དེ་སྦྱིན་པའི་མཐུ་མེད་དོ། །གཞན་སློངས་ཤིག །བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་སྨྲས་པ། རྒ་ན་འཆི་བའི་འཇིགས་དང་རྒུད་པར་མི་འགྱུར་བ། །ལྷ་གཅིག་གལ་ཏེ་མཆོག་བཞི་འདི་དག་མི་སྩལ་ན། །གཞན་ཡང་མཆོག་ཅིག་གསོལ་གྱིས་རྒྱལ་པོ་གསན་དུ་གསོལ། །འདི་ནས་ཤི་འཕོས་ཉིང་མཚམས་སྦྱོར་བར་མི་འགྱུར་མཛོད། །དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོས་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་བསམ་པ་རྫོགས་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག །ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་རང་གི་གནས་སུ་སོང་ངོ་། །རྒྱལ་པོས་ཀྱང་དོན་དེ་ཤཱཀྱ་རྣམས་ལ་བསྙད་པས་སྲུང་ངོ་། །ཞེས་བགྲོས་ཏེ། སྒོ་བཞི་རེ་རེར་ཤཱཀྱ་གཞོན་ནུ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་རེ་རེའང་ཤིང་རྟ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ། ཤིང་རྟ་རེ་རེའང་དཔུང་བུ་ཆུང་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་དང་བཅས་པ་བཀོད་དོ། །ཤཱཀྱ་རྒན་རབས་རྣམས་ལམ་གྱི་བཞི་མདོ་དང་སུམ་མདོར་འཁོད་དོ། །རྒྱལ་པོའང་མེལ་ཚེ་བྱེད་དོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་གནོད་སྦྱིན་རྣམས་དང་འཕྲོག་མའི་བུ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་རྣམས་ཀྱང་། དོ་ནུབ་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་མངོན་པར་འབྱུང་གིས། མཆོད་པའི་ལས་ལ་བརྩོན་ནོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་སྡེ་བཞི་ཡང་ཆིབས་པ་འདེགས་པར་སེམས་སོ། །སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱང་མཆོད་པའི་ལས་བྱེད་དོ། །བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་སྔོན་གྱི་སྨོན་ལམ་བཞི་མངོན་དུ་བྱེད་དོ། །ལྷའི་བུ་ཆོས་སྤྱོད་ལ་སོགས་པས་བཙུན་མོའི་འཁོར་མི་སྡུག་པར་བསྒྱུར་བ་ལ་གཟིགས་པས་དུར་ཁྲོད་ཀྱི་འདུ་ཤེས་བསྐྱེད་དེ། ཨེ་མ་སྐྱེ་དགུ་དག་ནི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་འགྱུར། །སྲིན་མོའི་ཚོགས་ལ་དགའ་བ་ཇི་ལྟར་རྙེད། །འདོད་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་ཡོད་མིན་ཡོན་ཏན་འཛིན། །གཏི་མུག་མུན་པས་རབ་བསྒྲིབས་བློ་གྲོས་ངན། །དཔེར་ན་བྱ་ནི་བྱ་རྒྱར་ཆུད་པ་བཞིན། །ནམ་ཡང་འབྱུང་བ་རྙེད་པར་འགྱུར་མ་ཡིན། །ཞེས་གསུངས་ཏེ། རྣམ་པ་སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་བརྟགས་ནས་མི་སྡུག་པར་བསྒོམས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཁང་བཟངས་ཀྱི་སྟེང་དུ་སོང་སྟེ། སངས་རྒྱས་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ཏེ་བལྟས་པས། བརྒྱ་བྱིན་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོ་སྡེ་བཞི་དང་། ཉི་ཟླ་གཉིས་ཀྱང་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ཞིང་འདུག་པར་མཐོང་ངོ་། །སྐར་མ་རྒྱལ་ཡང་ཤར་བར་མཐོང་ནས་འདུན་པ་ལ་སྨྲས་པ། ང་ཡི་བཀྲ་ཤིས་འདི་ནི་དོན་ཀུན་གྲུབ། །དོ་ནུབ་གདོན་མི་ཟ་བར་དོན་གྲུབ་ཀྱིས། །འདུན་པ་ཕྱི་བཤོལ་མ་བྱེད་ལ་གོར་དུ། །རྟ་རྒྱལ་རྒྱན་གྱིས་བརྒྱན་པ་ང་ལ་བྱིན། །དེས་སྨྲས་པ། གང་དུ་བཞུད་སྨྲས་པ། མངོན་པར་འབྱུང་བའོ། །དེ་ནས་འདུན་པས་ལན་མང་དུ་བཟློག་ཀྱང་། །འདོད་པའི་ཉེས་དམིགས་མང་དུ་གསུངས་ཏེ་མ་ཟློག་པ་དང་། ལྷའི་བུ་ཞི་བའི་བློ་གྲོས་དང་། བརྩེ་བ་བཀོད་པས། སེར་སྐྱ་བ་རྣམ་གཉིད་ལོག་ཅིང་། སྒྲ་མི་གྲག་པར་བྱས་སོ། །བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་ཀྱང་། འདུན་པ་ལ་རྟ་བྱིན་ཅིག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་ལྷའི་དབང་པོ་དང་རྒྱལ་ཆེན་བཞི་ཡང་སེར་སྐྱར་ལྷགས་སོ། །འདུན་པས་དུས་མ་ལགས་སོ། །ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་སྨྲས་པ། སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ཀྱི་དོན་ནི་ཚོལ་བ་ལ། །བྱང་ཆུབ་རྒ་ཤི་མེད་པའི་གནས་ཐོབ་ནས། །འགྲོ་བ་སྒྲོལ་ཞེས་ང་ཡིས་ཡུན་རིང་ནས། །སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་པ་དེ་ཡི་དུས་ལ་བབ། །ཅེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་། ལྷའི་བུ་ཡང་དག་སྐུལ་པོས་བསྐུལ་བ། སྟོབས་དང་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་འཕགས་པ་མྱུར་དུ་བཞེངས། །སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཉེན་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་སྒྲོལ། །ད་ནི་མངོན་པར་འབྱུང་བའི་དུས་ལ་བབ། ཅེས་བསྐུལ་ལོ། །དེ་ནས་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གྱིས་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ཀྱི་སྒོ་ཕྱེ། འདུན་པས་རྟ་སྔགས་ལྡན་བརྒྱན་ཏེ་ཕུལ་བ་ལ་ཆིབས་ཏེ། རྒྱལ་ཆེན་བཞིས་བཏེག་ནས་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་བྱོན་ཏེ། ཚངས་པ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གྱིས་ལམ་བསྟན། འོད་ཀྱིས་མུན་པ་བསལ། །མཆོད་པ་དང་། རོལ་མོ་སྣ་ཚོགས་དང་བཅས་ཏེ། གྱད་ཀྱི་ཡུལ་འདས་ཏེ། མཆོད་རྟེན་རྣམ་དག་གི་དྲུང་དུ་ཕྱིན་པ་དང་། རྟ་དང་རྒྱན། འདུན་པ་ལ་བྱིན་ཏེ། སླར་བཟློག་ཅིང་། དེར་མཆོད་རྟེན་བརྩིགས་པས། འདུན་པ་སླར་ལོག་པའི་མཆོད་རྟེན་ཟེར་རོ། །དེ་ནས་མཆོད་རྟེན་རྣམ་དག་གི་རྩར། ཉིད་ཀྱི་གཙུག་ཕུད་བཅད་པ། ལྷ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་གདན་དྲངས་ཏེ་མཆོད་རྟེན་བརྩིགས་པས། གཙུག་ཕུད་ཀྱི་མཆོད་རྟེན་ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། །དེ་ནས་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་བའི་ཚུལ་དང་ཀ་ཤི་ཀའི་གོས་མི་མཐུན་པས། རབ་བྱུང་གི་ཚུལ་དང་མཐུན་པའི་གོས་ཤིག་རྙེད་ན་རུང་སྙམ་པ་དང་། གནས་གཙང་མའི་ལྷ་རྔོན་པའི་གཟུགས་སུ་སྤྲུལ་པས། གོས་ངུར་སྨྲིག་ཕུལ་ལོ། །བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་ཀྱང་། ཀ་ཤི་ཀའི་གོས་རྣམས་དེ་ལ་བྱིན་ནོ། །དེས་ཀྱང་ལག་པ་གཉིས་ཀས་བླངས་ཏེ། སྤྱི་བོར་བཞག་ནས་མཆོད་པའི་ཕྱིར་ལྷའི་འཇིག་རྟེན་དུ་སོང་ངོ་། །དེ་འདུན་པས་མཐོང་ནས་མཆོད་རྟེན་བརྩིགས་པས། ངུར་སྨྲིག་བླངས་པའི་མཆོད་རྟེན་ཟེར་རོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་དོན་གྲུབ་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་ངོ་ཞེས་པའི་སྒྲ་འོག་མིན་གྱི་བར་དུ་གྲག་གོ། འདུན་པས་ཀྱང་རྟ་དང་རྒྱན་ཁྱེར་ཏེ། རྒྱལ་པོ་དང་བཙུན་མོའི་འཁོར་གྱི་མྱ་ངན་བསལ་ལོ། །དེ་ནས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས། གཙུག་ཕུད་བཅད། ངུར་སྨྲིག་བགོས་ཏེ་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་ནས། བྲམ་ཟེ་རིགས་ལྡན་ལ་སོགས་པའི་གནས་སུ་སོང་ནས་ཡངས་པ་ཅན་དུ་བྱོན་པ་དང་། སྒྱུ་རྩལ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་བུ་རིང་འཕུར་སློབ་མ་སུམ་བརྒྱ་ལ་ཅི་ཡང་མེད་པའི་སྐྱེ་མཆེད་སྟོན་པ་དེའི་དྲུང་དུ་ཕྱིན་ཏེ། སློབ་མར་ཁས་བླངས་ཏེ་བསླབས་པས་ཅི་ཡང་མེད་པའི་སེམས་མངོན་དུ་གྱུར་ཏེ། རིང་འཕུར་ལ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཆོས་འདི་ཙམ་ཞིག་ཁོང་དུ་ཆུད་དམ་སྨྲས་པ། དེ་བཞིན་ནོ། །བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་སྨྲས་པ། དེ་ཁོ་བོས་ཀྱང་ཁོང་དུ་ཆུད་དོ། །སྨྲས་པ། ངས་གང་ཤེས་པ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ཤེས། ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་གང་ཤེས་པ་ངས་ཤེས་ཀྱིས། གཉིས་ཀས་སློབ་མའི་ཚོགས་ལ་བསྟན་ནོ། །ཟེར་རོ། །དེ་ནས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་ཆོས་འདིས་ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བར་མི་འགྱུར་གྱིས། དེ་བས་ལྷག་པ་ཞིག་བཙལ་ལོ་སྙམ་སྟེ། རིམ་གྱིས་མ་ག་དྷར་སོང་སྟེ་རི་སྐྱ་བོར་བཞུགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་ཆུ་དྲོན་ཅན་གྱི་སྒོ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོའི་ཁབ་ཀྱི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དུ་ཞུགས་སོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་པ་རྣམས་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོ་ཤིན་ཏུ་དད་དེ་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་ཀྱི་ཤས་ཕུལ་བ་ཡང་མ་བཞེས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་རེངས་བྱེད་ཀྱི་བུ་ལྷག་སྤྱོད་སློབ་མ་བདུན་བརྒྱ་ལ་སྲིད་རྩེའི་སེམས་སྟོན་པ་མཐོང་ནས། བདག་འདི་ལྟ་བུའི་བརྟུལ་ཞུགས་དང་དཀའ་ཐུབ་བརྩམས་ནས། བདག་ཁྱད་པར་དུ་འཕགས་པའི་འདུ་ཤེས་བསྐྱེད་ཅིང་། ཟག་བཅས་ཀྱི་བསམ་གཏན་སུན་དབྱུང་ངོ་སྙམ་སྟེ། དེའི་སློབ་མར་ཁས་བླངས་ནས། མྱུར་དུ་སྲིད་རྩེའི་སེམས་ཁོང་དུ་ཆུད་ནས་སྔར་བཞིན་བརྗོད་ནས། འདིས་ནི་མྱང་འདས་སུ་འགྱུར་བ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ་ཞེས་སུན་ཕྱུང་སྟེ་སོང་ངོ་། །དེའི་ཚེ་ལྔ་སྡེ་ཡང་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་རྗེས་སུ་འབྲངས་ཏེ་རིམ་གྱིས་རི་ག་ཡའི་རྩེ་མོར། སྔར་མ་ཤེས་པའི་དཔེ་གསུམ་མངོན་དུ་གྱུར་ཏེ། ཆུ་བོ་ནེ་རཉྫ་ནའི་འགྲམ་དུ་ཕྱིན་ནས། བདག་སྙིགས་མ་ལྔའི་དུས་དམན་པ་ལ་མོས་པ། བརྟུལ་ཞུགས་ངན་པས་དག་པར་འཛིན་པ་སུན་དབྱུང་བའི་ཕྱིར། བརྟུལ་ཞུགས་དང་དཀའ་ཐུབ་བརྩམ་མོ་སྙམ་སྟེ། ལོ་དྲུག་ཏུ་མཁའ་ཁྱབ་ཀྱི་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་ལ་བཞག་སྟེ། ཏིལ་འབྲུ་གཅིག་དང་། རྒྱ་ཤུག་འབྲུ་གཅིག་དང་། འབྲས་འབྲུ་གཅིག་གིས་ལོ་དྲུག་ཏུ་དཀའ་བ་སྤྱད་དེ། དབུགས་རྒྱུ་བ་བཅད་དེ་བཞུགས་སོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་ལྷའི་བུ་ཁ་ཅིག་གིས་ལྷ་མོ་སྒྱུ་འཕྲུལ་ལ་གཞོན་ནུ་ཤིའོ་ཞེས་བརྗོད་པས། ལྷ་མོས་འོངས་པ་དང་། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་ལུས་བསྐམས་པ་དང་། ཤི་བ་དང་འདྲ་བ་མཐོང་ནས། བལྟམས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་ངའི་སྐྱེ་བའི་མཐའ་མ་འདིའོ་ཞེས་པའི་དམ་བཅའ་ཡང་མ་རྫོགས་དྲང་སྲོང་ནག་པོའི་ལུང་བསྟན་ཡང་མི་བདེན་ནོ། །ཞེས་སྨྲེ་སྔགས་འདོན་པ་ལ། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་སྨྲས་པ། ཉི་ཟླ་སྐར་ཚོགས་ས་ལ་ལྟུང་འགྱུར་སྲིད། །སོ་སོ་སྐྱེ་བོ་ཡིན་ཡང་ང་མི་འཆི། །དེ་ཕྱིར་འདི་ལ་མྱ་ངན་ཁྱོད་མ་བྱེད། །རིང་པོར་མི་ཐོགས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སངས་རྒྱས་མཐོང་། །ཞེས་སྨྲས་པས་དགའ་སྟེ་གནས་སུ་སོང་ངོ་། །གྲོང་གི་བ་ལང་རྫི་ལ་སོགས་པས་ཀྱང་རྣ་བར་ཤིང་བལ་བཅུག་ནས། སྣར་འབྱིན་པ་ལ་སོགས་བྱེད་དོ། །བདུད་ཀྱང་སྲོག་གཅེས་པར་གྱིས་ཤིག་ཅེས་པ་ལ་སོགས་སྙན་པར་སྨྲས་ཤིང་། གླགས་བཙལ་ཡང་མ་རྙེད་དོ། །དེ་ནས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་དཀའ་ཐུབ་ཀྱིས་གྲོལ་བར་འཛིན་པ་དགག་པའི་ཕྱིར། ཟས་རགས་པ་ཟོས་ལ་བྱང་ཆུབ་སྙིང་པོར་འགྲོའོ་སྙམ་སྟེ། ཟས་རགས་པ་བཟའོ་ཞེས་བརྗོད་པས་ལྔ་སྡེ་མ་དད་ནས་བཱ་ར་ཎ་སིར་སོང་ངོ་། །བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔས་ལེགས་སྐྱེས་མའི་བྲན་མོ་གྲུམ་མ་ཞེས་པའི་རོ་གསོ་རས་ཀྱིས་དཀྲིས་པ་དེ་བླངས་ཏེ། ལྷས་ལག་པ་བརྡབས་པའི་རྫིང་དུ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གྱིས་བཞག་པའི་རྡོ་ལེབ་ལ་བཀྲུས་སོ། །དེ་ངལ་ཏེ་རྫིང་ནས་འབྱུང་སྙམ་པ་ལ་བདུད་ཀྱིས་གད་པ་མཐོན་པོར་སྤྲུལ་པ་ལ། །ཤིང་གི་ལྷ་མོས་ཡལ་ག་སྨད་པ་ལ་འཇུས་ཏེ་བྱུང་ནས། ཤིང་སྒྲུབ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་དྲུད་དུ་ཕྱག་དར་ཁྲོད་ཀྱི་སྣམ་སྦྱར་བསྒྲུབས་ཤིང་གནས་གཙང་མའི་ལྷས་ཀྱང་། གོས་ངུར་སྨྲིག་ཕུལ་བ་བཞེས་ཏེ་སྤྱོད་ཡུལ་གྱི་གྲོང་དུ་ཞུགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་ལྷས་སྦྲན་ཏེ། ལེགས་སྐྱེས་མས་བ་སྟོང་གི་འོ་མ་ལན་བདུན་དུ་ཉིང་ཁུར་བྱས་པ་དང་། འབྲས་དང་འབྲུ་གསར་པ་བླུགས་ཏེ་བཙོས་པས། དེའི་ནང་དུ་དཔལ་བེའུ་ལ་སོགས་པའི་བཀྲ་ཤིས་པ་དག་སྣང་བས་དགའ་སྟེ། མཚན་མཁན་གྱིས་ཀྱང་བདུད་རྩི་ཐོབ་པར་ལུང་བསྟན་ནོ། །དེ་ནས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་མགྲོན་དུ་བོས་ནས་འོ་ཐུག་སྦྲང་རྩི་ཅན་གྱིས་གསེར་སྣོད་བཀང་སྟེ་ཕུལ་བས་བཞེས་ནས། ནེ་རཉྫ་ནའི་འགྲམ་དུ་སོང་སྟེ། ཟས་དང་ཆོས་གོས་བཞག་ནས་ཁྲུས་མཛད་པས། ལྷས་མཆོད་ཅིང་། ཁྲུས་ཆུ་ལྷས་ཁྱེར་ལ། སྐྲ་དང་། ཨག་ཚོམས་ལེགས་སྐྱེས་མས་ཁྱེར་ཏེ། ཆུ་དེའི་ཀླུ་མོས་ཕུལ་བའི་སེང་ཁྲི་ལ་བཞུགས་ཏེ། འོ་ཐུག་གསོལ་ནས། 时机已到，请不要制造障碍和不悦。国王说：我将赐予你所希望的，请留在宫中。菩萨说：请赐予我没有衰老和死亡的四种东西。他说：我没有赐予这些的能力，请要其他的吧。菩萨说：不被衰老和死亡的恐惧与衰败所侵扰。 天神啊，如果这四种殊胜之物不能赐予， 那么，请允许我祈求另一种殊胜之物，国王请听我说。 请让我从这里死后，不再经历转世和轮回。 然后国王说：愿你的愿望得以实现！这样说道。然后菩萨回到了自己的住所。国王也将此事告知释迦族人，并让他们守护。经过商议，在每个门的四个方向，都安排了五百名释迦族的年轻人，配备五百辆战车，每辆战车配备五百名小队士兵。释迦族的老人们则驻守在道路的十字路口和三岔路口。国王也进行着斋戒。那时，夜叉们和五百个食肉女的儿子们也说：今晚菩萨将要降生，所以努力进行供养。四大天王也想着抬起马车。三十三天的人们也在进行供养。菩萨显现了前世的四个愿望。天子等通过修行佛法，看到妃嫔眷属变得丑陋，生起了坟墓地的想法，说道：唉，众生真是痛苦啊！如何能从罗刹女的聚集地中获得快乐呢？欲望的功德并非真正的功德，而是执着。被愚痴的黑暗所遮蔽，智慧低下。譬如鸟儿落入罗网之中，永远无法逃脱。这样说着，通过三十二相观察后，观想不净。然后菩萨登上高楼，向所有佛陀顶礼，看到帝释天、四大天王和日月都在顶礼并坐着。看到星宿也升起来了，对侍者说：我的吉祥之事，一切都将成就。今晚不会被魔所食，一切都将成就。侍者不要拖延，快去备马。

The time has come, please do not create obstacles and displeasure. The king said: I will grant you what you desire, please stay in the palace. The Bodhisattva said: Please grant me the four things without aging and death. He said: I do not have the power to grant these, please ask for something else. The Bodhisattva said: Not to be disturbed by the fear and decay of aging and death, If, O god, these four supreme things cannot be granted, Then, please allow me to request another supreme thing, O king, please listen. After deliberation, at each of the four gates, five hundred Shakya youths were stationed, equipped with five hundred chariots, each chariot equipped with five hundred small unit soldiers. The elders of the Shakya clan were stationed at the crossroads and intersections of the roads. The king also observed a fast. At that time, the yakshas and the five hundred sons of flesh-eating women also said: Tonight the Bodhisattva will be born, so let us diligently make offerings. The Four Great Kings also thought of lifting the chariot. The people of the Thirty-Three Heavens were also making offerings. The Bodhisattva manifested the four vows of his previous lives. The son of the gods, through practicing the Dharma, saw the consorts and retinue becoming ugly, and generated the thought of a graveyard, saying: Alas, beings are truly suffering! How can one find joy in a gathering of rakshasa women? The merits of desire are not true merits, but attachments. Obscured by the darkness of ignorance, wisdom is low. Just as a bird is caught in a net, it will never escape. Thus he spoke, and after examining the thirty-two marks, he meditated on impurity. Then the Bodhisattva went to the top of the palace, prostrated to all the Buddhas, and saw that Indra, the Four Great Kings, and the sun and moon were all prostrating and sitting. Seeing that the star Regulus had also risen, he said to the attendant: My auspiciousness, everything will be accomplished. Tonight, I will not be eaten by demons, everything will be accomplished. Attendant, do not delay, quickly prepare the horse.

Give me the horse adorned with splendid ornaments. He said, "Where are you going?" He replied, "To renounce." Then, although Chandaka repeatedly dissuaded him, (the Bodhisattva) spoke of the many faults of desire and did not heed the dissuasion. The son of the gods, Peaceful Wisdom, and the arrangement of love, caused the Shakya people to fall asleep and made no sound. The Bodhisattva also said to Chandaka, "Give me the horse." At that time, Indra, the lord of the gods, and the four Great Kings also arrived at Kapilavastu. Chandaka said, "It is not the time." The Bodhisattva said, "To seek the benefit of sentient beings, having attained the state of enlightenment without old age or death, to liberate beings, the aspiration I have made for a long time, now the time has come." After saying this, the son of the gods urged with truthful words, "O noble one with strength and diligence, quickly arise and liberate all sentient beings in danger of suffering, now is the time to renounce." Thus he urged. Then, Indra opened the auspicious gate. Chandaka offered the horse adorned with mantras, (the Bodhisattva) mounted it, and the four Great Kings lifted him up, ascending into the sky. Brahma and Indra showed the way, light dispelling the darkness. Accompanied by offerings and various musical instruments, he passed beyond the land of the giants and arrived before the pure stupa. He gave the horse and ornaments to Chandaka, telling him to return. There, a stupa was built, called the Chandaka Return Stupa. Then, near the pure stupa, he cut off his topknot, and the gods invited it and built a stupa, called the Topknot Stupa. Then, because the attire of renunciation and the Kashi cloth were not suitable, he thought, "If only I could find a garment suitable for the attire of renunciation." At that time, a god from the Pure Abode manifested as a hunter and offered a saffron robe. The Bodhisattva also gave the Kashi cloths to him. He also took them with both hands, placed them on his head, and went to the world of the gods for offering. Chandaka saw this and built a stupa, called the Saffron Robe Receiving Stupa. At that time, the sound "Siddhartha has renounced" resounded up to Akanishta. Chandaka also took the horse and ornaments and went to the king and queen.
