It is called Mahayana, this Mahayana is like the sky, this Mahayana opens the door to immeasurable sentient beings, this Mahayana has no coming, going, or abiding, this Mahayana has no beginning, end, or middle, excellent! As it says in the Compendium: "Why is this called the Great Vehicle of Enlightenment? Because it causes all sentient beings to be free from suffering. This vehicle is like the sky, an immeasurable great palace, it is the supreme vehicle that obtains joy, happiness, and bliss." As it says in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Because its object is vast, as well as the two accomplishments, wisdom, diligence, and effort, as well as the great true accomplishment, the Buddha's activity is great, because it possesses the seven great qualities, therefore it is manifestly called the Great Vehicle." Its meaning is: Focusing on all dharmas is vastness of object, accomplishing the two benefits is vastness of accomplishment, realizing the selflessness of all dharmas is vastness of wisdom, diligently striving for three countless eons is vastness of diligence, although taking birth according to one's wish, one is not defiled by the faults of existence, this is vastness of skillful means, truly accomplishing the ten powers and so on is vastness of accomplishment, the twelve deeds are the Buddha's great activity, because the seventh possesses inseparability like water and moisture, it is the Great Vehicle. The hero Saraha said: Whatever inconceivable self-born wisdom is meditated upon, that is what meditates upon all the results without exception. This is the path of the supreme essence of the Great Vehicle, because the result is made into the path, it originally abides in the result. Thus, the Great Vehicle possessing the seven branches, also in the Six Dharmas of Niguma: Whatever is inexpressible, spontaneously accomplished, unconditioned, the union of great bliss, the Sambhogakaya appears to tame whatever is to be tamed, the great Vajradhara possessing the three bodies and seven branches, spoke thus of the unborn self-sound of the Great Vehicle. The meaning of what was said is, the manifestation of the primordial wisdom of Samantabhadra, the self-appearance of the Great Seal, the great awakening of the Great Vehicle, the experience of the Great Madhyamaka Madhyamaka, the transformation of the Tathagatagarbha, the profound swaying of Other-Emptiness, the play of the clear light Dharmakaya, Prajna.

Because it is the Samadhi called Profound Manifestation. It is the self-nature of the Mahayana. It is the vastness of the Mahayana. It is the great pervasiveness of the Mahayana. All must be recognized in the mind of meaning. Recognizing That as Emptiness. Fourth, recognizing that as emptiness is a brief exposition of Manjushri's own view. In "Stainless Light," it says: Neither existent nor nonexistent, neither existent nor nonexistent. Nor is it the nature of both. From freedom from extremes comes liberation. That is known by the Madhyamika. The meaning of this is: Alaya consciousness, wisdom, Mahamudra. Great emptiness. Mahayana. The profound essence of the Sugata, the Prajnaparamita, that is, the union of binding practices, when the six-limbed yoga is practiced, what manifests is the emptiness that is free from all extremes of elaboration. And it is also the extremely pure mind that transcends the two extremes of permanence and annihilation, deep, peaceful, free from elaboration, luminous, and uncompounded. In the Root Tantra of the Kalachakra, it says: Transcending existence and non-existence. Non-duality, existence and non-existence are exhausted. Emptiness and compassion are inseparable. Vajra Yoga is great bliss. Transcending the nature of subtle particles. Abandoning the Dharma of emptiness. Liberated from permanence and annihilation. Vajra Yoga is without lineage. What is said is that emptiness, which is free from all extremes, is Vajra Yoga, great bliss, the ultimate truth alone. All extremes and elaborations are merely conventional truth. The two extremes are: the extreme of existence and non-existence, the extreme of things and non-things, the extreme of emptiness and non-emptiness, and the two extremes of permanence and annihilation, and so on. The four extremes are: the extreme of existence and the extreme of non-existence, the extreme of both existence and non-existence, and the extreme of neither. The eight extremes are: the extreme of cessation and the extreme of arising and the extreme of annihilation, and the extreme of permanence, and the extreme of coming and, the extreme of going and, the extreme of different meanings and, the extreme of the same meaning. The eight worldly dharmas are also the eight extremes. In short, the swaying of Alaya consciousness, the words of concepts, the joys and sorrows of discrimination, the ocean of samsara, all the dualities of conventional truth, are the objects, extremes, and elaborations that have become the nature of faults. The ultimate truth that is free from these, Alaya consciousness, wisdom, Mahamudra. Mahayana. Bliss.
