Where does bliss arise? If the channels are good and the body is in good condition, then the bliss of relying on (a consort) arises between the throat and the crown of the head. Mostly, it vanishes from the heart. Then, the method of spreading it is: thrusting both fists straight forward from the heart, exhaling forcefully, and visualizing bliss spreading throughout the body from the crown of the head. Simultaneously, vigorously perform the four body-shaking movements. By doing so, the bindu will spread throughout all the channel openings. After that, train in vase breathing. If the bindu mixes with the air, then it is possible to accomplish the task. Then, by remaining for a long time in the unaltered, primordially pure state, all obstacles will never arise, and the samadhi of bliss and emptiness will arise. After that, dedicate the merit to unsurpassed enlightenment. This is called the self-body method. If by this, bliss greatly increases, then one will attain the supreme samadhi of uncontaminated bliss and emptiness. Especially for a monk who upholds the Vinaya, if he relies on another's body, then others' slander will arise. Therefore, one should strive in this self-body method. The third general meaning: the guidance on the other-body method has six parts: examining the mudra, summoning, concealing, merging oneself, training the illusory body, and the actual practice. Among these six, the first has two parts: self and other. First, the person who is suitable to rely on another's body is, according to the text: Young and healthy, with a strong body and flourishing youth, good channels, great intelligence, and faith in secret mantra, having received the third empowerment and having previously practiced the self-body, possessing nine qualities, one may rely on another's body. Those who are not suitable to rely on are: the old and decrepit, with weakened senses, suffering from chronic illness, with weak intelligence, bad channels, not having received empowerment, and those who cannot comprehend secret mantra. The name of the instruction on the other-body should not even be proclaimed to such a person. Thus it is said. Second, examining the one with signs has two aspects: abandoning and adopting. In detail, it accords with all the hundred thousand signs, but in brief, the text says: Especially, with a good appearance, flourishing youth, and beautiful face, a gentle voice and fragrant scent, pleasing and with slow manners, small and firm breasts, a tightly closed and contracted lotus, white teeth and three lines extending upwards between the eyebrows, soft hair and a balanced body, a slender waist and great intelligence, possessing faith and believing in secret mantra, especially pleasing to oneself and respecting oneself, able to keep secrets and skilled in union, and with great desire, good channels from sixteen to forty years old. Thus, all the signs are

Perfection is the best. Having complete parts is medium, and the lowest is when it is neither flawed nor excellent, but just usable. Those with flaws, aged, diseased, with broken roots, or deteriorated; those who are narrow-minded, unable to keep secrets, and disrespectful to mantras; especially those who are disrespectful to themselves, should be abandoned. Thus it is said. Secondly, there are three ways to summon: through substances, mantras, and samadhi, according to the texts. Thirdly, there are also three ways to obscure: through methods, substances, and mantras, according to the texts. Fourthly, there are two ways to make one's own body firm: relying on elixirs that increase bodily strength and increasing bindus through diet and conduct, as known from the texts. Fifthly, there are two ways to train the illusory body. For beginners, if one has not yet mastered the illusory body, one should train according to the instructions on the self-liberation of illusory appearances, or according to other illusory body instructions. If one has previously trained and is free from clinging to reality, there is no need to train here. If one has only trained a little, one should train according to the texts on the self-liberation of desire. One should train until one has developed the experience of non-attachment to phenomena. If one indulges in attachment and desire, and the bindu diminishes, there will be many obstacles, and in the future, one will be born as a worm in the womb, etc. Because the faults are great, it is very important to train this illusory body. Sixthly, there are ten aspects to actually practicing the main part: generating oneself as the deity, taking refuge and generating bodhicitta, confession, the blessing of the secret space, actual union, descending, abiding, averting, and scattering. The first is: in the center of the palace in the place where one sits, on a lotus, sun, and corpse, light radiates from the two red syllables ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal meaning: hrīḥ) and མཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: मः, Romanized Sanskrit: maḥ, Literal meaning: maḥ), offering pleasing offerings to all the Buddhas. From the union of all the Buddhas, nectar of blessing and wisdom, the essence of great bliss, red and white bodhicitta, descends and dissolves into the two syllables ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal meaning: hrīḥ) and མཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: मः, Romanized Sanskrit: maḥ, Literal meaning: maḥ), melting into light. One visualizes oneself as the hero Hayagriva, with a red body, one face, and two arms, holding a curved knife and skull cup, embracing the consort, adorned with the eight charnel ground ornaments, with a green neighing horse head on the crown of the head. On the lotus is the syllable མཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: मः, Romanized Sanskrit: maḥ, Literal meaning: maḥ) completely transformed into Vajravarahi, red in color, with her right hand holding a curved knife embracing the consort's neck, and her left hand offering the skull cup to the consort, or without ornaments and emblems, naked and in union. Meditating in this way is bliss.
