So, if the meaning of "the short sound of prophecy all becomes language" is that the short sound A is shown as the root of all language and words, then what is the meaning of "not one, not many"? It means that the definitive short sound A gradually becomes the root of all language and words, so it is not one at the time of the arising stage, and it is not many from the perspective of essence or at the end of the absorption stage. Because that is the meaning. Fifth, how does language silence become a branch of life-force? The Uttaratantra states: "The nature of the five wisdoms is breath, the essence of the five elements. Having arisen in the form of a lump, it is carefully examined at the tip of the nose. Possessing the five colors of jewels, it is said to be life and effort. Having contemplated the self-mantra in the heart, life is placed as having become a bindu." This shows how to meditate on the three life-forces. The first four lines show the material bindu at the tip of the secret nose, then the two lines show the light bindu at the tip of the nose of the face, and from "in the heart" onwards, it shows how to meditate on the mantra bindu at the tip of the nose of the heart. Because, in the base stage, the wind bindu, which has become the essence of the five wisdoms and the five elements, is meditated upon at the junction of the self and the mudra's dhūti, and that wind bindu is combined with the sound of the three letters and the vajra recitation is performed at the upper gate, and the bindu with the short sound A is meditated upon in the dhūti of the heart chakra, thus sequentially showing the three life-forces. Therefore, the three yogas that are meditated upon in this way are called life-force, where life here refers to the air that sustains life, and effort refers to the meaning of prolonging, for the reason that it is so called. So, when meditating on the mantra material bindu, there is no direct focus on the air, so how does it become life-force? There is no fault, because it is a direct method for the air to enter the central channel, so it will become life-force. Sixth, in three parts: the order of meditating on the three life-forces, the unique function of vajra recitation, and the way in which experience arises from meditating in this way. The first part is in three parts: the way of meditating on the mantra bindu at the tip of the nose of the heart, the light bindu at the tip of the nose of the face, and the material bindu at the tip of the secret nose. The first part is:

In the Monlam it says, "The king of bindus, the supreme mantra bindu." As indicated by these four lines, there are two aspects to this: the concise practice of mantra bindu and the method of meditating on the mantra wheel. Firstly, in the Root Tantra it says, "The great precious one of five colors." The quote mentioned above has already been cited. In its commentary, it says, "The precious one is known as indestructible, because it generates the precious Buddha." As explained, when practicing this, there are five aspects: where, with what support, in what manner, the distinction of shape and color, and the benefits of meditating on it. First, the Root Tantra indicates, "In a great solitary place." Secondly, meditate by abiding in the yoga of the great secret Vajradhara in bodily solitude. Thirdly, meditate by possessing the four essential points of body, time, place, and wind. Fourthly, Kukkuripa says that the bindu is like a white and red gau box joined together, and Zhalu says that it has a white and red radiance, and it is taught to meditate with the inclusion of the Compendium of Practices and the Order of Arising, along with the short A. In the Vajra Garland, it is said to be with HUM, so either elaborate or concise is sufficient. Fifthly, it is taught in the Manifestation of Joy and by the Drilbuwa that by relying on meditating on it, the co-emergent great bliss arises. Secondly, although the practice of the mantra wheel is not explicitly taught in the tantras and by the noble father and sons, it is good as taught by Naropa. Its method is to visualize in the heart either the three layers of the eight-petaled nadi, or the red lotus with eight petals, visualized as the nature of the eight-petaled nadi, in any of the three layers. On the outer petals are the twelve vowels, symbolizing manifestation, with the color white. On the middle petals are the consonants, except for the letters MA and SHA, symbolizing increase, with the color red. On the inner four petals are the near-attainments, symbolizing black like RI and LI. All the letters are adorned with bindus. If meditating from the root, visualize clearly in the inner and outer petals the form of a garland strung together, and in the center, hold the mind on the indestructible bindu together with the short A. This is also practiced in order to easily gather into the dhuti, but it is not a necessary limb to practice, because it is not taught in the tantras and by the noble father and sons, and in one instruction of the Marpa tradition, there is no mantra wheel, only the bindu together with the short A.
