Seeing that the inscription on the stone pillar was being read, he came down in front of the main temple and the stupa of Ganden, where he was relying on his body. He knelt down and drew his bow. The king thought this was expressing respect. First, he drew the bow; second, he attached the arrow to the string; third, he released his finger and shot the arrow, which hit his chest. He said, "I am the demon Ya Zher Nagpo. If you kill a sinful king, you should kill him like this." Then he ran away. People shouted, "The Tsenpo of Lhasa has been killed, chase him!" A black man slaughtered a horse by the lake, put on his fur coat inside out, and said, "I am the god Namteu Karpo." Then he ran away, but people didn't catch him. Some said he was a hermit Rakshasa, some said he was a wooden peg in a shadow box, and some said they didn't catch him because it was dark at the stone pillar. After that, he took the "Abhidharma Samuccaya," the "Vinaya-udana," and the "Karma Shatam" and went to Kham. Some panditas were expelled, some were driven out of the country, and most translators fled. He sent executioners and killed Nyangting Ngangdzin Zangpo and Ma Rinchen Chok, and made the Dharma disappear. The great queen of Langdarma said that she was pregnant with my son, and then found a young boy and said that this was my child born yesterday, and showed it to everyone. The ministers said, "A child born yesterday will not have teeth, let the queen's order be firm." Therefore, he was called Yumten. His son was Tri De Gonpo, his son was Gonnyen, and he had two sons, Rigpa Gonpo and Nyiwo Palgon. Rigpa Gon's son was Tri De Po, his son was Opo, and he had three sons, Atsara, Gonpo Tsen, and Gonpo Tsek. Nyiwo Palgon's son was Gonchok, and his son was Tsanala Yeshe Gyaltsen, who was the eldest son. The queen Chuma gave birth to a son, born in the Wood Ox year. Fearing that the great queen would kill or snatch him, he was guarded day and night with sunlight and lamplight continuously, so he was called Osung, and was enthroned, and died at the age of sixty-three. His son Pelkhor Tsen was enthroned at the age of thirteen, and died at the age of thirty-one. He had two sons, Trashitsukpa Pel and Trikyide Nyima Gon. Trashitsukpa took over the government.

Thereafter, he had three sons: the eldest was named Pelde, the middle one was named Ode, and the youngest was named Kyide. Nyima Gon, having been exiled to Ngari, built the Nyizung castle in Purang and seized political power. He had three sons: the eldest, Pelgyi De Rigpa Gon, took control of Mangyul; the middle one, Tashi De Gon, took control of Purang; and the youngest, De Tsug Gon, took control of Zhangzhung. He had two sons named Khore and Songe. At that time, in U-Tsang, there were no monastic vows, teachings, or disciplinary actions. The caretakers of the monasteries, wearing high-collared robes, were called 'Abiding Arhats.' They would say they were keeping vows, observing them for three months and four days of summer, and then say they were lifting the vows, and would not keep them thereafter. The mantra practitioners, without understanding the meaning of the tantras, would engage in improper practices such as union and liberation. The Manner of the Later Propagation of the Doctrine Secondly, the manner of the later propagation of the doctrine is as follows: At the time when Darma suppressed the doctrine, Gyelmi Tsang Rabsel of Jad, Yoge Jung of Bodongba, and Smar Shakyamuni of Todlungpa, were meditating at Pel Chuwori. They saw a monk herding sheep and, upon questioning him, learned that the king had suppressed the doctrine. They loaded a volume of the Vinaya onto a mule and fled to upper Ngari. Leaving from Garlok, they set out for the Hor region, intending to propagate the doctrine in a place where the language was different, but they were unable to do so. They came to Bero Tsatsho in the southern part of Do-med and meditated at Malung Dorje Drakra Achung Namdzong Dadig Shelgiyi Yanggon. A shepherd from the Machu River saw them and told those who were of different opinions. A person with karma and fortune, named Mugzu Salbar, went to visit them. He became devoted and requested ordination. Tsang Rabsel gave him a volume of the Vinaya, saying, 'Look at this, and if you have faith, you will be ordained.' After looking at it, he had faith and shed tears. There, Tsang Rabsel acted as the Khenpo (abbot), and Yoge acted as the Acharya (teacher), and he was ordained as a novice monk. The Khenpo and Acharya combined their names and named him Gewa Rabsel. Later, because he was very intelligent, he became known as Gongpa Rabsel. After that, he requested full ordination, but because there were not five fully ordained monks, it was said that it was not possible. Previously, Lhalung Pelgyi Dorjeba had three monks residing in Longtang, so they searched for them and found Pelgyi Dorje.
