It is said that the saying "Gomde Kumche (sgom sde sku mched)" was circulated in Garchen (sgar chen). Note: According to the oral account of Chokyong Kyab (chos skyong skyabs), the ancestors of Beri Chung She (be ri chung shes), Beri Senge Milog (be ri seng ge mi log) from Lower Beri had a conflict with the Gelugpas, and during this person's lifetime, they went to Kumbum Monastery. He issued good decrees and granted the land of Rezi (re'dzi). They lived there happily. It is said that: "They are the descendants of those with yellow hats, it is the kindness of Beri Senge." It is said that this saying was circulated. Beri was also the most powerful minister of Nangchen (nang chen). Note: The sons born to Sekar (dkhar bza') were: Namkha Zangpo (nam mkha' bzang po), Chokyong Zangpo (chos skyong bzang po), Sonam Zangpo (bsod nams bzang po), and Tashi Zangpo (bkra shis bzang po). Namkha Zangpo became the king of Yasum Toma (ya gsum stod ma), and his political power greatly increased. Gomde (sgom sde) became known as Yasum Toma. The permanent residence was Yasum Tang (ya gsum thang) in Taglung Phodo (stag lung pho mdo). The boundaries of the land are: in the north, the great shaded cliff of Namtso (gnam mtsho), and in the south, the Bang-ngu (sbang ngu) bridgehead of Shak (shag). Namkha Zangpo's sons were Senge Gyaltsen (seng ge rgyal mtshan) and Sangye Gyaltsen (sangs rgyas rgyal mtshan). Among them, Senge Gyaltsen ruled the subjects according to Dharma. Gomde Toma's politics became unparalleled. The sons of Tashi Zangpo above, the sons of Hormo (hor mos), were Gur Gon (gur mgon) and Rin Gon (rin mgon). Rin Gon became a monk under Gosri Chopal Drakpa (go shrI chos dpal grags pa), and listened to and received all the teachings of the lineage. Residing on the throne of Nangso Chenmo (nang so chen mo), Gur Gon administered the affairs of state in Kumbum. These two brothers invited Gyalwang Jangchub Dorje (rgyal dbang byang chub rdo rje) and offered immeasurable offerings. Among Gur Gon's two sons, Sonam Pelden (bsod nams dpal ldan) was given the position of Gosri and enthroned on the Dharma seat. The sons of Kunga Drakpa (kun dga' grags pa) were: Kunga Gyalpo (kun dga' rgyal po), Sonam Namgyal (bsod nams rnam rgyal), and Sonam Tsering (bsod nams tshe ring). Sonam Namgyal was taken care of by Shamar Chokyi Wangchuk (zhwa dmar chos kyi dbang phyug), was given the position of Kwanting Gosri (kwan ting go shrI), and ascended the Dharma seat. Kunga Gyalpo, in order to fulfill his vows, built three types of "Bum" (Prajnaparamita Sutra in One Hundred Thousand Verses) made of gold and silver: large, medium, and small. His sons were Lodro Gyalpo (blo gros rgyal po) and Ongza Mar Rab Lo (ngom bza' mar rab lo), born in the Earth Pig year (of the tenth Rabjung cycle). Gosri Karma Rabten (go shrI karma rab brtan) were born in the Water Rabbit year. Lodro Gyalpo became the patron of about thirteen newly built monasteries and made all the subjects abide by the ten virtues. He invited Drigung Shabdrung ('bri gung zhabs drung) and offered immeasurable offerings.
