Those completely degenerated things cause beings to degenerate. Similarly, in the "Namasangiti," the Bhagavan Vajradhara, the unchanging wisdom, the essence of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, is extensively explained by the Tathagata with one hundred and sixty-two verses, together with supplications. Among them, from "Then, the glorious Vajradhara" to "Having bowed down, he stood before him," are sixteen verses of supplication. From "Bhagavan Shakyamuni" to "Bhagavan said, 'Well done,'" are six verses of response. Again, from "Then, Bhagavan" to "Greatly beholding the great family crest," are two verses of beholding the six realms. From "Possessing the six secret mantra kings" to "ཨ་ར་པ་ཙ་ན་ཡ་ཏེ་ན་མ། (Tibetan)(Sanskrit Devanagari)(Sanskrit Romanization)(Literal Chinese meaning)," are three verses of attaining complete and perfect enlightenment through the net of illusion. Thus, from "Thus, the Buddha Bhagavan" to "The supreme of the Mahayana path," are four verses praising the great mandala of the Vajradhatu. From "Buddha, great illuminator" to "Great Vajra hook and lasso," are twenty-five verses (each verse missing one word) praising the wisdom of the utterly pure realm of Dharma. From "Vajra Terrifier, causing terror" to "The best of those endowed with sound," are ten verses (each verse with one extra word) praising mirror-like wisdom. From "True selflessness is suchness" to "Wisdom without delusion, light extremely clear," are forty-two verses praising individual discriminating wisdom. From "The most excellent fulfillment of desires" to "Great jewel, precious crest," are twenty-four verses praising the wisdom of equality. From "To be realized by all Buddhas" to...

The ultimate of "Glorious Manjushri" is the fifteen verses praising the wisdom of accomplished activity. From "Supreme Giver Vajra, I prostrate to you" to the ultimate of "Wisdom Body, I prostrate to you," are the five verses praising the wisdom of the five Tathagatas. These one hundred and sixty-two verses arise from these vehicles and are the essence of the Bhagavan Vajradhara. It is Samantabhadra, the most excellent, the supreme unchanging great bliss, the ultimate of the realm of space, the all-illuminating, the accumulation of the collection of pure wisdom, holding a profound and vast form, self and other luminous, the beginningless and endless self, free from the defilement of conceptual thoughts such as self-grasping and the grasped, is constant, is without universal affliction, knows the nature of all dharmas, is liberated from the habits of samsara, is free from going and coming, is the nature of non-proliferation, is the spontaneously arising and increasing samadhi, and is the support of various dharanis, like a virtuous vase, like a wish-fulfilling tree, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, fulfilling the wishes of all sentient beings, is not even the object of practice for the great Thubpas, is the great mass of sentient beings, the supremely peaceful one, is like an illusion, like a dream, like a mirage, like a beautiful sound, truly gathered, is the self-realization of the wisdom of the yogi to be offered by the three realms, this supreme unchanging bliss is not to be abandoned by the yogi. This is the definitive understanding of the Tathagatas. Thus spoke Avalokiteshvara. Therefore, the ultimate definitive meaning of all sutras and tantras, the five fundamental wisdoms, in this recitation of names, through the six classes of Ushnishas and the net of illusion, and the great mandala of the Vajradhatu, and wisdom, and the door of praising the wisdom of the five victors, is sung as the essence of all vehicles, the root of all tantras, the ultimate of all sutras and tantras, the pursuit of those who desire liberation.

Gathering all correct actions together is the basis. This is because the great wisdom abiding in the body itself is the nature of limitless qualities. Whatever qualities there are, taking them as the reason, calling it by various names from the present point of view, is the correct name in the true sense. As long as there is Alaya consciousness, Alaya consciousness will make distinctions. Therefore, the Alaya wisdom of all sentient beings is also different. For example, space itself has no difference, but there is the space of pottery, the space of copperware, and the space of goldware. When the seeds of the two obscurations, that is, the Alaya consciousness, are exhausted and enlightenment is attained, just as all water droplets flow into the ocean, all Alaya wisdom will merge into one. The Ornament of Sutras says: Before entering the pure river, the places are different, and the water is also different. The water is small and the functions are different, becoming the resources for small creatures in the water. Once it enters the ocean, all places become one, small is also large and the same, the functions merge into one, and the numerous creatures dwelling in the water are constantly used. When not abiding in the position of the Buddha, the supports are different, the wisdom is different, the realization is small and the functions are different, becoming the constant resources for a few sentient beings. If one abides in the position of the Buddha, then all those supports become one, the realization is great and the same, the activities merge into one and constantly become the resources for vast sentient beings. This is the meaning of what is said. Therefore, even the Bodhisattvas abiding on the great earth, due to the residue of Alaya consciousness, the cause of the ground of ignorance habits, and the collection of causes of uncontaminated karma, consciously take birth as various different mind-made bodies. Once one attains enlightenment, then he is all the Tathagatas. One is the nature of all, and all is the nature of one. Therefore, all the manifestations of the great self-born wisdom are the transformations of Alaya wisdom, the self-appearance of Mahamudra, the self-nature of Mahayana, and the experience of the Great Madhyamaka.
