Attaining accomplishments, and so on. Then, in order to generate the mind of enlightenment and other purposes, perform the ten-branch practice of accumulating merit: As before, take refuge in the Three Jewels and the assembly of deities of the Three Roots; from the expanse of space, invite all the peaceful and wrathful deities with strong faith; request them to be seated on seats of precious jewels, lotuses, suns, and moons, and so on; emanate bodies as numerous as dust particles and prostrate with reverence through the three doors; offer outer, inner, and secret offerings, both actually arranged and mentally created, like an ocean; confess from the depths of your heart the sins and downfalls accumulated since beginningless time; rejoice in the virtues of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing in the ten directions, including their immeasurable deeds for the benefit of beings, and all contaminated and uncontaminated virtues; urge the Buddhas from the core of your heart to continuously turn the wheel of Dharma without ceasing; pray to the Buddhas not to pass into Nirvana until samsara is empty; dedicate all the roots of virtue accumulated in the three times for the sake of oneself and all sentient beings to attain the state of the peaceful and wrathful deities. These are the ten branches. While reciting these words, remember their meaning and prostrate. Om Ah Hum, reaching to the end of space, and so on. May I quickly attain the state of the peaceful and wrathful deities! Recite three times, etc. Furthermore, there is nothing more excellent than prostration for purifying obscurations, so the order of prostration should be done in detail. That is, when placing the palms together at the three places, contemplate receiving all the qualities of body, speech, and mind of the Bhagavan, the peaceful and wrathful deities. In particular, when placing the palms together at the heart, contemplate receiving special qualities of experience and realization even in the present moment. When placing the five limbs on the ground, contemplate that all the karma and habitual tendencies generated by the five poisons are purified, and with the body fully stretched out on the ground, forehead touching the ground, place the palms on the crown of the head, contemplating receiving the invisible crown protuberance on the head of the Buddha. Alternatively, from the beginning, place the palms together at the three places, and then immediately throw the entire body onto the ground like a stick, performing the full prostration. This full prostration is the method of mantra, and in ancient times, in India, at the feet of accomplished beings...
