Although it is one of the eight channels that form initially, it is not one of the eight channels of the heart center. From the four petals of the heart center channels, the four elements' winds flow, so it is said to be the element channel; from the four intermediate channels, the four objects of form, smell, taste, and touch flow, so it is said to be the offering channel. It is also said that the five nectars of excrement, urine, semen, blood, and phlegm flow. From these, the three, wind, blood, and semen, mainly flow, dividing into three groups of three, and the channels that reside in the twenty-four places, such as the crown of the head, are called the channels of the twenty-four places. The twenty-four places are from the hairline to the knees, as it appears in Chakrasamvara. Adding the eight channels that initially form in the heart to these channels, these thirty-two are called the channels through which bodhicitta flows. As it says in the Samputa Tantra: "The nature of the bodhi mind is the channel, the thirty-two are supreme." However, when it is said that it flows from the demon-severing mother, it is referring to the time of death and the path. On the ground, neither wind nor bodhicitta flows from within it. Not only does it not flow from within it, but it also obstructs the flow of wind and bodhicitta from within other channels, so it is called the demon-severing mother, the time channel, and the channel that yoginis block. On the ground, except at the time of death, wind does not flow up and down within the central channel, because it is sealed by a tight knot of "ro rkyang". At the time of death, the wind flows, because the karmic force causes the channel knots to unravel. The meaning of the classification of channels as explained in the Hevajra Tantra and the Vajra Garland Tantra, which are common to bliss and secrecy, is as it appears in the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel and others. From these channels of the twenty-four places, the ones that mainly flow semen, the ones that mainly flow blood, and the ones that mainly flow wind are divided into three groups of three, becoming seventy-two channels. Each of these is divided into a thousand, becoming seventy-two thousand channels. From these seventy-two thousand channels, the twenty-four thousand are divided into three groups, one group mainly flows semen, one group mainly flows blood, and one group mainly flows wind, which are, in order, the channels of body, speech, and mind, and the three chakras.
