Similarly, the infinite aggregate of form is my supreme emanation body. The meaning of this is that the infinite aggregate of form is the infinite emanation body. Similarly, the infinite aggregates of sound, dharma, bliss, and wisdom are, in order, the infinite enjoyment body, dharma body, bliss body, and wisdom body. In that case, it is not appropriate to argue about the number of bodies. What the Buddha said about the conventional body is like saying that a tall pole is a person, a rope is a snake, and a mirage is water. The appearance of the Dharma body, when the form body of ultimate truth appears, is taken as a real body by those with object-fixation, and is labeled as such. This sign is called the conventional body, the symbolic body, and the signified body, and so on. Just as there is no person on a tall pole, the Buddha himself does not have any compounded real things, not even a particle. As it says in the Uttaratantra: "Uncompounded and spontaneously accomplished, not realized by other causes, endowed with wisdom, love, and power, is the Buddha who possesses two benefits." Also, as it says in the Vajra Cutter Sutra: "Those who see me in form, those who know me in sound, have gone astray and entered the wrong path; that body will not see me." The Buddhas are the Dharma body, and the guides are like the Dharma nature. The meaning of this is, for example, just as seeing a tall pole as a person does not see the tall pole that is not labeled as a person, so seeing the body of a phenomenon as real does not see the body of the Dharma nature of reality. If you want to see the true Buddha who is not labeled as real, you should look at the body of Dharma nature. Just as the Bodhisattva Sadāprarudita saw many Buddhas in samadhi, and when he arose from samadhi, he grasped them as real bodies compounded by causes and conditions, and when he asked the Bodhisattva Dharmodgata, the Bodhisattva Dharmodgata introduced all the Buddhas as the body of the Dharma nature Tathagata. For a yogi, when and how does his own alaya-wisdom Dharma body manifest? At the time of aspiration, it manifests like the slightly visible moon on the fourteenth of the waxing moon, attaining

After that, it is seen to gradually increase like the waxing moon. As it says in the *Dharmadhatu Praise*: Just as on the fourteenth of the dark moon, the moon is seen slightly, likewise, for those who are fond of the supreme vehicle, the body of the Buddha appears slightly. Just as the waxing moon is seen to increase moment by moment, likewise, for those who have entered the bhumis, it is seen to gradually increase. Just as on the fifteenth of the bright moon, the moon becomes full, likewise, when the end of the bhumis is reached, the dharmakaya also becomes complete and clear. Similarly, in the *Root Tantra of the Kalachakra* it says: Just as the moon rises gradually, it becomes complete with its parts, the disappearance of shadows is completeness, the moon is neither diminished nor complete. Likewise, wisdom arises gradually, it becomes complete with its bhumis, the disappearance of afflictions and so on is completeness, wisdom is neither diminished nor complete. Thus, the alaya-jnana-dharmakaya, in the manner of all qualities being complete from the beginning, is like the full moon without waning at the time of the ground of sentient beings. At the time of the path of learning, it is like seeing the parts gradually, such as the first and second days of the waxing moon. At the time of the fruition of Buddhahood, it is like the full moon. That is the meaning. Furthermore, how and by whom is it seen? The clear light seen by the beginner without clairvoyance, both the seen and the seer are the eye of the flesh. Then, the clear light seen after obtaining clairvoyance, both the seen and the seer are the divine eye. Then, the clear light of the first bhumi, both the seen and the seer are the Buddha eye. From the second bhumi onwards, the clear light of the bodhisattva, both the seen and the seer are the eye of wisdom. The clear light of the Buddha, both the seen and the seer are the eye of jnana. Thus, the one tathagatagarbha of the alaya, the stages of the path are established as the five eyes. From the *Stainless Light*: Here, first, the yogi who is a beginner sees various things with the eye of flesh without clairvoyance. Then, by the power of the boundary of clairvoyance, he sees with the divine eye. Then, by the power of the boundary of detachment from attachment, he sees with the Buddha eye. Then, by the power of the boundary of the bodhisattva, he sees with the eye of wisdom. Then, by the power of the mind of the perfectly complete Buddha
