Thus it is. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "When the five faculties are transformed, they enter into all meanings and all qualities, twelve hundredfold." The meaning is: In the first bhumi, the five faculties, such as the essence of the eye faculty, are transformed from impure states to pure states. Then, each faculty enters into all six objects, and knows all six objects. Just as the eye knows all six objects, similarly, each of the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind faculties knows all six objects. As stated in the Avatamsaka Sutra: The bodhisattva Sudhana said to the spiritual friend, the virtuous maiden Samantabhadri: "I know the names of the Dharma, the non-abiding mandala, and I have also attained the samadhi called 'Without Beginning.' Here, I know all dharmas without obstruction. The eye knows all, the ear knows all, the nose knows all, the tongue knows all, the body knows all, the mind knows all. The blessing of knowing all is unobstructed, the appearance of knowing all is unobstructed, and entering into the power of knowing all is unobstructed." Thus it is. Just as each faculty enters into all objects, similarly, because the objects and faculties are of the same essence, each object also appears in all six objects. For example, a single object like form can also be all objects like sound. As stated in the Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way: "Because emptiness is possible, everything is possible." And in the Praise of Dharmadhatu: "I prostrate to whatever it may be." That is the meaning. All conventional truths fall into extremes and are limited, so one faculty only enters into one object, such as a single object like form, and it is only the object of that faculty, not the object of other faculties. Ultimate truth does not fall into extremes and is without bias; it is the Dharma of the Middle Way, so all dharmas of ultimate truth are, and all dharmas of ultimate truth are one Dharma of ultimate truth. In the commentary on the Chapter on Analysis, the reasoning of the Middle Way is quoted: "One thing is the essence of all things, and all things are the essence of one thing. Whoever sees the suchness of one thing, also sees the suchness of all things." That is the meaning. Each faculty

Each also produces one hundred and twelve qualities. As stated in the Avatamsaka Sutra: In one instant, one moment, one snap of the fingers, one attains a hundred samadhis and enters into them, sees a hundred Buddhas, and truly knows their blessings, shakes a hundred worlds, goes to a hundred Buddha lands, illuminates a hundred worlds, completely ripens a hundred sentient beings, abides for a hundred kalpas, deeply enters into a hundred kalpas of the past and future ends, distinguishes a hundred Dharma doors, shows a hundred bodies, and on each body, truly shows the diligent aspect of a hundred Bodhisattva retinues. Thus and so on. Therefore, one eye faculty obtains a hundred different samadhis, and enters into them, sees a hundred Buddhas, shows a hundred bodies, and on each body, shows a hundred Bodhisattva retinues surrounding it, thus producing one hundred and twelve qualities, similarly, each faculty also produces each of those one hundred and twelve qualities. From the single Dharmata body, from the profound samadhi, the limitless appearances of the three times are displayed, and countless emanations are emitted. As stated in the Avatamsaka Sutra: The Bodhisattva Norzang saw the Bhikshu Ocean Banner, as follows: Then, Norzang, possessing the wealth of Dharma, broadly contemplates the conduct of the Buddha's son, gradually covering, expanding, and filling, seeking the Bhikshu Ocean Banner, the Dharmakaya pervades the limits of space, filling the Dharmadhatu with the magical transformations of wisdom, skilled in emitting countless emanations, abiding in the aspect of walking in a certain place of walking, the body is upright, manifesting mindfulness, the breath has no inward or outward movement, unwavering, from the samadhi without elaboration, one sees the emission of boundless and countless emanations. With the power of inconceivable conduct, in each moment in the mind, completely ripening sentient beings, offering to all Sugatas, purifying all Buddha lands, accomplishing and averting the happiness and suffering of beings, and delighting all the wise ones.
