At this crucial moment of great importance, do not fear the assembly of self-displaying peaceful and wrathful deities. Speak these words aloud and go forth remembering their meaning. Thus, no matter what fearful sights arise, you will surely recognize them as self-displaying, do not forget this. O son/daughter of noble family, at the time when your body and mind separate, the appearance of the pure Dharmata will be subtle and clear, bright and shimmering, the self-nature radiant and awe-inspiring, like a mirage moving on a summer plain, flames will appear one by one. Do not be afraid, do not panic, do not be terrified. That is the self-radiance of your own Dharmata, so recognize it. Within the light, the self-sound of the Dharmata will be intense and thunderous, like a thousand thunders roaring at once. That too is the self-sound of your own Dharmata, so do not be afraid, do not panic, do not be terrified. You have a habitual mental body, but you do not have a material body made of flesh and blood, so no matter what sound, light, or rays appear, they will not harm you, you will not die. It is enough to recognize that as your own self-display. Recognize that it is the Bardo. O son/daughter of noble family, if you do not recognize self-display now, then no matter how much you have practiced in the human realm, if you do not encounter this instruction, you will be terrified by the light, startled by the sound, and frightened by the rays. If you do not understand the key to this instruction, because you do not recognize sound, light, and rays, you will wander in Samsara. O son/daughter of noble family, for three and a half days, your consciousness will faint, and when you awaken from the faint, you will have the illusion of something having happened to you, so you must recognize the Bardo. At the same time, a dull white light of the gods will also appear in front of you, side by side with the light. At that time, due to your negative karma, you will feel fear and terror towards that dark blue light, the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, which is full of radiance and splendor, and you will flee; You will feel a sense of joy towards that dull white light of the gods, at that moment, Do not be afraid, do not be terrified of that bright and dazzling dark blue light, That clear and radiant supreme light, that is the light of the Tathagata, called the Wisdom of the Dharmadhatu; Generate faith and devotion towards it! It is the light of compassion of the Bhagavan Vairocana Buddha and consort. Generate the thought "I take refuge" and pray! That is the Bhagavan Vairocana Buddha and consort coming to welcome you into the dangerous straits of the Bardo. That is the light of compassion of Vairocana. Do not rejoice in that dull white light of the gods! That is the path of light accumulated by your intense ignorance. Do not be attached to it! Do not be infatuated with it! If you are attached to it, you will wander in the realm of the gods, Revolving in the six realms, it will become an obstacle that blocks the path to liberation, so do not look at it with your eyes; Generate devotion towards that dark blue light full of radiance, Generate a strong longing for Vairocana Buddha and consort, recite this prayer, imitate me and pray! Alas! When wandering in samsara due to intense ignorance, On the path of light, the clear wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, Pray to the Bhagavan Vairocana to guide the way, Pray to the supreme Queen of the Realm of Space to support from behind, Pray to be rescued from the terrifying straits of the Bardo, Pray to be led to the ground of perfect and complete enlightenment. By praying with such intense devotion, Vairocana Buddha and consort dissolve into rainbow light in your heart, The central region is pitch black.
