory bodies of a day. The latter two, Clear Light and Illusory Body, are respectively the Dharmakāya and Saṃbhogakāya of a day. The special body of dreams enters the old ripening aggregate and awakens, and is established as its Nirmāṇakāya. According to the intention of all the Anuttaratantra tantras, the first stage of meditating on the dependent and supporting mandala is made to correspond to the stages of arising and ceasing of existence, which is the object of purification. There is a need to do so because the generation stage is for the purpose of maturing the continuum of the completion stage, and mainly for the purpose of knowing that the paths of the completion stage must be practiced in a manner similar to those objects of purification. As it is said in the Tantra Stages: Having combined with the object of purification, having understood the key points of the two stages, one should firmly generate certainty in the first stage as the cause of the second. Therefore, there is a difference between the object of purification and being in accordance with the Dharma.
