Four are Mount Meru, lotus, variegated vajra, and upon them, arising from the five manifest enlightenments, the support and the supported arise simultaneously. In the common protection wheel of Heruka, upon the dharma-originated lotus vajra, the four elements arise, and upon them, from bhrūṃ (Tibetan: བྷྲུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूं, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: bhrūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: seed syllable) arises a wheel, from which arises the support, and so on, many. In short, when generating the palace, there are two possibilities: generating or not generating the four elements, and when generating, within the ten-spoked wheel, there are two possibilities: generating or not generating. The second has three: the actual method of generating the deity, applying the basis of purification to the path, and summarizing the meaning, etc. The first has two: the method of generating with the five manifest enlightenments, and the method of generating by urging with melting song and music. The first is: from the five—suchness, moon, seed syllable, hand symbol, and complete body—the five enlightenments arise, the noble father and sons consider it so, and there are also differences in others. At the time of the five manifest enlightenments, there are two possibilities: generating or not generating Āli and Kāli, and when generating, there are also different ways of adding. The second is: in Heruka, by melting the cause, the Vajradhara, urging with song and music, the result, the Vajradhara, is generated, and in Guhyasamaja, after the approach, it is generated by urging with melting song and music, which is different from the former. The melting of whatever represents the intermediate state is like the intermediate state entering the womb, and the shape of the representation, in some cases, is the form of a deity, in some cases, a hand symbol, in some cases, a letter, and in some cases, a nāda, and the method of entering is also different. The second is: one who has previously accumulated the karma of taking birth in the mother's womb, after dying, the intermediate state is formed, and after the intermediate state enters the womb, including the completion, taking a wife and giving birth to sons and daughters, etc., in accordance with this, one meditates on the generation stage, that is, accumulating merit without focusing on the field of merit is like previously accumulating virtuous and non-virtuous karma, and this is combined with the path of accumulation, meditating on emptiness is like death, and from then until the letters of the intermediate state, etc., have not melted, all are combined with the path of preparation, and the melting of the letters, etc., that represent the intermediate state is like the intermediate state entering the womb, and from then until the deity's body is not complete, the former is combined with the path of seeing, and the latter are successively combined with the ten bhūmis of the path of meditation. Then, the complete accomplishment of the bodies of the main father and mother is like in the womb.

Furthermore, the arising of the male and female deities of the mandala of the two parents is like parents giving birth to sons and daughters, requiring the path of no learning and the path of union. Due to the difference in the method of arising, there are also differences. Thirdly, in the generation stage, it is necessary to recognize the basis for training and the means of training. That is, what kind of body is held? It is held as the body of the fruit, Vajradhara in union with his consort. Where is it? In the palace and its center. What kind of action is performed? It is the action of accumulating merit by focusing on the field of merit. Taking birth as a bardo being is because the previous body has been abandoned, so first one must meditate on emptiness, pacify the clinging to ordinary appearances, and then it is necessary to arise as a deity. Thirdly, after thus generating the samaya being, one cultivates by inviting and merging the wisdom being, making offerings and praises, and partaking of nectar. When reciting, one should avoid errors. The materials for the mala, as stated in the "Union Sutra" and others: earth, fish glue, pearls, gems, white bones, white stones, etc., are suitable for pacifying; gold, silver, copper, lotus seeds, etc., are suitable for increasing; malas made of a mixture of pearls, coral, red sandalwood, and saffron are suitable for subjugation; malas made of human skulls, human bones, etc., are auspicious for wrathful practices. Bodhi seeds are said to be good for all activities. The number of beads, as stated in the "Vajra Dakini": one hundred and eight for pacifying, one hundred and eight for increasing, twenty-five for subjugation, sixteen for wrathful practices, and fifty are required for mantras for accomplishing special activities. The thread of the mala is said to be made of nine strands of cotton, etc. One should contemplate the central bead as Vajrasattva and the others as the nature of the eight great bodhisattvas. One should contemplate the beads as the nature of the five buddha families, and the thread as the stupa of the aggregates of dharma such as power, and bless them. This is not written here. When reciting mantras, one should avoid errors such as being too fast or too slow, and the visualization of expanding and contracting should be done as stated in the respective sadhanas. Pure recollection can be done before or after recitation. Thirdly, the materials for offering tormas are said to be tsampa, beans, meat, fish, meat sauce, noodles, blood sausage, torma cakes, alcohol, water, onions, garlic, milk, and water. Regarding the shape, although it is not clearly stated in the Chinese texts, in practice it can be made according to circumstances. If the materials are not made into shapes, one can directly offer these materials.
