Even afflictions do not become faults. If they are not grasped by skillful means, they become the cause of samsara; but if they are grasped by it, they become the cause of liberation, which is not contradictory. For example, the wisdom that realizes emptiness becomes the cause of each of the three vehicles' enlightenment due to the difference of being grasped by their respective minds. Also, like the ketaka flower, if eaten by a fragrant elephant, it turns into musk dung; but if eaten by an ordinary elephant, it turns into heavy dung. If it is an affliction, it must be an obscuration. If it is an obscuration, then from its own nature, it is an obstacle to achieving enlightenment, so it is contradictory to be the cause of it. If you think so, there is no fault. Although it cannot become the cause of enlightenment by its own power, it is not contradictory to become the cause of its own fruit, enlightenment, by the power of other friends. For example, water fertilizer cannot be the immediate cause of its own fruit sprout, but it is not contradictory to be its co-occurring cause. These two are not dissimilar in example and meaning, as the sutra says: Just as the impure fertilizer of the city of Serkya, is beneficial to the sugarcane field. Likewise, the bodhisattva's affliction fertilizer, is beneficial to the growth of all Buddha dharmas. Second, here, if the conduct is divided, there are three types: conduct with elaboration, without elaboration, and extremely without elaboration. As it says in the prayer: The great yoga of the completion stage, has three conducts: with elaboration, without elaboration, and extremely without elaboration. From the perspective of time and what is to be accomplished, there are many types. In the stage of the two stages, there is newly obtaining the path that was not obtained before, increasing the path that has already been obtained, and especially the conduct done with the aim of achieving the illusory body by mind isolation, achieving the meaning of clear light by the illusory body, and achieving the non-learning union by the learning union. There are differences in the characteristics of the three conducts: the conduct with elaboration, which has action seals, masks, clothing, etc., and has actions such as expressions and answers; the conduct without elaboration, which has action seals, masks, clothing, etc., and is free from elaborations such as expressions and answers; and elaboration

Having abandoned all of these, entering into a state of equanimity with the wisdom seal (Tibetan: ཡེ་རྒྱ་), and unifying the clear light of sleep, there are three practices of conduct. These three are the causes for establishing each of the three conducts, because they are in sequence. As mentioned before, there is elaborate practice, which is that male and female yogis equal to the number of deities in the mandala enter into the state of their respective deities, accompanied by hand gestures, songs, dances, and the elaborate responses to these, and cultivate suchness by enjoying the objects of desire like the nine mudras. The non-elaborate practice is to abandon the elaborate responses, and male and female yogis equal to the number of deities, together with five or four mudras, cultivate suchness by enjoying the objects of desire. The extremely non-elaborate practice is to abandon all external elaborations, and relying only on the wisdom mudra arising from one's own heart, mainly cultivate suchness by protecting the surroundings in the clear light of sleep. These methods are described in the commentary on the twenty-seventh chapter of the Root Tantra, etc. Fourth, the way to manifest the fruit has two aspects: the way the fruit is accomplished, and what to do if it is not accomplished. The first exists, that is, the samadhi of the union of learning previously described, and the three practices of the completion stage, as appropriate, will eventually accomplish the body of the union of no more learning. Furthermore, there is a way to act when approaching ultimate accomplishment. The Vajra Tent Tantra says: "It can be accomplished in one day, or in two days with rituals, or by diligently practicing for three days, or similarly in four days, or by diligently practicing for five days, there is no doubt about this accomplishment." From "After the Vajra Sun sets, if this union is well performed, at the time when the dawn appears, there is no doubt about this accomplishment." As it is said. To summarize its meaning, it becomes like this: the one with the union of learning relies on the mudra, and at the time of the four joys, especially the co-emergent joy, combines bliss and emptiness without separation, and cultivates with one-pointed concentration, at dawn, the light of meaning
