Starting from the Well-Doer, up to King of Power, seventy-six thousand Buddhas were venerated, and the second countless eon was completed. The scripture says: "From the Buddha Well-Doer onwards, up to the Sage King of Power, a complete seventy-six thousand, I have worshipped all those Buddhas." Thus it is said. Then, starting from the Lamp-Maker, up to Light-Protecting, seventy-seven thousand were venerated, and the third countless eon was completed. The scripture says: "From the Buddha Lamp-Maker onwards, up to the Buddha Light-Protecting, a complete seventy-seven thousand, I have worshipped all those Buddhas." Thus it is said. From the Treasury: Up to the One with a Jewel Crest, the first countless eon was completed. Then, up to the Lamp-Maker, the second was completed. Then, up to Vipashyin, the third was said to be completed. Vipashyin, Lamp-Maker, Jewel Crest, appeared at the end of the three countless eons. The first was Shakyamuni. Thus it is said. Then, for a hundred great eons, in order to accumulate the cause of good marks, one is called the Bodhisattva Established. Then, after a hundred eons, the effort of praising the Buddha Star-King with one verse for seven days and circumambulating without interruption, gathers the accumulations of nine great eons. Then, after ninety-one great eons have passed, in the city of Endowed with Wealth, when the Buddha Light-Protecting appeared, up to becoming a Brahmin boy, the cause of the marks was completed. Then, the details of the twelve deeds, such as being born in the Noble White Lotus, should be known from the scriptures and the Sutra of Manifestation. The special characteristic is: In autumn and under the acacia tree, enlightenment is attained, all meditations rely on one. Therefore, the ordinary beings each accumulate the elements of liberation in three countless eons, and one subdues the demons in the evening. At noon, relying on the actual basis of the fourth dhyana, the paths of joining and so forth are generated in the continuum. At dawn, in a single instant when the light of dawn appears, the six perfections are completed. As it is said: "With compassion for all beings, giving is perfected by giving. Even if limbs are cut off with attachment, one does not waver, this is patience and discipline. Praising the Star-King is diligence, immediately after that is samadhi wisdom." Thus it is said.

Having perfected the six perfections, one becomes a Buddha, becoming the master of both the Dharmakaya and Rupakaya. From omniscience to utmost goodness, one turns the wheel of Dharma, wishing to enter nirvana without remainder. Secondly, the Mahayana tradition has three aspects: first, the method of generating the supreme Bodhicitta; in the middle, the method of accumulating merit for countless eons; and finally, the method of conquering the four maras and attaining Buddhahood. The method of generating the supreme Bodhicitta. Firstly, there are five aspects: the nature of Bodhicitta, its causes, benefits, divisions, and how to generate it. The first is: From the Ornament of the Sutras: "Great joy and great effort, great benefit and great arising, are the mind of a Bodhisattva, the arising of a mind endowed with two benefits." This means having the diligence of companions, armor, and application; the fruit is the accomplishment of self and other's benefit and the arising of great Bodhi; the object is the mind that focuses on great Bodhi and the benefit of sentient beings, which is said to be the characteristic of Bodhicitta. From the Ornament of Realization: "For the sake of others, one desires perfect enlightenment; this is as said in the sutras, explained through concise and extensive means." And in its commentary, it says: "For the sake of others' benefit, the desire that focuses on perfect enlightenment is the characteristic of Bodhicitta." The second is: Seeing the miracles of the Tathagata or Bodhisattvas, or hearing from others, hearing the Mahayana scriptures, seeing the decline of the Bodhisattva's teachings, seeing sentient beings of the degenerate age afflicted by defilements, these are the four faults; and having a complete lineage, being embraced by a virtuous friend, having great compassion, not fearing the suffering of samsara, these are the four causes; and self-power, other-power, causal-power, and applicational-power, these are the four powers, totaling twelve, arising either individually or in combination. In the Bodhisattva-bhumi, it is said to arise from four causes, four conditions, and four powers. In the Ornament of the Sutras: "The power of friends, the power of causes, the root power, the power of hearing, the power of habituation to virtue, from instability to stability arises, the Bodhicitta taught by others is explained." These are the causes of conventional Bodhicitta, and closely attending the perfect Buddhas, accumulating merit and wisdom.

Because it arises from non-conceptual wisdom, it is considered sacred. This is an explanation of the cause of ultimate bodhicitta. In summary, as it is said: First, due to the power of lineage, the seed of compassion is awakened; through perfect application and intention, bodhicitta is fully grasped. Just like that. The third is: the fruit of birth is wonderful, the intermediate fruit is the wish-fulfilling jewel, obtained in the heart, so desires fall like rain. The ultimate fruit is the attainment of Buddhahood, etc., which is inconceivable. As it is said in the "Glorious Gift" Sutra: The merit of bodhicitta, if it had a form, would fill the entire space, it would be even more than that. Fourth, distinguishing from the perspective of nature, there are two types: aspirational bodhicitta and practical bodhicitta. Distinguishing from the perspective of coarse and subtle, there are two types: those heard through language and those heard through nature. Distinguishing from the perspective of object, there are two types: conventional bodhicitta and ultimate bodhicitta. Distinguishing from the perspective of stages, bodhicitta in each stage has four different aspects: aspiration, higher intention, purity, and fruition. Similarly, obstacles are also removed. As it is said, there are four types. Distinguishing through companions and metaphors, there are twenty-two types, namely earth, gold, moon, fire. Or it is said that arising is like the earth. In summary, thirteen types are determined. There are ten types of bodhicitta, namely: thus, truly received, arising from language, obtained from nature, uncertain, certain, not completely pure, completely pure, having little power, having power, fruit not completely accomplished, fruit completely accomplished. Among these, truly received, arising from language, refers to all bodhisattvas who have not entered the truly faultless state. Obtained from nature refers to bodhisattvas who have entered the truly faultless state, and those Shravakas who have fully vowed to become Buddhas. Uncertain refers to those who are not of that lineage, and those of that lineage who have the nature of turning away from bodhicitta. Certain bodhicitta is to be understood as the opposite of turning away from that. Not completely pure refers to, for example, some people who follow others, or fear the king, or fear thieves.
