The aggregates of Dharma, the aggregates of bliss, and the infinite aggregates of wisdom are also, in order, the Sambhogakaya, Dharmakaya, Sukhakaya, and infinite wisdom bodies. Therefore, it is not appropriate to argue about the number of bodies being many or few. The body of conventional truth spoken by the Buddha is like saying a stump is a person, mistaking a rope for a snake, and mistaking a mirage for water. The manifestation of the Dharmakaya, the appearance of the Rupakaya in the ultimate truth, is taken by sentient beings who grasp at reality as a real body and named as such. This part is the body of conventional truth, the body of expression, the body that expresses, and so on. Just as there is no person on a stump, the Buddha himself does not have even a tiny particle of compounded reality. The Uttaratantra Shastra says: "Uncompounded and spontaneously accomplished, not realized by other causes, endowed with wisdom, compassion, and power, is the Buddha who possesses two benefits." Also, as the Diamond Sutra says: "Those who see me in form, those who seek me in sound, are on the wrong path and cannot see the Tathagata. The Buddhas are the Dharmakaya, the guides are like the Dharmata." The meaning is, for example, just as seeing a stump as a person prevents one from seeing the stump that is not taken as a person, so too, clinging to the real body of phenomena prevents one from seeing the body of reality, the Dharmata. If you want to see the true Buddha who is not clung to as real, you should look at the Dharmakaya. Just as the Bodhisattva Sadāprarudita saw many Buddhas in Samadhi, and when he arose from Samadhi, he clung to them as compounded real bodies, when he asked the Bodhisattva Dharmapāla, all the Buddhas were introduced as the body of Dharmata, the Suchness. For a yogi, when and how does one's own Alaya-jnana Dharmakaya manifest? During the time of faith and practice, it appears like seeing a small portion of the moon on the fourteenth day of the dark moon. When one enters the Bhumi, one sees it gradually increasing like the moon after that. The Dharmadhatu Stotra says: "Just as on the fourteenth day of the dark moon, a small portion of the moon is seen, so too, for those who have faith in the supreme vehicle, the body of the Buddha is

Slightly appears. Like the waxing moon, Moment by moment, it is seen to grow. Similarly, those who have entered the bhumis, Gradually, gradually, it is seen to grow. Like the fifteenth day of the waxing moon, The moon becomes full. Similarly, when the bhumis are exhausted, The Dharmakaya is also complete and clear. Similarly, from the Root Tantra of the Kalachakra: "As the moon rises gradually, It becomes complete with its parts. The disappearance of shadows is completeness, The moon is neither diminished nor complete. Likewise, wisdom arises gradually, It becomes complete with the bhumis. The disappearance of afflictions, etc., is completeness, Wisdom is neither diminished nor complete." Therefore, the primordial wisdom Dharmakaya, with the manner of all qualities being primordially complete, exists in the state of the basis sentient beings like a full moon without any waning. In the state of learning the path, it exists like the gradual appearance of parts such as the first and second days of the waxing moon. At the time of fruition, becoming a Buddha, it exists like a full moon on the fifteenth day. This is the meaning. Then, how and by whom is this seen? The clear light seen by the initial practitioner without clairvoyance, both the object of sight and the act of seeing, are the flesh eye. Then, the clear light seen after obtaining clairvoyance, both the object of sight and the act of seeing, are the divine eye. Then, the clear light of the first bhumi, both the object of sight and the act of seeing, are the Buddha eye. From the second bhumi onwards, the clear light seen by the Bodhisattva, both the object of sight and the act of seeing, are the eye of wisdom. The clear light seen by the Buddha, both the object of sight and the act of seeing, are the eye of knowledge. Thus, the single primordial Tathagata is established as the five eyes in the stages of the path. From the Stainless Light: "Here, first, the yogi who is an initial practitioner, without clairvoyance, sees various things with the flesh eye. Then, by virtue of the boundary of clairvoyance, he sees with the divine eye. Then, by virtue of the boundary of detachment from attachment, he sees with the Buddha eye. Then, by virtue of the boundary of the Bodhisattva, he sees with the eye of wisdom. Then, by virtue of the mind of the perfectly complete Buddha, he sees with the eye of knowledge. Liberated from all that remains." Therefore, the five eyes of the Tathagata, such as the flesh eye, are for the sake of seeing emptiness, other sentient beings
