Empty houses appear as if without obstructions. Moreover, if this mind is cultivated for a long time, at midnight on a certain night, one can see markets, cities, and relatives and friends from a great distance. Sometimes one can even hear the sound of speech, and even see people outside as if separated by a barrier. These are auspicious signs, but they are not the attainment of a noble being. If one thinks that one has become a noble being, one will fall into the realm of wrong paths. Thus it is said. From this point on, the method of observing the posture of the body, the ten signs, luminosity, and so on, and revealing it to others, it is very important to advise others to keep it strictly secret. Thus, the manifestation of the wisdom of the alaya, the self-appearance of the Great Seal, the self-nature of the Great Vehicle, the experience of the Great Madhyamaka, the samadhi called the Appearance of Profound Prajnaparamita, should recognize all kinds of forms as the ultimate mind.

Until one attains samadhi, all sounds of inanimate objects are devoid of letters, and the speech of sentient beings, as well as the sounds of emptiness in inner and outer space, arise with various truths and falsehoods, and various pleasant and unpleasant sounds. When the seed of obscuration, one wind-energy channel ceases, and one attains the instantaneous samadhi of unchanging bliss, gradually one obtains the divine ear of the deities, the Tathagatagarbha, the Alaya-jnana. As the pure aspect increases more and more, all sounds become understandable, and only true and pleasing sounds arise. One hears and understands all the languages of all beings, including the languages of the gods. Moreover, one is able to speak in the respective languages of as many different kinds of beings as there are. Within samadhi, the higher and lower vehicles, abandonment and realization, and the various dharmas of the stages and paths are perfectly abundant. Hearing these from emptiness and so on, even without an external explicit guru, an internal definitive guru arises from within. This is what has arisen from the oral instructions of the previous noble masters. When the seed of obscuration, one wind-energy channel ceases, one is able to teach various dharmas to various different beings in various different languages. That is: the languages of the gods, the languages of the nagas, and so on; the sounds of boats and vases, and the languages of humans; as many languages as there are of all beings, I teach the Dharma in all those languages. This is the meaning of what was said. Introducing the Various Scents of Wisdom: Third, introducing the various scents of wisdom: scent should be understood as samadhi. As it says in the Two Examinations Tantra: "Scent is a symbol; the scent of garlic is the first; then again the scent of a vulture; the scent of camphor and Malaya." The meaning is: the Alaya, the Great Seal, the Great Madhyamaka, the Great Vehicle, the profound Prajnaparamita, the Tathagatagarbha itself, when manifested through the union of binding actions, when practicing the six-limbed yoga, is: the scent of garlic, the scent of a vulture, the scent of camphor, the scent of sandalwood and Malaya, white sandalwood, spices, Mongolian white sandalwood, mixed incense, Chinese incense, and so on, as many scents of various incenses as there are, as well as feces, urine, pus, blood, and rotten meat.
